Graze is a mini-snack subscription box that sends a customized selection of treats weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Graze April 2018 Box

Graze offers over 100 different snacks that you can rate online, which, over time, helps tailor your subscription to your particular snacking preferences. Some subscribers spend time choosing preferences, noting which options they want to try, think they would like, or "trash" and prefer not to receive. Each Graze box may look completely different!

For subscribers with food sensitivities, it’s easy to "trash" snacks that contain gluten, dairy, or any other specific ingredient; however, Graze snacks are produced in a facility with nuts, wheat, milk, and many other foods that might not make this subscription a good fit for anyone with severe food allergies.

Boxes are shipped via USPS and are conveniently designed to fit in most standard mailboxes.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the 8-Snack, $13.99 a month, box.

Graze April 2018 Review

Graze April 2018 Awards

Graze April 2018 Nutrition Facts

Graze includes this handy pamphlet that lists all of the nutritional values for the month's snacks. There's a little feature explaining their badge system of indicating notable snack features (like high protein or a good source of fiber), as well as some info about their sharing and rewards program.

Graze April 2018 Cinnamon Pretzel Graze April 2018 Cinnamon Pretzels

Cinnamon Pretzel, 1.2 oz – Buy 6 for $8.99

Pretzels are my original favorite snack from childhood, so I always love receiving pretzel mixes in my Graze box! This one is mixed with almonds coated in a generous amount of cinnamon-honey flavoring, but when eaten together with the pretzels, the whole thing comes off as not being too sweet. I also love that the sweetness is delivered as a coating to a nut, so there’s a protein boost to go along with the sugar spike, haha.

Graze April 2018 Veggie Protein Power

Graze April 2018 Dried Beans

Veggie Protein Power, 0.98 oz – Buy 6 for $8.99

This savory mix includes pepper cashews, spicy dried chickpeas, and dried edamame beans, and it’s so, so good. The dried beans offer a little crunch, while the cashews add a change of texture. There definitely is a bite to the flavor here, but not so much that it masks the taste of the beans and nuts. I remember this being a favorite snack from a previous Graze box, and I still love it!

Graze April 2018 Wholesome Honey Nuts

Graze April 2018 Honey Nuts

Wholesome Honey Nuts, 1.27 oz. - Buy 6 for $8.99

This is a great nut-based snack with a just-right hint of sweetness. Not all the nuts are drizzled with honey, and the ones that aren't are salted, so it's a classic sweet-and-salty combo that really hit the spot for me.

Graze April 2018 Triple Berry Smoothir

Graze April 2018 Dried Berries

Triple Berry Smoothie, 1.34 oz. - Buy 6 for $8.99

This triple-berry blend has a bonus fruit added in: bananas! The dried berries themselves are strawberries, blueberries, and cranberries. I know exactly where this snack is going: right into my morning oatmeal! Promise you won't tell if I add a few dark chocolate chips? 🙂

Graze April 2018 Summer Berry Flapjack Graze April 2018 Summer Berry Flapjacks

Summer Berry Flapjack, 1.8 oz. – Buy 6 for $8.99

This flapjack flavor features that summer berry flavor I love so much in compote/dipper form, and the vibe is definitely present in these soft and chewy granola bars. I don’t think I could possibly eat more than one flapjack at a time because of how sweet they are, but they’re a great little treat for satisfying a sweet tooth after lunch during the workweek.

Graze April 2018 Super Kale & Edamame

Graze April 2018 Dried Kale Snack

Super Kale & Edamame, 0.85 oz. - Buy 6 for $8.99

This is my first time receiving a snack that involves kale chips. I love kale chips, but I rarely buy them because they're kind of expensive, and if you don't eat them all in one sitting, they totally lose their satisfying crunch. In this snack, the kale isn't super crunchy, but the dried edamame beans are, so the desired texture has found its way in there. I noticed this one isn't too popular in the Graze shop...it's pretty healthy-tasting, but if you're into that kinda thing, you might be into this mix!

Graze April 2018 Active Nutrient Blend

Graze April 2018 Trail Mix

Active Nutrient Blend - Not currently available in Graze shop

This snack is pretty straightforward: walnuts, dates, and pumpkin seeds. It's a little less exciting than some of the other snacks in the box because it doesn't have any sort of fun twist to it, but it's probably the healthiest one I got this month! I often feel Graze could tone it down with the sugar, so I'm not complaining about this option.

Graze April 2018 Natural Vanilla Seeds

Graze April 2018 Seeds

Natural Vanilla Seeds, 1.1 oz – Buy 6 for $8.99

These seeds are pretty good! The sweet vanilla coating is definitely apparent, but it’s not overbearing. I personally would prefer if these guys were a savory snack, but as with the Triple Berry Smoothie dried fruit above, I can see them being a good add-in to oatmeal or muesli!

Verdict: I was happy with this month's Graze box. It was a mix of snacks I'd tried before and new ones, as well as a mix of sweet and savory offerings. That's exactly what I hope for every time my Graze box arrives! This box included 8 snacks for $13.99, which breaks down to $1.75 each, which feels fair for the quality of the ingredients and the uniqueness of what you get per pack.
