Boxycharm Subscription Upgrade Option – Coming This Fall!

The special edition box had big name brands. So if this new box can be described as the same as the regular box only more, then I would think it would only cost about $10 more. And it might include an additional hero item with a choice of beauty/skincare.

I sure hope they don’t go with the word “luxe” that word is as cringe worthy as the word “lippie ”
I hope they keep the price reasonable. But better and more products sound great each month.

Sooo… I was unsubscribed at the time of the limited edition boxes but I’ve heard it was crazy and hard to get them. Has Yosef mentioned if all subscribers will get to make the choice to upgrade/stay the same or will it be a first come first serve basis mad house?

I’m pretty sure I am going to go with the upgraded box if given an option and it’s under $50 per month. I paused/cancelled Cult Crushes so I am ready and waiting!!!

Boxy luxe definitely but I agree with everyone else that I would expect to receive better product brands and add ons from the charm shop of thing we want or have loved in the past would be a plus or even better. Boxy plus sound like a plus size clothing store as another person said, definitely a no on that one!

I live in Canada and I worry that a more expensive box will get charged duty/fees/ taxes at the border. Currently it gets here really fast and they value the box at around $15 So it zips right on through customs. Even a box valued at $20US would be charged a minimum of $15CAD, rendering the upgrade of little value.

So essentially, they’ve alienated all Canadian customers with this upgrade option…

Could be a little more money but instead of getting one variant or the other, the upgraded boxes just get all the variants…. That wouldn’t be a bad thing.

I know it sounds a bit crazy to say that I trust a sub box company, but I actually do trust BC and it’s owner to not toss the whole thing down the drain. He seems intelligent and very connected with subscribers.

Curious about the price point but I know I’ll be upgrading lol. Didn’t think boxy could get any better but I guess so, can’t wait for fall now.

I hope this doesn’t lower the value of the regular box like everyone else is saying. If they go with the name luxe, let’s hope it would actually include luxe brands!! And, I would love if we could pick add on items, or at least customize which extra products we would get in the upgraded box!

They should call it Boxyluxe. A better Boxy Wow so excited. Hope it doesn’t cost to much more.

I think add-ons is a great idea or being able to choose more products or the products you want for an additional fee. I hate the word Luxe but I hate the word Plus equally.

They did say that it will be the same box but with additional products. He also mentioned that the special boxes they did a while back were tests to see how people reponded. MSA actually has a review posted for it too!

I share everyone else’s concern. Even if it is extras how extra or premium will they be? I don’t want to pay an extra $20-$25 for Pur or OFRA. I’d i decide to stick to the normal box, will they do less premium hero products in the normal box to differentiate the luxe box? I hope they can find the right balance!

😯Not excited about this. I worry that our regular box will go downhill like Glossybox did. If our products start sucking, then sadly I will let Boxy go. Have been with Boxy for about 2 years and love them. Hopefully I don’t have to cancel. ☹

I’m with a lot of others on this thread. I love Boxy the way it is, and while I don’t mind if some would like MORE product at a higher cost each month, I hope that doesn’t change the box we all know and love. More is ok, but less is not!!

For those of you concerned about inferior products in the standard box, Yosef announced on IG that the standard box will have the exact same items as the upgraded box. The upgraded box will just have additional items in them. There are other sub boxes that successful operate on a similar system. The main subscription base will always be the standard box since only a certain amount of people can afford to upgrade their subscription compared to all the subscribers they have for the standard box.

Maybe the upgraded box will have the other variables in them added? Not sure but if they stick to their current platform and just have an upgrade option then it should be a great addition to their service.

Actually I don’t care what they call the upgraded box…but I DO care about the quality of the existing Boxycharm subscription. Also, I suppose the new price of the upgrade will also determine whether I decide to imbibe.

I know I’ll be jealous either way as I can’t currently afford a more expensive box, but jealousy I can deal with. However they better keep the current quality level otherwise I’ll leave. If suddenly the big eyeshadow palettes are only in the “upgraded” version and I’m stuck with just a four pan countor kit And some eyeliner I’ll be leaving.

Rather than two separate tier level boxes, the BoxyLuxe box should just have an add-ons. That way there is a base box, but you can pick and choose which items you want to add to it each month based on an additional fee.

Could be good, could suck. I’ll wait and see.

BoxyLuxe and I hope the $21 box will stay the same and the LUXE box would add skin care. That way, those of us who just want makeup could get the regular and those who want skin care, hair care and other things could go with the LUXE. But they better not change the Boxy Charm I just signed up for. I am loving it!!!

If it’s a few dollars more and you pay more for more products plus you still get everything in the regular boxy then Boxyluxe is great but if I’m getting bellapierre, ofra, and Pure while they get sephora brands then they may as well just raise the price and get rid of boxy as it is now.

Definitely Boxy Luxe. But. I really hope they don’t change the format of the current box. I would be very unhappy if the quality of the products went downhill, and the only way to get the products we get now is to upgrade. As the old saying goes “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Boxy Lux for sure. But, i feel like if they do that..then the 21$ a month items will be crap to make you pay more to get more items and better items except they will be Pur Cosmetics and Real Her type brands 🤣. Also, they should then include more of a customized item (like FFF does) if they expect people to pay more. I would never do FFF st 49.99 without customization. And then i think about the whole limited edition box mess where they made it seem like amazing value and a lmazing items. When the items sucked.. that this upgrade box would be like that. My opinion, my conspiracy, allegedly 🤣 ⏱it!
