Now, on to the items!

Medusa's Makeup Metal AF Lip Gloss in Girls Girls Girls - Retail Value $11

To be honest, I’m not sure why they call this a lip gloss, it wears much more like a metallic liquid lip – full pigment, drys quickly, doesn’t transfer. AKA it is amazing!

Medusa's Makeup Cosmic Highlighter - Retail Value $10

This is a highlighter for those who don't shy away from glitter. It's a sparkly white micro-shimmer, and a little goes a long way!

Medusa's Makeup Eye Dust in Pretty in Pink - Retail Value $8

This eye dust is a fine, micro-shimmer loose shadow. You’ll need a good lid primer, but the shimmer + pigment is excellent!

Here it is swatched beneath the liquid lipstick and the highlighter:

Medusa's Makeup Grapefruit Astringent - Retail Value $12.95

This is designed to help improve your skin's appearance by minimizing pores and drying up oily skin. It's made with aloe, and designed to be used before moisturizer/makeup. Just spray it on your face and allow it to dry! (And it has a lovely grapefruit scent!)

Verdict: This box has a value of $41.95. I think that's great for a $15.95 beauty box that sends full-size vegan beauty products with free shipping. I really love the colors this month, too!

This is a great way to try out Medusa's Make-Up at a deep discount. And if you are intimidated by some of the colors on the Medusa's Make-Up site like I am, this is a perfect way to them out!

I just have to say I haven’t gotten my first box yet, but I am immensely impressed by their customer service. I used their live chat function to ask if I could get the May box this month as my first box, and they responded right away and it was no problem. I’m so happy because I’m highkey in love with the May box, and also excited to have a subscription that adds a pop of colour to my neutral collection!!

Loved that all “pink” box. It really hit my make-up needs. This month is pretty stellar too: silver glitter (which has an iridescent rather than straight metallic color), shimmery purple eyeshadow, orange-red lipstick, and eye primer.

All amazing colors to work with, and that glitter is unique (speaking of someone who has TONS of glitter colors).

Wow, I love the pink! I’m a pink Girl! I just ordered the May box today. Their customer service is top notch. I’m impressed. They went ahead and let me order May box today. I’m thrilled because I’m in love with all these products. I can’t wait to try these colors.

Depending on what I get in Ricky’s this month this may be the box I switch to. Love the lip gloss!

This is my first box from them and I love all of it! I’m really tired of getting neutrals from Ipsy, so this is perfect. Especially loved the color of the lip gloss (It feels more like a liquid lipstick to me, but whatever lol). And the shipping is really fast compared to my other subscriptions!

I’m assuming this is marketed towards adolescent/teen girls?

It’s an edgier, more theatrical makeup line. This month happens to be shimmery pinks but sometimes they go a little more goth or theatrical. It generally appeals to a younger demographic (under 30?) but as we’ve seen here many times, age is just a number and many people outside of the expected age group love these types of looks.

The sub itself is great, and I wanted to support an indie brand, but ultimately I cancelled because I got bored with the limited variety that most 1-brand subs have. (I unsubbed to Julep for the same reason).

I’m close to 60, and I LOVE the product colors they send. I don’t think dark blood burgundy lips would be flattering at my age, but other than the rare very dark lippie, I have so much fun with their products.
I also don’t find them to be one- note boring at present, as they’re branching out into some nice skincare type items now.

Jamie

Not really, Kori. It’s designed and marketed to people that like or want to try bolder makeup colors. Brighter, deeper, unusual colors that we don’t normally see in mainstream makeup line offerings. This is an indie brand, not owned by any of the huge conglomerates that own most of the brands found in Ulta, Sephora and the drugstores these days.
On a personal note, makeup is no longer just for girls 😉

Great review. I like the fact that you get the boxes sent so fast. The products all look pretty awesome. I’m bummed I missed out on the May box but I might check out the June box.

I loved May’s box.. Not sure why this box doesn’t get more love. I think it’s a great value, and lots of fun colors.

WOW! I love all that pink! I was hoping the lippie was a pink liquid lipstick, but even as a metallic gloss it is a pretty color with hefty pigmen.
