Cat Lady Box May 2018 Review
Cat Lady Box is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for May:
I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box.
This month, there was an advertisement as well (you don’t usually see ads in Cat Lady Box).
Catnip Teddy Bear – Listed Value $5.99
This is the “crazy” cat lady version of the box, so I got two cat toys. This little guy is cute. I think Mr. Kitty liked snuggling with him. (Angus wasn’t as gentle, but he is still in good shape.)
Purrfect Greeting Card Catnip Toy – Listed Value $4.99
This is a stuffing-free catnip toy with some crinkle paper in it. It is lightweight and a great size for tossing. Monkey wanted to rub his chin on this one a lot, too. But he does that with everything.
Cat Mom Tattoo Set – Listed Value $5.99
These are two sheets of temporary tattoos. They don’t really go with my “office look” and it’s no fun to wear one where someone can’t see it, but I am off work in mid-May so I will play around with them then. As you can see, you get a variety of sizes and designs and if you really like one, there’s a duplicate set so you can wear it again. Or, if you want to wear the exact same one as someone else, you can do that too (my mom used to let us kids get identical things to keep us from fighting).
Cat Mom Necklace – Listed Value $19.99
This is a delicate silver necklace. I’ve put it on the necklace form so you can see about how low it hangs (please be aware the necklace form has a narrow neck, though). This is good for weekend wear, for me, when I frequently wear cat t-shirts and jeans. I wear pretty much all metal tones so I am cool with the silver-tone finish.
Cat Collage Purse – Listed Value $39.99
OK, this is just awesome. At least I think so. It’s not a huge purse but has enough room for a big wallet, phone, lipstick, keys, and a few more things. It seems to be pretty good quality – no weird chemical smells despite the printing (which is on some kind of canvas) and it closes securely. There is a chain if you don’t want to use it as a clutch (I’m not a fan of clutches as you pretty much lose the use of one hand/arm).

Here are my kitties with some of the items from the box. I woke them up to take these pictures so they aren’t too active (most of my cats are older and spend much of the day sleeping).
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $76.95 for the May 2018 (Crazy) Cat Lady Box. That is definitely more than I paid for the box (and an increase over last month’s value, as well), plus I feel like the listed values were accurate again this month. The purse really does seem (to me, anyway) like a high-quality item, and overall, there was good variety in the box.
