Burgundy Fox Underwear Subscription April 2018 Review
When you first sign up for this subscription, they have you go through a “style profile” to tell them what you like and dislike so that they can send you undies that you’ll love. Not everyone will receive the same thing since it’s based on your wants.
There’s a card with a positive and uplifting quote on one side and a thank you note from founders Leslie & Alexis on the other. They also briefly talk about why they chose Parfait as the featured brand.
The next card points you in the direction of how to get rewards by referring friends, their social media handles, and who to email if you need to exchange.
Parfait Lingerie So Essential Hipster Undies in Sky Blue – Retail Value $ 12.00 (or buy 3 for $33.00)
The first pair chosen for me is the So Essential Hipster that is 85% polyamide and 15% spandex. They are incredibly soft and have a wide white lace band at the top with a tiny blue bow. I don’t own any light blue underwear, so these are a bit out of my comfort zone since I normally try to stay with dark colors. I do like this blue overall though, so it’s a nice change. When I first slipped them on I was afraid they’d be slightly too small (I wear a large) but once they were on they seemed to stretch just enough and not be uncomfortable.
Parfait Lingerie So Essential Bikini Undies in Sky Blue x2 – Total Retail Value $24.00 ($12.00 each or buy 3 for $33.00)
These are essentially the same undies but with slightly narrower sides, making them bikini cut instead of a hipster. Two more sky blue colored pairs came in this style, and they have the same fit that just covers a little less area. When I originally filled out the style profile, I asked for little to no lace since I usually rock stiletto-shaped acrylic nails that tend to rip through delicate fabrics if I’m not super careful, so these were a surprising style to receive. Luckily for me, I recently chopped my nails down and got them rounded out so the lace shouldn’t be a problem here. I’d also like to thank whoever was in charge of putting the tag on the side of the undies instead of in the middle of the back. That has to be the worst spot for a tag in underwear, and yet so many companies continue to do it. Thanks, Parfait!
Parfait Lingerie So Essential Bikini Undies in Black x2 – Total Retail Value $24.00 ($12.00 each or buy 3 for $33.00)
The last style I received this quarter is the same as above, but in solid black which is my preferred color for any undergarments. The black solid fabric body matches the black lace and also has a tiny black bow like the other pairs. They doubled up on this color/style combo as well to fulfill the five total pairs. These have the same fit and soft feel as the others, but I must mention the downside to all of them: they are handwash only. I know a lot of people hang or generally air dry their intimates, but handwashing? Oh me oh my, that will probably never happen. I may have to look into finding one of those delicate clothing bags to toss into the washer if that is an option.
Verdict: My second Burgundy Fox wasn’t as wonderful as the first one I received, but since they got me so perfectly the first time, it was probably hard to follow up afterward. The five pairs of undies I received fit my body, were flattering on, and super comfy, but I was a little bummed to find that they are handwash. If I ever get my pointy nails back, that lace’s days are also numbered. Even though light blue isn’t my top choice, I did let them know that variety is good, so I’m sure they don’t want to send me black underwear every time. All in all, I LOVE receiving high-quality undies every 3 months without having to think about it.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Since everyone has different style profile answers, you probably won’t get the same items I did, but it looks like they have a featured company each time.
Value Breakdown: At $49.00 for this box, you’re paying $9.80 per pair of undies which is saving me at least $8.00 if I were to buy the same 5 pair elsewhere (3 for $33.00 plus 2 more at $12.00 each). Plus- they’ll be donating a box to girls in need because of my purchase.
