Laserbrain Patch Co May 2018 Review

Each month you’ll see a small coloring page/postcard in your bubble mailer that fits the theme. This one features a portrait of Hogwarts Castle with the first-year students crossing the Great Lake.

On the reverse side, you’ll get to read all about what’s included and how it pertains to the theme. It says that the company has wanted to do a Harry Potter-themed box for a while now, and wanted to do it right - it looks like they definitely did!

Hogwarts Castle Patch

Hogwarts Castle Patch - Listed Retail Value $9.00

My isn’t this stunning! I didn’t know what to expect when it came to a patch subscription, but this piece is so lovingly and beautifully crafted, the bar is now set for any future patch purchases I might make! I absolutely love the reflective material that was used as an accent color against the dark cobalt/violet/charcoal color palette. It’s a fairly straight-forward landscape of Hogwarts castle, but the “Up to No Good” lettering on the side makes sure the patch is also a bit punk!

Owl Pin

Owl Pin - Listed Retail Value $10.00

For anyone worried that their Hogwarts letter got lost in the mail in the 90’s, Hedwig has now arrived with it in the form of this gorgeous pin! It’s delicate-looking but incredibly well-made. It has a nice heft in my hand and I love the double-fasteners on the back. It’s also amazingly detailed - you can see the feathers in her wings and the “H” of the seal on the letter! I also really loved the rose gold finish on this piece. It seems like rose gold has been everywhere for the past couple of years, and it is an amazing addition to the design.

Deathly Hallows Pin

Deathly Hallows Pin - Listed Retail Value $6.00

Look at this! We were given a bonus pin this month. It was actually designed to match the owl pin - they both have the same rose-gold finish. Fans of the series will recognize the Hallows symbol of wand, stone, and cloak - and I adore the teeny-tiny size! I can’t wait to affix this to the collar of a button-down shirt.

Custom Travel Notepad

Custom Travel Notepad - Listed Retail Value $5.00

I might have died just a little bit when I discovered this little travel pad. It’s a checklist for all the things you might pack on a trip - with a few magical additions! I think I’d actually find this useful when I’m taking a trip; I always love items that keep me organized. There are tons of things on here that will help me remember the essentials while packing, but every once in a while my eye catches something like “gillyweed,” and it makes me giggle, too!

Verdict: Laserbrain Patch Co. has curated such a beautiful, lovingly-crafted collection of items! I’m a gigantic Potterhead, and these items really took the fandom to the next level - they’re so, so beautiful. I loved that the bonus tiny pin matched the bigger owl pin, and truly - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a patch as gorgeous as this Hogwarts Castle one. The items were so made, and the rose-gold finish on the pins made me positively swoon. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
