  1. OK – NOW I’M PISSED AGAIN – after being burning my first go round with this box, I swore to never never never give them my business again – I could not get anyone to respond to numerous emails asking them to cancel my account – I finally left a message on their FB page and someone contacted me within the hour – my account was cancelled – when they first showed the spoilers for this box, someone commented that they had added an cancel button so that put my fears to rest – I went in to check and there was a cancel button…..I ordered this box knowing I could now cancel on my own terms – that button is now gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time, I mean it, NEVER AGAIN….. here we go again!! 🙁

    • being burnt …… (duh)

  2. Tempted, I like the cream and towel, though I don’t do so well with white and the bag really does look like a 12.99 Walmart/Target bag. But I took advantage of the spring deal, and they charged my card twice. So I cancelled but had to fix things through my own card company and it took a long time. I’m just too nervous to risk it again over the 2 items that I like.
Also, this happened to me over a year ago as well, except I was charged for a the second seasons’ box at full price long before receiving the first box. Reading everyone’s comments I believe this has to be more than coincidence at is deliberate. Frustrating.

  3. Does anyone know the ship date for this box? Early June is too vague for me, I wish they would be specific! Whether or not I can order this box depends on if it would get to my in-laws place in time while I’m in the States. A few years back they offered a free 2-day shipping option from the day you ordered, if they would offer that (or even for an uncharge) I would definitely get this box.

    • I actually received my shipping confirmation on Wednesday. It is being shipped via FedEx Home Delivery and should arrive tomorrow. Yay! I am an annual subscriber if that makes a difference…

  4. For BOS I did have to remind them that I had cancelled. I was charged and the charges were reversed. The amount was significant, because I had bought at the annual level. Fortunately, this is not a major problem with me. I hope they get their communications together better. We had good & pleasant communication throughout the transactions – no nastiness on either side.
I cancelled because I found myself not fitting their demographics well and not getting $100 worth of use of the products. But I think much of the products are really nice – and trendy. They had an annual members event in February that I attended and enjoyed, so I did enjoy my year with BOS.

  5. Unfortunately the code isn’t working

    • I caved and ordered the box at this deal. Excited about the towel, coverup & moisturizer. I had to use a different email address in order to use the code, as I had ordered before awhile back.

      • Thanks Peggy! I used another email address and it worked.

  6. It took me 3 correspondences to actually have my account canceled. I think this company intentionally makes it difficult. Product retail value is over-inflated. I liked a lot of the consumables (Oribe💕), but I felt the overall style was more trendy than classic.

  7. I shouldn’t waste money on this, but I actually LOVE everything in the box! And for $70, that’s a pretty great price.

  8. They sent me this same code in my email and then i went to buy with that same email account and the said the code was invalid. If it is not meant for people who have cancelled before, why are they sending it to my email associated with a cancelled account. I saved $70, but I think it’s silly.

  9. I have cancelled quite a few times to take advantage of their deals and I never had a problem.

  10. Warning! Even if you cancel the credit card attached to your Zoe subscription, they will attempt to find the “replacement” card and charge you accordingly. I was shocked that, after I lost my VISA and ordered a new one, they went ahead and charged my new card without my permission. I never gave them the numbers for the new card. I called Customer Service and they said, oh, we use a “card forwarding” service. My credit card company agreed this is a case of hacking and blocked them permanently.

    • FYI – this is actually a common practice and not illegal. All four major credit card companies (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) offer an “updater” service to merchants to provide new credit card numbers and expiration dates for recurring charges. Getting a new credit card does not change your obligation/agreement with a merchant – cancelling your account does.

That being said, I strongly encourage all of you who are having issues with cancelling your BOS subscription to send complaints to the FTC and BBB. Keep records of your correspondence/cancellation attempts with them and dispute the charge with your credit card company if necessary. You may also want to check if your state has any laws regarding disclosures by merchants in auto-renewal contracts.

California in particular has some of the strongest laws on this, called the California Automatic Renewal Law, and it will be getting even stronger come July 1 (one of the new requirements will be consumers who sign up for a program online must also be provided with a means to cancel their enrollment online). I believe there have already been several class action lawsuits filed.

      • Thank you for this info….. I’m in California and I don’t expect my cancellation to be any easier the 2nd time around!!!

  11. Code did not work on my second account that had been cancelled. I use this account if I want to buy a second box.

  12. I can’t get the code to work. Anyone else having an issue?

    • Same.

  13. They still haven’t gotten back to me about their screw up by not canceling my subscription before the summer box. The discount is definitely not worth the trouble of dealing with the horrible service. Buyer beware

    • Same here :((( they said that they cancelled my subscription and then tried to charge me, but lucky me my balance was lower then $100 and it did not work… they tried charge me few time 🙁

      • You can now select a “cancel ” button from your account page. You can also edit your payment method to a ghost card (4444 3333 2222 1111) so they can’t charge you. You can take these steps and also email them that they are attempting to bill an account that has been cancelled.

        • They shouldn’t be attempting at all after cancellation, that is the whole point–horrible company!

        • Glad they have that feature now because their actual customer service and responsiveness is terrible. Even with this feature, knowing their lack of care when it comes to correcting mistakes has me saying never again.

        • jacki – where is that cancel button now?? I just went into my account to see and it’s no longer there?? Thanks for any help!!

    • This is an ongoing issue with them. I had the hardest time cancelling a year ago. Beware!

      • I had a nightmare of a time canceling after the winter box. I second (and third) the buyer beware warning!

      • Same, they charged my card for the summer box after I already had a cancellation comfirmation–then it took days to get a hold of anyone and still longer to get the issue resolved. Their instagram from last week is blown up with these complaints, only this is an ongoing issue not an isolated incident. They have an F BBB rating!!! I love MSA but I don’t understand why they continue to promote this company.

    • This is why I can’t get myself to subscribe to this box. Thanks for sharing your experience.

      • I had no problem canceling. I think it is like a lot of things you will have people with and without problems. It just depends how much you like the box if it is worth a chance to you.

        • Problem for me is, it’s $100 so if I can’t cancel, that’s a big chunk of change they’re charging. That’s why I just can’t do it.
