Ulta Beauty Loves Targeted Treatments Box May 2018 Review

I Dew Care Pure to the Pore, 0.30 oz

I Dew Care Pure to the Pore, 0.30 oz - Estimated Value $2.32 (Buy the full-size version for $19)

This is the second mask from Memebox I have tried, and I enjoyed it. This is your basic clay mask that is great for oily and acne-prone skin, but it’s not too strong so it is great for sensitive skin too. I also tried this out as a spot treatment for one pimple that formed on my cheek, and this soothed it while taking it down in size and redness.

No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi-action Serum, 0.16 oz - Estimated Value $5.38 (buy the 1.01 oz version for $33.99)

This is a lightweight serum that helps with wrinkles, firmness, and brightness. I don't really have any wrinkles for this to fight, and I haven't been using it long enough to see my skin get firmer, but this does make my skin feel smooth and supple without irritating it. I do feel like my skin looked a touch brighter the next day after I put this on the night before. Maybe it was just the lighting, but I am going to use up all of this to see if there are any more results!

Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Wash-Off Clay Mask, 0.3 oz

Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Wash-Off Clay Mask, 0.3 oz - Retail Value $3.99

This left my skin feeling really clean on a day where my face felt sweaty, oily,  and gross, so props to this. This didn't leave my skin red and really helped my oily skin calm down, however, it is really similar to the Memebox mask also included in this box. I wish a different mask had been included so this kit was a bit more well-rounded.

Ulta Beauty Collection Hydrating Coconut Sheet Mask, 0.88 oz - Retail Value $3

This is a basic and simple face mask, but it’s kinda great in its simplicity. This was a great boost of hydration to follow after I did a clay mask, and the light coconut scent was pleasant without being artificial or overwhelming.

Freeman Beauty Infusion Revitalizing Pomegranate + Peptides Peel-Off Mask, 0.5 oz

Freeman Beauty Infusion Revitalizing Pomegranate + Peptides Peel-Off Mask, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $1 (Buy the 4 oz version for $7.99)

I think Freeman Beauty was actually my first introduction to face masks way back when, but that was the cucumber peel-off mask. This pomegranate + peptide mask is definitely the grown-up version, and it left my skin looking bright and healthy. I hate how messy it is coming out of the foil packet, though— it definitely got a lot of places I didn't want it.

NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads, 10 Pads - Estimated Value $2.33 (buy the 60 ct version for $13.99)

I love using pads like these as a toner in my routine, and these pads were gentle and not astringent at all. These rounds are smaller than normal, so I plan on storing the rest of these in my travel bag to have the next time I go on vacation!

The Verdict: As someone with oily and acne-prone skin, this kit had a lot of great things for my skin. I would definitely recommend passing if you have other skincare concerns, however, because the value of the box most likely won't be there for you. Ulta promised a $27 value with this box, however by my math the estimated value is $18.02. That is a pretty big gap, especially considering the price of the box with shipping is $15.94.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box is still available for purchase!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $15.94 ($9.99 + $5.95 shipping) and contained 6 different items. That works out to $2.66 an item.
