closed The Fantasy Box

The Fantasy Box is a monthly adult subscription box meant to help couples experience new things in their intimate lives. Each box includes a scenario or game with instructions on how to start. They also include high-quality products and lingerie to facilitate a full experience.

(FYI – not all the contents of the box are suitable for viewing at work. Some are adult products. Just a heads up!)

The boxes are shipped in inconspicuous plain boxes. Once you open them, you’ll find really nice branded boxes inside that are high quality and even have magnetic closures (great to reuse).

The Fantasy Box has many options in order to give you all the power to customize everything exactly how you want it. Here’s the breakdown of your purchase options:

  • Subscription: Fantasy Box Subscriptions go in a specific order, so everyone begins with the same box, etc. You can choose to receive your boxes monthly or every other month. The three tiers are: Essentials – $39/box, 3-4 products per box (may include sample sizes); Classic – $59/box, 4-6 full sized products; Platinum – $159/box, 5-8 full sized products (plus access to the “romance concierge” to help customize your experience)
  • Bundles (3-Box Series): The Fantasy Box also offers mini-subscriptions starting at $199 that explore specific themes that you can order here.
  • Individual purchase: Each of their boxes are available as an individual purchase. (Prices vary depending on the level of fantasy you choose.)

This is a review of the Classic Anniversary Box which is a Special Edition box and costs $109.00.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Fantasy Box Anniversary Box April 2018 Review

This is our first box and I’m so excited to see what’s in it!

This box includes an info card with an introduction to the game that inspired this box. It’s a two-round question and answer game similar to The Newlywed Game. The first round is innocent and the second round is…well…not so innocent. The winner at the end of round 2 gets to choose the first item from the box and start the scenario.

There are two rounds of questions, a whiteboard (paddle-shaped maybe?), dry erase marker, and eraser to use during the game.

Now, let’s see what products we get to choose from:

Jo Gelato Mint Chocolate Personal Lubricant

Jo Gelato Mint Chocolate Personal Lubricant – 4oz. Retail Value $18.49

I’m familiar with Jo brand products and really like the quality of them. This water-based lube is mint chocolate flavored and it smells and tastes like Andes mints. It’s slippery without being runny and doesn’t get sticky at all. This one is multi-purpose, so it will work for whatever bits you want to be minty.

Intimate Earth Heaven Aromatherapy Massage Oil

Intimate Earth Heaven Aromatherapy Massage Oil – 4oz Retail Value $14.50

If smelling like an Andes mint wasn’t enough, this massage oil smells like Hazelnut Biscotti. So good, like, Ferrero Rocher good. It’s vegan, paraben-free, and made with high-quality oils. You can use it as a massage oil, after bath oil, or even in your bath. It feels so nice as a massage oil – not tacky, and light but rich. My skin loves it and it causes no irritation. I also like that I don’t feel like an oil slick after using it and it doesn’t stain sheets.

Coquette Lingerie Set – Estimated Value $40

This nude and white set includes a one-size chemise and thong. It’s really cute and flattering because of the details. The mesh is smooth and stretchy and the white lace is comfortable and placed to highlight the best curves. I like the flirty opening on the back too!

Calexotics Advanced Nipple Suckers

Calexotics Advanced Nipple Suckers – Retail Value $10.99

The first toy included is this set of bright pink nipple suckers. They are a squeezable plastic and really get some suction. The edges are nice and smooth so no digging into skin. I think if you’ve been wanting to try nipple toys, these are a great way to start since the metal kind can be very intimidating.

Tantus Super Soft C-Ring

Tantus Super Soft C-Ring – Retail Value $10.99

I’m glad to see a male-specific toy included (works for us, but you can specify if this isn’t a desired item). This C-ring is made of super soft and smooth silicone that has a good bit of stretch which makes it comfortable and easy to use even at the height of the evening. The diameter will stretch to 4.75” so it can be used around the whole kit without fear of getting stuck. I hear that is a legit fear.

FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet Massager

FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet Massager – Retail Value $69.99

So for the finale, we have a bullet massager that, no kidding, jumped out of my hand the first time I turned it on. It has a lot of power for such a little thing. There are 20 vibration modes ranging from mild and steady to intense and pulsing. It comes with its own bag and charger and is 100% waterproof. The silicone is smooth and velvety and the power button is easy to access and press (to change modes). The slim shape also lends it to fitting in between bodies for when a little extra oomph is desired.

Verdict: The Fantasy Box‘s Anniversary Box has a product value of $164.96 and was a great box for us. We had fun with the questions and learned a lot. I like how the prompts help to make us comfortable and focused on each other. The products were all great quality and worked well together to create a great scenario. Even if all of the products are perfect for you right now, it is great to have them in your toy box for later. The emphasis on growing a stronger intimate life with one another is a major draw for this box.  Another big plus is that the customer service is totally committed to making each box a great experience and very open to answering questions. The Anniversary Box is an individual purchase special edition box but keep an eye out for the intro box review (new subscribers receive the intro box as their first box) coming soon!
