April 2018 1UP Box Review

Well, the April box turned out to be the swan song for 1UP Box. The final box includes items from Deadshot, Street Fighter, Mario, and Zelda.

It comes with an information card that details the items in the box.

And this little companion button for each theme.

Deadshot Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s exclusive shirt features a member of the Suicide Squad – Deadshot. I’ll be missing these shirts, because no matter the graphic, I always knew it’d be super soft and comfortable.

Deadshot POP – Value $10-15 on Amazon

To go with the Deadshot shirt – you’ll also get the Unmasked Deadshot POP!

I never really got into this collection and that’s because I didn’t particularly enjoy the movie.

Zelda Patch – Value $5-10?

I thought this was one of the best items of the month. You can sew this on, but it also has an adhesive backing to pop it on easily – and it features that classic line from Zelda!

Steet Fighter Stickers – Value $5-10?

You’ll get a sticker set featuring some of the best Street Fighter characters ready for battle.

Super Level Poster – Value $10?

The last item in the April box is a Mario level poster. It’s about 7 inches tall and 14 inches wide – and printed on a very high-gloss paper, it almost looks like it should be a sticker.

Verdict: 1UP Box always struck me as a good, low-cost, geek box for the younger market – so that will be a bit missed. In terms of an alternative box, I think Super Geek Box is the closest comparable to 1UP Box.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. This is their final box, subscriptions are now closed.

  1. Cute patch!

  2. Omg I’ve got to find that poster, my son is obsessed with Mario Bros.

  3. Anyone else find it heartwarming that the box all about enduring will be their final box. It’s rather poetic to have the final 1UP Box represent everything this company has endured through. They truly will be missed.

  4. This is confusing. Why offer a $3 coupon if they’re closing?
