Unique Vintage April 2018 Review
You never quite know what you’re going to get with this subscription. It could be a party dress or one that you could wear to work. Let’s see what I got this month:

Unique Vintage 1950s Style Mint and Sailor Print Cap Sleeve Hedda Swing Dress – Retail Value $128
This is the first dress I’ve received in awhile without a back zipper (there are buttons down part of the front) so it was super easy to get on, all by myself. I would say the fit was decent. I have mentioned this before, but my hips and bust are XS in Unique Vintage sizing, and my waist is closer to M, so I compromise and get S, and it mostly works, although I think this one is a tad too big up top.
Also, this probably would’ve looked a lot better with a petticoat, but I was getting ready to go out running errands and to dinner and a petticoat wouldn’t have been appropriate for that!
Yay for (functional) pockets! I think they add a nice decorative touch, as well.
Here is a close-up of the print. This is unusual but fun. They do send quirky prints occasionally (remember the sushi dress?) but not too often. I feel a little bit like I am wearing scrubs here because of the color (like the novelty scrubs the front desk people at vets’ or dentists’ offices wear) but this was comfortable (there was a little stretch to the fabric that really helped it fit around the midsection considering my odd measurements).
Verdict: The dress I received has a retail price of $128, which I think is the highest value I’ve seen from this subscription so far (that’s more than $70 over the price of the subscription plus shipping). The design and colors are fun for summer and I actually would wear this to work (maybe with a white cardigan, my office is air-conditioned and I prefer a bit more of a sleeve). With a petticoat and the right accessories, you could go in a totally different direction with the style here.
