Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. Each month they include themed collectibles and shirts – they’ve moved towards a mostly exclusive model – so you can’t get most of these items/variants anywhere else. May’s theme was Role Models.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

May 2018 Loot Crate Review – Role Models

This month featured all very questionable Role Models at best. Deadpool, Punisher, and Archer just to name a few!

You’ll receive this information sheet – the front shows off all of the items from your box, while the back shows the mega crate and DLC details.

Lebowski Pin – Value $5?

The Dude Abides! I love this month’s Lebowski pin – it really ties the box together.

Along with you’re loot pin, you’ll always get some digital bonuses:

Awwwwwww yeah – two Deadpool issues – including the first from ‘Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again’ – I loved that first run, so I’m expecting fireworks again.

Deadpool Pico-Boo! Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s exclusive shirt design features everyone’s favorite Merc with his favorite food group. It’s a goofy, fun, and fourth-wall-breaking design – in short, it’s very Deadpool.

Classic Archer Figure – Value $15-20?

This month includes an Archer figure! Some lucky looters even received a battle-damaged variant from the Danger Zone – did you get one?

It’s a two-piece figure. Vinyl figure and stand.

The figure is about 5-inches tall once on the stand.

I scored the battle-damaged variant! Here’s a close look at the damage.

Invert your box to add Archer to the rest of the cast – this was a nice touch.

Arrested Development Banana Stand Wallet – Value $10?

Now, there will always be money in the banana wallet!

This is very much an old-school style wallet. 3-fold and velcro – it’ll be safer than the Banana Stand.

Punisher Decal – value $5?

Ever since I started picking up my brother’s Punisher War Journal comics, I’ve always loved Frank Castle – and I’m so ready for this decal on my computer.

I popped it onto my office iMac. It blends a bit with the Apple gray, but I still really love it.

Bonus: Deadpool 2 Mini Poster

You’ll get a bonus 7×10 poster for Deadpool 2. This is a thinner glossy cardstock, but it did arrive in good shape – easy to pop on your wall or frame.

Verdict: First, I must say that I’m excited to be receiving less and less late shipment emails – they seem to be righting the ship in terms of the issues they had been having – so, that’s the first positive! I also liked everything in this month’s box – they hit franchises that I love, so maybe it wasn’t too hard to please me this month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, You’ll see the current them on the landing page – theme cutoffs are the 19th of each month at midnight EST.

COUPON – Save 10% off any length subscription, or $3 off month-to-month with coupon code ADDICTION or SAVE3

  1. Extremely dissappointed . For A “deadpool” box , the moment I opened it I knew I made a mistake in buying, I was a custormer a few years back and always bought lootcrates
( When they cared about us ).
This TRASH I RECIEVED is worth 6 dollars total and very boring . Until they fix their corporate greed, many others Like me wont buy again

  2. This is a fun crate. I love the t shirt!! My 16 yr old son had a Loot Crate sub for over 2 years and recently switched to the Fallout Crate. I always felt the items were good quality and it was nice to get a t shirt in every box. We recently started cleaning out his room and it was shocking to see how many Loot Crate items he had collected and really has no use for. At least my overflowing stash of beauty products from boxes will eventually get used.
