Now, on to the items!

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Face Palette – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $8

This palette includes a bronzer, a highlighter, and two blush shades.

I was seriously impressed with the sleek silver design of this palette, too. (Amazing for the $8 price point!)

The good news and the bad news:

Good: The colors are easy to blend, and they are flattering on my skin tone

Bad: Pigment just isn’t great.

It took several swipes to get these muted swatches:

If you’re used to intensely pigmented palettes, this probably isn’t for you. However, if you like the idea of contouring but have found it to be intimidating, this is perfect for you. I really like it for a subtle contour every day look.

And target included a brush to help with contouring, too:

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $6

This brush is made with soft, densely-packed synthetic bristles.

It’s a shorter brush, but still easy to hold.

You can use it for both liquid and powder makeup.

It’s an excellent brush, and I love it for contouring with the palette. Hold it the thin way to apply your bronzer and highlighter, then hold it with the bristles covering the most area of your face to blend.

Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara in 805 Black – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $7.89

I noticed this mascara doesn’t get great reviews, but I thought the formula was pretty good!

It’s not my favorite formula, but I was able to build out volume and length without any clumping issues. Plus I didn’t have any flaking throughout the day.

Dove Dry Shampoo in Coconut – 1.15 oz Value $1.15

This shampoo goes on clear and absorbs excess oil well. The scent doesn’t actually smell like coconut to me, but it’s still pleasant. (I was just hoping for a beachy, sweet coconut scent!)

Dove Clear Finish Dry Spray Deodorant – FULL SIZE! Value $5.49

This is one of my favorite Target Beauty Box discoveries and now I’m always happy to see it in a box!

This goes on completely clear as promised, and it is instantly dry, too. I don’t mind the scent, and the scent stayed with me all day, too. I think this actually works better than my regular Secret stick!

Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleaning wipe – Value $.90

I love this! I’m terrible at cleaning makeup brushes, and this makes it so easy. It worked well on both dry and liquid makeup, too. The wipes are only good for 1-2 brushes, though.

Honesty Beauty Makeup Remover Wipes (7ct) – Retail Value $2.50

These have a soothing scent, they’re gentle on skin, and they do a great job of removing makeup, too.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $31.93! That’s incredible for a $7 Target beauty box! I can’t get over how many full-size items are in this box! I definitely recommend grabbing this box if you haven’t already. I’m thinking of buying another one!

  1. They are selling these in store for $8 + change instead of $7 🙁

    • It was 7 dollars at my Target. Was surprised to see it. Totally worth either price

  2. Literally the day before this went on sale, I placed an order at Ulta for an elf cream contour palette and some brushes (including a blending brush). I am new at contouring and figured that was an inexpensive way to try my hand at it. This came out, and I couldn’t pass it up. I like that it’s silver, as the cream contour palette I bought from Ulta was black plastic.

I’ve since used both contouring palettes, and I like the powder one better overall. It looks less dramatic and is buildable. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t blend as well or last as long as the cream contour, so I would use the cream contour for a nighttime look or for when I am going to have a particularly long day. The powder palette is good for everyday wear.

The elf blending brush is like a cross-breed of the elf contouring brush and blending brush that I bought at Ulta, but I like this blending brush a lot because I can use one brush to do my whole face. It’s weird that both this brush and the one I bought at Ulta are elf blending brushes but have different shapes.

I love this deodorant, having gotten it in a Target box before. I keep one in my office for when it’s hot out and I have to go to court (read: put on a jacket). It smells nice, the scent lingers, and I don’t have to dry clean my jackets as often. When I run out of Secret clinical strength, it is going to be my new go-to.

I agree that the brush wipe didn’t go far, so it’s probably not cost-effective for me to buy more of those. I use a brush cleaning spray.

  3. I did not like the Honest Beauty wipes at all. I tried it with a vibrant blue eyeliner pencil I got in another subscription box and it really, really missed the mark in removing it. I scrubbed hard too, which is terrible on the skin of the eyes. Then I tried the Simple eye wipes and they took the rest off. I ended up using the Honest wipes to wipe my hands clean from swatching and face care products between applications.

    • Good to know! Maybe I will just use the Honest wipes as hand wipes for my kids.

