Kids Girls' Say It With A Sock March 2018 Review
Say It With A Sock is a fairly simple subscription: You'll receive 1 or more pairs of fun socks each month in a simple shipping envelope. Sometimes they include seasonal cards advertising their referral program or other things of note.
This month for the kid's subscription, we got two pairs from two different brands!
Socksmith "That's Bananas" Socks - Retail Price $5.50
I actually got a pair of socks featuring bananas last month, but that's okay - the designs are totally different (and I actually like this one better).
I love the detail of the little brown spots on the bananas, and the subtle way they used two colors of yellow to give them more dimension!
My toddler has a few pairs of socks from this brand, and they've held up really well over repeated washing. This is definitely a kid-friendly sock in my opinion.
The cotton, nylon, spandex blend is nice and comfortable, too.
Rock Star Socks by Mast/Steiner - Retail Value $10
This brand is new to me this month! These are also a cotton/poly/spandex blend, but they have a bit of sparkle too.
The soles of the feet on these say "Rock Star" and I love this pale pink and gold color combo. This is definitely one of the most "girly" pairs of socks I've gotten in this subscription.
These are lighter weight and have more stretch than the SockSmith socks, so probably better for summer weather. (They remind me more of Bokkie if you've tried that brand.) These have a slightly shorter cuff length, too.
Verdict: I love both designs this month! My opinion about this box in general never really changes: It's a great gift idea, especially for kids who are into bright colors and fashion (or those who just need new socks all the time). You can be sure the socks picked are high-quality and will last, in addition to just being plain old fun.
Value wise, $13.99 a month for two pairs with free shipping is comparable to other kids sock subscriptions. Most juniors socks of similar designs fall into the $7-9 range per pair (which would put the box right around full retail value). If I were to buy two pairs of similar socks online or buy my own in stores and ship to a gift recipient myself, though, shipping fees would take me above the cost of this box.
