Golden Tote May 2018 Review
Eikosi Dress - Estimated Retail Value: $40
First of all, my phone broke and is sent in for repair, so I'm using my old phone, so I'm sorry that the photo quality is not what I usually produce. Secondly, I love this dress so much! The length is perfect and the design is simple, versatile, and flattering.
Aaaaand there's pockets!
Potter's Pot Mixed Material Top - Estimated Value: $35
When I pulled this out of my box I really loved the mixed materials together. But then I got it on and saw that the front is like, bib-ed? I know the trend where there's a printed chiffon fabric around the back, but something is just odd with the design here.
I love it from the back!
I just don't know why the striped fabric goes in towards the front instead of staying at the side seams. It just seems kind of weird. So close to being perfect, but just kind of off?
L Love Lace-Up Front Sleeveless Top - Estimated Retail Value: $30
I wasn't sure I'd like this top when I pulled it out but I really liked it once I put it on! The material is soft and drapes flatteringly, and I love the length. It's hard finding tanks long enough for me!
I love the lace shoulders on the back, too.
Stretch Peplum Top in Black - Retail Value: $45
This top is one that I chose this month. I really like the fabric and the style, but I think the placement of the peplum is just a little less than flattering on me, being that it's on the sides/hips and not all the way around under the waist.
Again, sorry for the poor photo quality on this old phone, but hopefully here you can see a little better how the peplum is placed.
Les Amis Floral Wrap Top - Estimated Retail value: $40
This top is the second item I chose this month and I LOVE it. The wrap is very flattering and I love the little ruffle detail on the sleeves! I was worried it wouldn't be long enough but with a black cami underneath, it's perfect.
Perfectly Paisley Kimono - Retail Value: $40
This is an ADD-ON item to my tote because I missed out on it on the launch date for April and I liked it so much. It's a light and flowy material, and makes a perfect layering piece for summer.
The Verdict: My May Golden Tote was really good! I actually really liked everything except for the mixed media top, which I'm still on the fence about if the front is just weird and unflattering or not. I especially love the wrap top I picked and the dress they chose for me.
