PinkSeoul Mask Box March 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
This box also includes an info sheet that details how to start a Korean Skincare routine, as well as a sheet detailing the products.
Tony Moly Dr.Logy Sheet Mask - Retail Value $4.95, Listed Value $6
This mask arrived in pristine condition, and the bite marks you see in the corner are courtesy of Duchess jumping in before I finished taking photos. This mask was very thin and hard to unfold, but once applied fit my face like a glove.
This mask was packed with Betaine Salicylate ( a variant of Salicylic acid) and Glycolic Acid, making it an awesome mask for my oily, acne-prone skin. After wearing it left my skin slightly tacky, but that faded after a few minutes.
Nature Republic Real Nature Hydrogel Mask - Retail Value $2.90, Listed Value $5
I love hydrogel masks! I thought this mask would be my favorite of the box, but it dried out kinda quickly. Normally I can wear hydrogel masks well past the 15-20 minute mark, but after 20 minutes this mask had dried out too much for me to want to keep it on. Overall it was not unpleasant, but I wish had a touch more moisture.
SNP Diamond Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3
SNP Black Pearl Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3
I’ve used an SNP mask before, though I don't know where it came from. These masks unfold easily and aren't too watery, making for a comfortable wear that didn't leave my skin sticky.
Hello Skin Jumiso Mask x 3 - Total Retail Value $9 ($3 each)
These masks come with a mesh backing to make it easier to unfold, which is always appreciated. I thought the packaging was pretty cute, and these masks didn't leave my skin sticky.
The Face Shop Sheet Mask x 3 - Total Retail Value $6 ($2 each)
These masks were well saturated but not dripping, and fit comfortably to my face. My cheeks were a bit tacky after using, but that faded pretty quickly.
W. Dressroom Perfume Sanitizer in April Cotton, 30 mL - Retail Value $13
This hand sanitizer was the accessory item of the month. I was cautious about using this— hand sanitizer has a strong scent as it is, and I was worried that the perfume would make the scent overpowering, cloying, or just generally not good. This applied as a very fine mist that dried into my skin almost instantly, and the first initial scent is that classic Purell scent. However, it faded quickly and left behind a cotton scent. It smells similar to a cotton febreeze, and I don't mean that as a negative. After using my hands were very lightly scented and hopefully less germ-y.
The Verdict: When I first opened this box, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the masks. However, spread out over the course of a month you have a new face mask to use every third day, which makes for a good hydration boost and quick pick me up. The Tony Moly mask was my favorite due to the way it fit my face and all of the powerhouse ingredients, but I had fun trying each of the masks. I thought the accessory item was a unique choice, and I am extra appreciative of it since there are a lot of germs being passed around the law center at the moment! This box doesn't promise a value, but I calculated a value of about $42, which I think is good for a $29.95 a month box that contained 11 items.
