March 2018 Doki Doki by Japan Crate Review

There’s always a handy pamphlet in this box that outlines the items inside! This month’s theme is Spring Cleaning, which I thought was an awesome idea for this March box.

Potekoro Friends Plush

This round, sweet stuffed animal is so unique - I don’t remember seeing too many stuffed chipmunks in my time! The fur on this li’l guy is super-soft, and the round shape is highly cuddleable. It’s like this box came with its own hug!

Maru De Pan Sponge in packaging

This looks just like a buttered piece of toast and has two different textures on its sides meant for cleaning. I love when these boxes include the most useful items that can be so easily integrated into your daily routine, but truly, this might just be wayyyy too cute to use to clean!

Rilakkuma Mini Basket

What a clever item for this box theme! This little basket is perfect for corralling all the small items I seem to accumulate around the house, like tiny highlighters, pens, and post its. This is perfect for perching on my desk to keep all the little things I use on the daily organized!

A bonus gift! The pamphlet said this was an extra item this month to help subscribers feel refreshed, and sheets masks are one of my favorite ways to unwind. I love these Disney ones; they’re so gentle and really hydrate my skin, and the directions suggest leaving them on for 20-30 minutes - the perfect length for a well-deserved time-out.

Gudetama Blind Box packaging

Gudetama Blind Box

There were eight possible poses of Gudetama I could have received in this box, and this one is just hanging out, just relaxing. It’s a perfect size to use at a work desk to fidget with while thinking about Important Work Things, and it also really brightens up a space with its cheery colors and expression!

Disney Message Board

Disney Message Board

I received the Buzz Lightyear Message Board out of eight possible choices. I’ve never seen this animation style for this particular character before; I’m used to the original animation style from the movies. I just watched Toy Story on cable recently, and I had forgotten how completely awesome it is. This would be absolutely perfect for my best friend’s nephew, so I’m going to pass it along to her so that he can share in the fun!

Verdict: There is something so soothing about receiving boxes of things that are just plain cute. Everything makes me giggle and I love using the different items around my house! It’s a slightly different form of self-care, but receiving these boxes are such a nice way to unwind after a long day. I loved the baby chipmunk this month, and the bonus gift of the mask was awesome! I also really liked the toast sponge and how useful the items ended up being.

The items are cute, but their Match coupon was misleading. They said if you used it, you’d get some extra goodies (Best of 2017), and they never shipped them. A least to me or other people I know. There were some people complaining on Instagram as well that they never received the extras. Unsubscribed.

Hmm, I hadn’t heard about the extra goodies! That’s a good point about customs, though – I imagine packages can get delayed or appear to arrive “out of order,” if you will. I hope you get them soon, though! <3

I received the extras before the crate, so maybe yours is still going through customs or just delayed?
