Each box comes with a reusable bag, too. This one is a shimmery rose gold with black lining:

Now, on to the items!

IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil - .05 g Value $7.50

IT Cosmetics is one of my favorite beauty brands, and this pencil was the first item I ever sampled from the brand – it got me hooked! This shade is a universal taupe, and you can adjust the shade by how hard you press it. It’s a perfect eyebrow tool for me, and I love that their formulas are free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates.

And on the other end you have a spoolie:

(Swatched in lower photo.)

NUDESTIX Nudies Glow All Over Face Color - 1.7 g Value $6.42

This is my favorite highlighter in the box! It's a white/clear base, with lots of micro-shimmer. It's easy to blend, and the finish gives you a dewy glow. Love it!

Dermablend Glow Creator Multi-Use Liquid Highlighter in Gold - 4 ml Value $8.80

This liquid highlighter is super easy to blend. It's very shimmery with a bronze gold tint. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer – 3 g Value $10.30

Tarte is one of my all-time favorite makeup brands. They are ingredient conscious, and their formulas work SO well! And this bronzer is incredible. I usually opt for a matte bronzer so I can avoid an overly shimmery look, but this bronzer has just the right touch of subtle shimmer to give you a beautiful, natural glow.

Here it is swatched beneath the eyebrow pencil, Nudestix, and Dermablend:

Benefit BADgal Bang Mascara – .1 oz Value $8

I've sampled this a few times in the past few months and it is officially my new favorite mascara – it made my lashes SO LONG!

I was surprised to see it doesn’t get only 5-star reviews on Sephora, but it seems like some people had issues with clumping. I didn’t apply enough layers to have any clumping issues, but I only needed 2 layers to have amazingly long lashes. I actually said “Wow!” out loud when I first applied this.

I think the trick is to go slow, let the formula somewhat dry before applying the second layer (if you need it), and make sure to remove any excess product from the wand before applying.

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Garden Eau de Parfum - 1.5 ml Value $2.94

This perfume is light and sweet - I like it! (And I usually don't like perfumes. Though, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue was my go-to scent in high school.)

Verdict: This box has an estimated value of about $44(not counting the makeup bag.) I think that's a good value for a $15 beauty box. At first, I thought it was weird getting a highlighter, a bronzer, and a bronzer/highlighter hybrid in one box, but I really like all those items! And the BadGal Mascara and IT Brow Power are two of my favorite makeup items, so I'm very happy with this box!

I signed up for the Macy’s subscription when it first came out and I know at the beginning there were several negative comments but I truly feel that they keep getting better and better every month in my humble opinion. I know that the cost is more, about $6 including tax than Sephora play and Ipsy but I definitely think the bags that they are sending out are really cool and creative and the sizes of the items seems to be much better each month. And this is the one subscription that I actually do not even look at the spoilers so I can be totally surprised when I get my box. I don’t know why that is but for some of the other subscriptionsI have to look at the spoilers but I decided for the Macy’s one when I get the notification of spoilers I just delete it so I can be totally surprised and happy ! Am I the only one that does that ?

Macy’s has become my top fave of all I sub to. I like them all or I wouldn’t sub lol, but yeah M has stepped up, esp for cost. The bags are MY FAVE of all. Cool but not ” too cute” and the sizes have been great. The long gold sparkle bag us great for brushes! Lasts months is always un my bag with my face sunscreen & all things summer. I dont care ab their spoilers either, i know it will be great. Allure customer service has been awful. Every month i have to email about a screw up…eye roll haha..

I am really wanting to order this sub box, but I see SO MANY complaints about billing, and trying to cancel but they still bill. I cannot stand bad customer service. So I am really weighing the pros and cons.

For what its worth, ive had zero negative issues

I love the mascara and the perfume. The bronzers are too light for me, and I couldn’t open the Dermablend liquid stuff. I probably could figure it out, but packaging that’s difficult to open or close is always a no for me. I just don’t have that kind of time.

I am really happy with this sub. This mascara works great with my lashes. Perfume smells really nice. I like how they switch it up every month.

I am waiting for my 3rd month of Macy’s, and I have been happy. Maybe bc some of my other “subscrition addiction products” are fullfilled in my other beauty sub’s, but the bad gal bang mascara is now my go to…never clumped on me, I have uber long lashes and with mascara they are like WOW and yeah, no need for falsies here. The all over nudestix highlighter was PERFECT. Not tooooo shiny i look oily, just right…even on my spray tan bronzed face! The water proof bronzer from Tarte I actually forgot i wanted to get online one day back in February (and forgot).i wanted to order by spring bc it is water proof…really happy came in this bag and it works! Has survived humid kentucky/tennessee weather all day.
The bag itself is great bc its long enough for my fave touch up brush during the day.

I’m not a fan of the mascara. My lashes looked clumpy and heavy which took the curl right of them. I do like the fragrance!

I absolutely love the mascara! It’s now my everyday mascara. No spider lashes here and It makes my lashes soooo long also lasts my twelve hour day. I had yet to find a mascara that lasted all day on my long lashes. Unfortunately I had to cancel the two subs I had for them. After my credit card got billed 4x for two subs. C.S. told me I was SOL until the actual box shipped for these extra charges to “drop off”. I’ve never had a box basically borrow money from me than repay me six days later. These are charges I didn’t agree to or authorize. I don’t understand how they’re able to do this to customers. I was thinking about writing the better business bureau. I was happy with them until this nonsense.

I had 3 pending charges for one box this month. I have no idea what they are doing. Hopefully only one will actually go thru or they will be hearing from me.

I thought this was a great bag. That mascara is also my favorite and I went and bought the full size but not at Macy’s. I am mad at them. I went to use my $5. card at checkout. I entered it, it took it and deducted but when I got my email it was full price. I looked at my bank and I paid full price. I called immediately and was basically told ” so sorry” nothing we can do.

This was all in a matter of minutes. I really expected better customer service from them. I will still get the bag but won’t order from them anymore.

The universal brow pencil didn’t work with my coloring, no matter how lightly I applied. The nudestix left a film on my face that I didn’t care for. Overall, the bronzing and contouring items are not my every day products. So, for me, this bag was a miss. I would say they were all good quality items plus I liked the bag, just wasn’t my month!

Great review, Liz! I like when you add commentary about items that the average Joe may not know. I’m waaaaay too pale to make anything in this bag work, but I appreciate the review nonetheless! 😊

I’ve used that mascara several times, and it’s not my fave, although I can see how some might like it. It gives me “Tammy Faye” eyes. It doesn’t separate lashes so they look spidery and fake. It also clumps easily no matter how I apply, and the wetness removes the curl achieved from my eyelash curler.

I much prefer my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes or Ciate Wonderwand for my tiny, short, straight, thin lashes. Those two work miracles on me!

The IT cosmetics super hero mascara is so many peoples HG mascara but it looked awful on me. Funny how something can work for one person and be awful on the next. My HG mascara is the Dior one we got in allure a couple months back.

I get the same effect from that mascara. Not a favorite of mine either.

I had to smile at the Tammy Fae comment. Yes, that is exactly how to describe the results from using this mascara. It is not for me.

You can’t go wrong with Lights, Camera, Lashes! 🙂
