RealHer "I Feel Beautiful" Shadow Palette  - Retail Value $28.00

This was my first time trying RealHer beauty products - I hadn't realized they were a vegan/ cruelty-free brand! When I saw the purple shadow, I wasn't sure this palette would be for me but on closer inspection, I saw some more neutral shades that I love. I wore the shade "Allure" over my lid with "Gorgeous" to lighten things up and add some shimmer. I blended it up toward my brow bone with the "Flawless" shade which works so well for me as a transition shade as it's close to my skin color. I used "Perfect" to highlight under the arch of my brow and the corners of my eyes. I am so happy when I get light shimmer shades like this in palettes! The shadows have good pigment but a good bit of fallout on the palette. I really like that RealHer donates 20% of their gross profits to AAUW, "a nonprofit organization that advances equity for women and girls through scholarship programs, leadership, advocacy, education, and research."

Emani Soy Mascara - Retail Value $20.00

Mascara is a tricky thing for me because I haven't found a non-waterproof kind that doesn't transfer under my eyes. My lashes looked beautiful when I applied this mascara, defined and natural and not super thick. Unfortunately, a couple hours into my work day I saw it start to transfer under my eyes. If that's not a problem for you, this is a great mascara. I like that it's also a lash treatment that nourishes with soy extract and that it's formulated for sensitive eyes - which I have.

Eco Minerals Mineral Bronzer in Holiday - Retail Value $27.64 USD ($36 AUD)

This bronzer is a great color for my fair complexion! I just wish it didn't have shimmer to it. The bronzer is made from natural minerals which provide SPF all on their own. The powder is super smooth and goes on nicely. Keep scrolling for a swatch of this bronzer.

Thrive Causemetics Glossy Lip Mark in Pamela - Retail Value $26.00

I am so impressed by this lip gloss by Thrive Causemetics. It's not too glossy, not sticky, and delivers great hydration that lasts for hours. I applied it in the morning, ate lunch, drank coffee, and though not really glossy anymore, I still have nice pigment left. I haven't felt the need to reapply it or put on lip balm. The color is a brown mauve and is very pretty, though a little darker than I like to use. I went a little heavy handed with my first swipe so I recommend going with a light layer first if you're trying this for the first time. I would totally try this out in the "Misty" coral shade.

terre mere cosmetics blending brush terre mere blending brush detail

Terre Mere Cosmetics Blending Brush - Retail Value $29.00

Vegan Cuts included this 100% synthetic blending brush as a bonus beauty tool this month. The brush is SUPER soft and did a great job blending out the RealHer eyeshadows I got in this box. I use a similar brush whenever I want to blend out eyeshadow but this one is sooo much softer and did a great job. Plus, the white with gold accents are very nice.

Verdict: The value of this season's box is $130.64, which is great! As I always, I love that Vegan Cuts sends full-size beauty products and lets me designate color preferences before the box ships. My favorite items in this season's box were the lip gloss (such a great formula) and the blending brush. The eyeshadow palette has some shades I will definitely get use out of. The bronzer wasn't my favorite, but that's just because I'm picky about shimmer. I can only wear waterproof mascara so I'm always a little bummed when I see mascara in boxes - I just know off the bat it's going to be a miss. Overall, I'm so glad to have gotten a new go-to lip product and a very useful beauty tool that is cruelty-free.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! The Spring box ships by April 12th. Billing for the Summer Box starts on June 10th.

Value Breakdown: At $39.95 + free shipping for this box, here's approximately what you're paying for each item:

  • Eyeshadow Palette: $8.56
  • Mascara: $6.12
  • Bronzer: $8.45
  • Lip Gloss: $7.95
  • Blending Brush: $8.87

Interesting box. In response to your mascara issues I highly recommend Thrive Causemetics mascara it is amazing. It never smudges under my eyes and makes my eyelashes so long!!

What do we do? Like I said I have a drawer full of unopened mascaras. Why, oh why won’t they send out some waterproof mascara? It’s not like we all don’t have eye makeup remover pads…

I am right there with you. I can only wear waterproof mascara! I have a drawer of brand new mascaras from my subscriptions. I have never received a waterproof mascara and have no idea why. Are we the only ones that need/want this? Lol

I want it too! I am too terrified to wear anything but waterproof, since my eyes water a lot.
