Hey gals! Just wanted to give you a heads up that I got an email from support letting me know the boxes will start shipping out May 1st! *slutty happy dance* 🙂

OMG! I had trouble checking out when I signed up for this. It just kept refreshing the page. I just got an email that asked if I meant to sign up 3 TIMES!!! It said they’d be happy to fix it if it was a mistake but, if not, thanks for the support! I decided to take a chance and leave it in case the first box is super awesome. I guess two of my gal pals are going to get a fun surprise in May. I can’t wait to see the look on my delivery person’s face. I kind of hope it comes through UPS. My delivery guy is young and adorable. 😂😂😂

I bet the creators are happy their upcoming box is getting SO much attention but I’m sure naming it slutbox was all part of the plan. I really don’t get how naming it slutbox empowers any woman. Their supposedly against “slut-shaming” then their gonna send out sex toys in a box named slutbox
Reply
Stacy
One of the major points of the “SlutWalk” mission is to take the power away from that derogatory label. Since this box is apparently the newest addition to that brand, the name of the box fits right in with that mission.

Meh…I think the “slutbox” font is pretty scribbled….I had to really look at it to figure out what it says. I doubt the mail carrier is going to put any effort into reading the box and if they do…who cares? I’ve seen them deliver mail to my front door…they are hustling and not trying to decider the box sender.
I also don’t care if my young adult sons see the box. They are big boys they can handle it.

LOL! I bet my lovely Post Master and staff would love it if I got a box with the word “Slut” in it! Those ladies have as much fun as I do when I get a box that is worth opening with someone else (and they are not too busy when I suggest that I open it). I am tempted to get this box just so that I can entertain my postal friends.

I am guessing it will come in another box like the Target box for instance.

A couple people have contacted them and they said it comes with the logo Slutbox displayed. So yeah…. Lol

I agree, and at first glance it looks more like Hutbox. Either way, doesn’t bother me at all. It bothers me more that they’re not shipping until early May. I’m dying to know what’s inside, but I’ll live.

I was curious as to when the box would ship. I contacted customer service and they emailed back that the box would launch early May.

Thanks so much for reaching out to us! The box will mimic the coloring and style of our website, with bold colors and the stylized words “SlutBox by amber rose” across the top.
If you would like, we may be able to ask our fulfillment center to affix your shipping label across the word “Slut.” The box would still be boldly colored, but “slut” would only be visible in small print along one side of the box. If greater privacy is a concern, you could also order to a PO box. 😉

If you look at the instagram for the box, you can see the packaging and yes, it does have the name of the box on it and ”slut’. Also, there was a $5 off code sent to those that were on the waitlist. Not sure if it’ll work for everyone but it looks generic and one may or may not be able to find that code if they do a little looking (like at #slutbox on instagram)

Pam
What’s the code?

The code is rosebuds, I think.

I’d subscribe if I 100% knew the LeLo item was going to be an expensive sex toy. But they could totally put something else in the box. I wanna know what a $100+ vibrator is like.

At the risk of tmi… If it ends up being one, I’ll sub just to have a replacement when my next one dies. Got my first one in 2010 and have been loyal since.
If it’s condoms, no thanks. Yay being married!

Haha! Totally. I suspect it will end up being condoms or something and those aren’t a draw for me. This is definitely one I’ll watch for spoilers though!

So I thought I’d ask Slutbox about the packaging and here is what I got:
Slut Box Support (SlutBox)
That’s a great question, thanks for reaching out to us! The packaging will have no indication of what is included inside the box. The outer box will have “SlutBox by Amber Rose” printed on it, and absolutely no visible packing list.
I hope this helps! If you need anything else, just ask! <3

I really want to subscribe to this, but worried that the Lelo condoms will be in the box as the box description includes “safe sex”
We have a latex allergy here and that would be a valuable product in the box that was unusable.

Anna
Steph,
The questionnaire when you order asks if you use condoms or dental dams, there’s also an area to tell more about yourself. I’m hoping that means they’ll not include latex items for those with allergies. I may contact their customer service just to be sure.

Tammy Haley
latex is a common allergy–i imagine they collect info on stuff like that…

Well, I just signed up for 6 months and I’m really looking forward to opening that first box! I hope I’m not setting my expectations too high. I haven’t been this excited about a box in quite a while. And you know how that goes…when you have high expectations, you usually end up disappointed 🙁
Liz, I really hope you guys review this box! I am truly interested to hear what other people think of it.
As for the name of the box, I don’t really think they are going to have it plastered all over the outer box. But even if they do, I guess I don’t really understand why people would be embarrassed. I live in a small town and I get a ridiculous amount of boxes so the people at my local PO know me fairly well. And truly don’t care if they see the name of the box and then run all over town talking about me and my Slutbox lol. I guess that’s one small advantage of being almost 50. You truly stop caring what others think. And don’t forget about the reason why it has that name. It’s about stopping the slut-shaming and empowering women (and others) to be themselves. The “rape culture” in this country has got to stop. And so does the slut-shaming. There is so much more I want to say about this but I know this really isn’t the place so I’m going to shut up now. But I will say this…if you want this box, then GET IT. And stop worrying about what your USPS delivery person will think. Why would you care what he/she thinks? Why care about what ANYONE else thinks? As long as you aren’t hurting anyone, then just BE YOU. And hey, if being you means being embarrassed about the name of this box, then that’s cool. I just hope that if you really want the box, you won’t let what others think of it get in your way of ordering it.
Love and Peace, my fellow box addicts.

