The box includes a brochure detailing everything in the box, along with this months theme: But First, Sleep.

Also included is a list of the GYL featured coaches of the month. Simply go to the website listed under each card to schedule yourself a free 30-minute coaching session— no code needed! Each month features different coaches who have expertise in that month's theme.

Some other included literature features a bookmark, a coupon from one of the included brands, and more information on the included book.

The Sleep Revolution by Arianna Huffington,

The Sleep Revolution by Arianna Huffington - Retail Value $16 (found here for $10.66)

I have always known that getting enough sleep is important, and I am still really irritated that 7+ years ago when I would nap on a Sunday my dad would wake me up because he worried I wouldn't sleep at night. I was in high school, in AP classes, doing multiple extracurricular activities. I needed those naps. So while this book wasn't groundbreaking to me, it included a lot of really neat information on sleep and how it relates to our daily lives and American culture. I appreciated the data included, and I also enjoyed the personal examples of how sleep (and the lack of it) can negatively affect us. From Amazon:

Co-founder and editor in chief of The Huffington Post Arianna Huffington shows how our cultural dismissal of sleep as time wasted compromises our health and our decision-making and undermines our work lives, our personal lives--and even our sex lives in this New York Times bestseller.

The Sleep Revolution Unofficial Workbook

The Sleep Revolution Unofficial Workbook - Listed Value $14.95

Go Love Yourself always includes an unofficial workbook, and I really like this spiral bound version. The workbook takes what is preached in The Sleep Revolution and helps you implement new practices. This is a great way to be more mindful of your sleeping habits and how you can improve them (or at least be aware of them).

Sincerely Different Sweet Dreams Salve, .5 oz

Sincerely Different Sweet Dreams Salve, .5 oz - Retail Value $10

This salve is scented with Chamomile, Lavender, and Frankincense, and since it is on the thicker end it takes a few seconds to really rub it into the skin. This is designed to go on your temples, behind your ears, and your wrists, and I noticed as I was massaging the salve into my skin I was really able to focus on the salve, the scent, and the relaxing process that was helping me get ready for bed. I have been sleeping well since using it, so I will continue to use the entire tin. This may be something I repurchase if my good nights of sleep are sustained!

Indigo Lavender Lavender Chamomile Tea, .33 oz

Indigo Lavender Lavender Chamomile Tea, .33 oz - Retail Value $6

This loose-leaf tea is made of just dried chamomile and dried lavender, and it made for a light cup of relaxing tea. I noticed this tea had a really pleasant feel and soothing taste at the back of my throat as I drank it, and a hot cup of (non-caffeinated!) tea always helps me relax and get ready for bed. All of this tea will be consumed!

Three Schatze Sleep Well Eye Mask - Retail Value $14.99, Listed Value $8.75

This eye mask is so soft. The minky batting on the eye mask makes my eyes feel like they are being given a soft hug. This mask fits a little loose on me, but in a comfortable way. I also love the flower design! I have been keeping this next to my bed because while I don't typically use them when I fall asleep I reach for eye masks when I wake up in the middle of the night or early morning when I have more time to sleep before I need to get up. Sliding this on over my eyes blocks out the blue light from my coffee maker or the very beginnings of dawn, helping me to fall back asleep quickly.

The Balm Lady Knockout Pillow Spray, 2 oz

The Balm Lady Knockout Pillow Spray, 2 oz - Retail Value $9.97

This pillow spray is a “restful sleep aid” and “dream enhancer.” First off, I am really happy with the care that was taken in packaging this glass bottle. Considering all of the paper goods that were included in this box, if this had broken in transit it could have ruined most of the box. However, the bubble wrap + ziplock bag resulted in this bottle arriving safe and sound! I have been using the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray since it came in my winter FabFitFun box, and I was excited to try a new version. The mix of lavender, chamomile, orange, ylang, ylang, and sandalwood smelled like a unique cousin to the This Works thanks to the lavender and chamomile, but the orange, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood made this scent a bit muskier (in a good way). I have had one good night of dreamless sleep, and one night of sleep with a dream I could recall (it was about my massive extended family and I got presents, so it was a good dream), and while I don't know if I would have had this dream without using this product, I am happy to have experienced this pillow spray.

Yoga For You Online Bedtime Yoga and Guided Meditation - Retail Value $20

This box also included a voucher for a bedtime yoga and guided meditation, which I think is an awesome (and unique!) box inclusion. I enjoy yoga and always feel better after I do it, so I am excited that I will be getting bedtime yoga classes and guided meditation sent to my email! The signup process was easy, and I am excited to try this out! Now to clear the floor in my living room to have enough space for yoga…

Dog Candle Co Beauty Sleep Candle

Dog Candle Co Beauty Sleep Candle, 9 oz? - Listed Value $24.95

This candle doesn't come with the size listed but based on eyeballing it plus the other candles sold by Dog Candle Co I would call this a 9 oz candle. This is an exclusive collaboration with GLY, and the notes of white tea, jasmine, and rose make for a soothing and lovely candle scent. I lit this candle and sat next to it while sipping on my chamomile and lavender tea, and the overall experience was calming and relaxing. I prefer my candles to have a slightly stronger scent, but the gentle notes of this one are perfect for getting ready for bed.

The Verdict: I honestly think this is the best box yet from Go Love Yourself. All of the included products go perfectly into a bedtime routine, and having one (according to studies that I don't remember off the top of my head) means that you are more likely to sleep better at night. Each included item seemed like a thoughtful addition, and I enjoyed using all of them! I calculated a value of about $117, and that doesn't include the value of the free coaching session included in every box or other extras. That retail value isn't the highest one I have seen from this box, but this box definitely has the highest personal value of items I will actually use. This is also a box where the thoughtful curation also really adds additional value.

The Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: This box cost $60.50 ($49.95 for the box and $10.55 for shipping), and I calculated a value of $116.86, not including some of the items I view as extras. That means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • The Sleep Revolution: $8.28
  • Workbook: $7.74
  • Sweet Dreams Salve: $5.18
  • Lavender Chamomile Tea: $3.11
  • Eye Mask: $7.76
  • Knockout Pillow Spray: $5.16
  • Yoga & Meditation Class: $10.35
  • Candle: $12.92
