Snailbox April 2018 Review

info sheet

Each Snailbox has a featured artist, and this month it’s Becky Simpson of Chipper Things.

nicely wrapped cards

The contents came bundled together in cute striped twine!

Forever stamps

USA Forever Stamps – Total Retail Value $2.00

I love it when card subscriptions include stamps! Since there are four cards this month, I got four red blue and gold star stamps to send each one off.

Thank You stickers

Thank You Stickers

I also received four round stickers that say “Thank You” and each has a unique black and white pattern. Perfect for sealing the envelopes before mailing!

Thaaaaank You Card

Thaaaaank You Card – Retail Value $5.00

This pale pink card with a red-lipped mouth open wide to say thank you is really fun! I like the style of illustration as it reminds me of a papercraft. The inside is blank so you can explain what you’re soooo thankful for and it comes with a crisp white envelope. Use one of the stickers to really hit your sentiment home.

This Cabbage Is Like You Card

This Cabbage Is Like You Card – Retail Value $5.00

Here we have a single cabbage in a green-hued watercolor style that states “This cabbage is like you because it has many layers and comes doctor-recommended”. I like that this is a card for no real reason except to express gratitude to someone you wish to bring a little joy to. Comes with a kraft paper envelope.

Thanks for Being a Friend Card

Thanks For Being A Friend Card – Estimated Retail Value $5.00

Another watercolor illustration brings us a thank you card for a special friend. A person in a striped dress holds out a bouquet of flowers in appreciation and a smiley face punctuates the words “Thanks for being a friend”. And now I have the theme to Golden Girls in my head. This card wasn’t on their site, but since the other cards are this price, I made an educated guess.

Am I Really the #1 Mom? Card

Am I Really the #1 Mom? Card – Retail Value $5.00

You can’t send out cards this time of year without including one for good ol’ Mom. A not-so-simple hand-drawn flowchart guides us to figure out if our Mom is indeed #1. Spoiler alert: they all lead to yes! Perfect for a Mom who loves visual aids and creating easy ways to get to the bottom of things.

Verdict: Snailbox is an easy way to get the cards you need each month without having to go to the store and choose them or pay shipping by ordering online. I trust them to pick a great artist and curate cards that I’ll love! Getting the stamps and stickers are an added bonus!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but you have until the end of this month to receive June as your first. They ship on the 15th of each month.

Value Breakdown: At $20.00 + free shipping, you’re paying $5.00 per card. Since each card has a retail value of $5.00, it’s like getting the stickers and stamps for free!