LELO is a company that provides personal vibrators, and things of that nature.
Pastease is a nipple cover company.
HoneyPot Co. is a feminine hygiene company.
Flirt Cosmetics- Makeup
Hope this helps to anyone deciding on this first box. <3

Anna
Lelo also makes massage candles, personal moisturizer, blindfolds, ties, whips etc. They own sister company Picobong that carries massagers at a lower price but quality think of it as H&M, Target or Gap for your vibrators.
I ordered this Box and may send one as a gift to a friend or two.
I was raised by a frigid woman (my mother) and it had a lasting reach into relationships. I felt bad for sex when I was married.
I’ve had a huge awakening as I’ve gotten older and relaize that a lot of us (women) we’re just not that good at supporting and fostering healthy attitudes mentally regarding sex.
I shudder to think that I’ve been responsible for making another female feel shamed for any of their experiences or preferences.

Rebecca
Anna, I hope you are doing well! I went through the same (abusive older sister), it’s been a long, uphill road but now I know women shouldn’t be shamed for being sex-positive, and I’m glad that you’ve come to see that as well! We should always try to support each other, not tear each other down. 🙂 Have a nice day!

I would love to see a review. I can’t commit without a spoiler…and a guarantee “slut” is not obvious on the box. I have teenage boys that get the mail. I don’t think that sends the right message to them.
Reply
Kathie
It IS on the outer box. It’s shipped exactly how you see it above. Someone asked them about it and this was their reply: “The outer box will have “SlutBox by Amber Rose” printed on it” Might have to pay your boys to Not get the mail for a few days after it ships…hahaha! 😉

maybe this isn’t the box for you, then…i mean…if you’re already anxious about it, why even consider it?

I think her concerns are valid. Wanting a spoiler before pulling the trigger is fair and not wanting her teenage boys to see a box sitting on their porch for their mother with the words slut on it is also a very valid concern. The word slut is a derogatory word (synonym: whore) who wants their kids to see that or anyone. The contents of the box are innocent and they don’t sound slutty and I find the title of this box humorous, but having it splattered on a shipping box is another thing. I highly doubt it will be shipped with slutbox displayed, the slutbox logo will likely be on the box in the shipping box.

***SPOILERS***
So, ladies, I did a bit of research…
•LeLo is a luxury sex toy company. 😉
•Pastease is a pastie company, they literally sell every kind of nipple cover you can imagine. lol
•Flirt Cosmetics just appears to be yet another makeup company that I’ve never personally heard of (I’m new to subscription boxes though).
•And The Honey Pot Co. is plant-based feminine care.
Personally, I think I’ll wait to see spoilers for the first box. I also want to make sure FedEx isn’t delivering it, because they sometimes deliver boxes to the office of my apartment building and that would be super embarrassing! lol

Based on the values and the box estimate value I think I know which toy it is, by going to the other sites and grabbing an idea of an item price. Lelo’s website has an amber rose toy box section and the lowest priced one is $139. I wonder if for the first box, they go all out and do that as the main item. The pastease are pretty cheap, it’s probably about $20 value for the honeypot items, and idk what the makeup will be. I think total RV will be over $100 but under $200. I would think they’d go for the nicer item for first box.

Ashley
I think the makeup item will be the MUVA mouth liquid matte lip, because on their Fb, she is pictured with them at different points. $18 RV

Just signed up and I love that the welcome survey included a question about preferred pronouns. That’s a simple touch that is really going to mean alot to some people. Definitely digging the spirit of this subscription already!
If the box isn’t discreet, hold your heads high ladies! Don’t let outdated stereotypes keep you from things you enjoy. If anyone has anything nasty to say, you can tell them to come fight me about it. I’ve got all your backs! 😘

I love your outlook and attitude, I was so glad to see “they” as well. A friend of mine has to explain the singular “they” all the time versus the misconception of it always meaning a plural “they.”

I just signed up. About whether or not it says Slutbox on the outside of the box – I think the point of this box is to NOT be embarrassed or care who sees it. If you look at the website, it’s about empowering and against slut-shaming so I don’t see them hiding the name of the box. It almost seems to defeat the purpose.
Reply
Redhed36
I would be mortified if they smeared slut all over a box and sat it on my porch. In the small town I live in it wouldn’t take long to get around and my nickname would become slutbox. I personally don’t think this sub will last long if they are not discreet with their packaging. I would love to try it and once spoilers are released I may (depending on packaging, LOL).

Thea
People would start calling you slutbox? Why are such folks people whose opinions you care about?

I know, I’m curious to see! It won’t matter for me, no one sees my mail.
