Lavish Bath Box March 2018 "Lucky Charm" Review

Before I begin, I would like to do a followup. I mentioned in last months review that one of the bath bombs was improperly manufactured and I was expecting a replacement. The company that made the bath bombs sent a new bath bomb, a lip balm, and a perfume sample. They also included an apology letter for the mishap. I was more than happy with the replacement, and I appreciate that Lavish is working with companies that take customer service and their products so seriously.

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bath bomb 1 Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bath bomb 2

Zen Bath Candies Over The Rainbow Bath Bomb, 4.5 oz - Estimated Value $5.99 (based on other bath bombs found here).

This bath bomb is gorgeous! It is pear scented, which isn't the most common bath bomb scent, and I loved how refreshing it was. Plus, the bath art this created was gorgeous!

Lavish bath box lucky charm march 2018 bath bomb in action

Heres a shot of the rainbow literally shooting across my bathtub. It was mesmerizing!

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bath elixir 1 Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bath elixir 2

La Luna Bath Lucky Ducky Bath Elixir, 10 oz - Estimated Value $10 (based on other bath elixir found here).

This Bath elixir is part bath salt, part crumbled bath bomb, all parts awesome. The mojito scent brings me back to my favorite mojito bar in Las Vegas where my mom and I like to play video poker, and a small handful of this bath elixir turns my bath light green. PLUS, a small rubber duck is included in this bag. This is fun and will give me at least four awesome baths.

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 lip balm 1

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 lip balm 2

HammondHerbs Lucky Lips Lip Balm, .5 oz - Retail Value $3.50

This lip balm is orange dreamsicle flavored, and that's what it actually smells and tastes like! I am happy that this is all natural, and my lips were soft and moisturized after using it.

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bubble bar 1 Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bubble bar 2

Butter Me Soft Wish Upon A… Bubble Bar, 4 oz - Retail Value $6.50

Hello, gorgeous! This bubble bar is lemongrass, lime, and caramel scented. The lime scent was the predominant one (which is fine by me— I love citrus!). This bar crumbled easily, and it made a decent amount of bubbles. This didn't give me mounds of bubbles, but it gave me green water, a lovely scent, and enough bubbles to be a nice bubble bath.

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 shower steamer 1 Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 shower steamer 2

Pretty Little Bath Shamrock Shower Steamers, set of 2 - Estimated Value $6 (Based on other handmade shower steamers).

I love shower steamers, but they are rather uncommon compared to bath bombs and bubble bars. These steamers feature a hand-painted shamrock on each, and the menthol and eucalyptus make these really refreshing and soothing. I almost always get sick during finals (which are fast approaching), so I am going to save these for when I have to be a functioning law student when I can’t breathe and want to stay in bed. I need to save these for when I really need them because they are a Lavish Exclusive!

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 bubble bath

Ms. Andry’s Liquid Luck Bubble Bath, 4 oz - Estimated Value $8 (based on other bubble bath found here)

Hello, beautiful glittery bubble bath! This looks a lot like what I imagine Felix Felicis would look like in Harry Potter, so I think the name totally nailed it. This is another product made just for Lavish, and it is scented to smell like just like Lucky Charms! Lucky Charms are one of my favorite cereal, and I am more than happy to have a bubble bath scented with it. This didn't make the most impressive amount of bubbles, but it made enough and I am happy with it.

Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 soap 1 Lavish Bath Box Lucky Charm March 2018 soap 2

Feeling Lucky Whipped Soap Sugar Scrub, 8 oz - Estimated Value $15 (based on other whipped soaps found here)

HOW. CUTE. IS. THIS. This was one of the spoilers posted to Lavish’s Instagram, and I squealed when I saw it. This whipped soap is made with sugar so it is exfoliating, and it has lucky charms on top of the soap that are actually mini soaps! This is another citrus scented soap with clementines, pink grapefruit, and Valencia orange, and the soap itself is mildly exfoliating while also being moisturizing. I normally prefer body washes to soap, but this is currently my go-to and I will be using every last bit. This is another Lavish exclusive which makes it even more special, but if you're jealous and want one for your own (which you should) the company that made this soap has other cute whipped soaps that you can find here (I think the alien one is really cute!).

The Verdict: Once again, Lavish Bath Box blew me away with their thoughtful curation and unique products. I love that the bath elixir, whipped soap, and bubble bath are products I can use multiple times, and I felt like a good mix of products were included. I calculated an estimated value of $54.99 for this box, which is just over the cost of the box. This isn’t a subscription where you will get three or four times in retail value what you pay for the box, but you will get thoughtfully curated high-quality products.

I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

WOW! 🙀this box is amazing!! I would have no problem spending my money on this! Every single item was so unique and pretty and I’m sure smelled so good! This is the first I’m hearing aboit this box don’t know how I missed the other review but I’m so glad I read this one! Only thing I’m wondering about is that on the info card it says “lavish fresh fun free” what is the “free” for???? What’s free?? Is it because its free from harmful stuff ?

I wish they had a quarterly option – a bit steep for a monthly bath box! (I’d rather pay say $50 a quarter w one or two more items)

Lavish is one of my favorite boxes! 100% cruelty free, Vegan friendly and they support small businesses – It’s a win on all levels for me. I am delighted to see it getting more recognition. I think it’s important to remember small independent Etsy vendors typically can’t offer great shipping rates on the purchase of one or two heavier items like a bath bomb or whipped soap. Even though the box contents may appear to be just over the cost of the box, if you bought all the items individually from the vendors, shipping cost would be a HUGE factor. This month’s box was amazing!

Lavish bath box has always been one of my favorite boxes. Their themes and curation are the best I’ve seen in any sub. Ive stopped subscribing since my bath stuff started piling up but I can’t resist a month when there is a good theme and will be back.

What an awesome box! I’m so in the fence on this one. On one hand I get surprise awesome bath goodies or I could go to lush monthly and know what I get. The curation is amazing. So happy to know about these companies. Wonderful review.

Wow! I am getting my first month of Fortune Cookie soon and it better wow me because this box did and now the competition is even higher.

Fortune Cookie is going to give you a lot more variety of items (most are not bath items). I have a ton of their stuff and I love it, plus it’s fairly easy to resell on some of the fan group facebook pages…. this box is really tempting me though. I’ve been getting more and more fcs product types that I won’t really use (like highlighter or clarifying shampoo – which is not good for colored hair).

Ms. Andry’s Bath House is my all time favorite self care company. It’s a small, woman-owned business that gives back! I highly recommend checking out more of their products. I just got a shipment from them yesterday and everything was amazing as usual!

This looks like an amazing box. I didn’t know that brands other than Lush make gorgeous bath bombs that make bath art. I will look into zen bath bombs. I probably take three baths a week. I also love shower bombs and have only used Level Naturals before. This is great to find to new to me brands. Thanks for the review!