    • I haven’t liked anything from Honest Beauty. I did like the scent on the makeup remover cloths, but they didn’t actually remove any makeup. But everything else in this box was a hit! I love Target beauty boxes!!! 💖💕💓❣

  4. The Elf Palette was my favorite item .I was very please with the pigment not too much But I have always tried to do makeup as natural as I can now if I could only find the perfect foundation dewy that does sink in fine lines.
honest wipes are good but I just get a medical smell when I use Honest products.
This is 1 of the top 5 Beauty boxes I have ever gotten for items and value

  5. Check your local Target. Mine had all 4 beauty boxes still in stock today, $7 each.

  6. I loved this box… that deodorant was a great discovery for me! I am not a huge makeup person, thanks to this and Ipsy I own 2 brushes total 😂 and this is a good starter pallet for me. I am buying another box, I have 2 tweens that have Bday parties every other weekend, so I have started curating boxes/bags w/ reusable packaging using anything extra in our stock. They really like them… you can not argue the value and savings here. I love Target boxes!!!

    • What a great idea for girls birthday parties!!

    • I have been doing the same thing making Birthday boxes for my daughter’s teen friends they love them.
I bought a bunch of jewerly 99cents at American Eagle add some beauty items they may like I get a dozen thank yous

  7. This was a great box, unfortunately that mascara is garbage, but everything else makes up for that.

  8. That elf palette for contouring and some subtle highlighting is absolutely perfect. I wish the blushes were more pink than peach, but for the money I was very impressed!

  9. My favorite Target box to date! I like the palette, as I’m very fair, so it works nicely for me. My go-to deodorant, always useful wipes, decent brush, and I can always use more dry shampoo. The only thing I tossed into my donation bin was the mascara. I have a couple fav’s and an entire drawer full of unused ones.

    • Me exactly.

    • Do any of yours dry out? Sometimes I go to get another out and it’s all dried up.

  10. I agree with everything you said. Good review.

  11. They are still not available within 100 miles of where I live. It makes me sad. I really like this box.

    • They were included for shipping online when I looked yesterday.

    • I wanted to let you know that I couldn’t buy a second box online for the same reason–tried 3 times over a week. Two days ago, I was able to order another one and it has shipped. You might give it one more try.

  12. Purchased for my mother and mother in law for mothers day. Such a good deal with the full size products in here. Throwing in a baggu bag and card, and it’ll make a cute gift

  13. Out of stock 🙁 I like those wipes, the deodorant, and I’ve been wanting to buy that brush for years, so it seemed perfect, but it appears to be out of stock.

    • Ulta often has B2G1 and/or GWPs on elf stuff, and they have that brush with a longer handle. It really is a great brush!

  14. Love this box! I picked this one and the mask one up at my local Target last weekend, and there were plenty of all varieties. If you’re still interested..check your store again to see if they have them. I’m in southeast TN.

  15. I got two of these just for the deodorant and brush, but I found the palette to be surprisingly good at making me look lifelike. If you’re pale, a quick dusting of the light blush just gives enough color to cheer up your face. I never wear any powder/foundation because I have freckles, so i was super happy about this.

    • Tinted moisturizers give a little coverage, but still let freckles shine through!

      • Which tinted moisturizers do you use? I really want to try some but hate to buy full size without any idea of where to start.

      • I’ve tried them, but nothing ever looks as pretty as my freckles when they are basically bare. 🙂

      • I don’t see my earlier comment that I tried to post.

Can you recommend a tinted moisturizer brand? Appreciate any suggestions!

        • I recommend The Balm’s balm shelter tinted moisturizer. Love that stuff!! It doesn’t cover much, just evens out your tone. I have a lot of red spots and it gives me such a natural glow.

        • Almay has a good one in a tube with a property to adjust to your skin tone. It is good for sensitive skin and has a moisturizing base. Available at Target so you can use a Beauty Box coupon, and there are often Almay coupons in the Sunday paper.

        • Clarins has a great tinted moisturizer, but I switched from that to the tinted sunscreen. Absolutely love it! The other good point is there are not a gazillion color choices; fair, medium, dark. Just be sure to ask for a sample cup to take it home where make-up can look much different than it does in the store.

          • Thanks so much for all the tips everyone!

  16. I liked this box the best among all others that were released that month. The items were great and you can’t beat that price! Hope to see similar boxes from Target in the future!!

  17. I thought this was a terrific box. I just ordered 2 more. Mainly because the Dove is my go-to deodorant so getting everything else is a bonus. I really like the Honest wipes and ELF brushes are always great quality. I wasn’t wowed by the mascara initially, but after letting it age for a week or so, I like it a lot more (i find a lot of mascaras perform better after curing for a week or so). I don’t really need the extra palettes, but I recently discovered my local Dress for Success chapter takes donations of unused makeup, so I’ll add those to my next donation box.

  18. I was able to pick up a good amount of pigment from the face palette onto my brush, but it’s pretty obvious that it isn’t the best quality (hard and chalky?). That said, it didn’t look bad on. I have a lot of blushes to get through, so I gave this to my daughter. I was surprised by how much I liked the honest cleansing wipes, they smell soooo good.
