Now, let's talk products and how I used them!
First I began with a bare face.
I applied the Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner all over my face following the directions on the back of the tube. The instructions say to apply a thin layer avoiding the eye area of course. You may not be able to see but it's a white cream filled with small tiny blue beads. It said to leave it on five to ten minutes.
You guys can't see it here but when I put it on it turned a slight shade of light blue, how fun is that? The smell was quite pleasant so I left it on the full ten minutes it suggested. It tightens pretty quickly and has a slight cooling sensation that feels good to the skin. It has a microdermabrasion feel to it as well, and like many of his products, you only need a little to get the job done.
After rinsing it off with warm water & patting my skin off with my makeup towel, I immediately saw my skin was brighter and super cleansed. The main question is….Did this product work? Are my pores super cleansed and do they look smaller? The answer is YES! I did notice that my face was very clean and my pores looked surprisingly minimized! So far I'm very pleased and can't wait to see what my pores look like after a few more uses.
I jumped right into this Tonya Crooks brow product. I was actually pretty excited to see a product from this brand again. The BrowGal Instatint Tinted Eyebrow Gel in the color 02 was a bit brighter than my brows, but once I added a second layer it seemed to work out fine. It's a light mousse-like formula with special microfibers that are supposed to give a natural hair like appearance. My main struggle with brows is getting them to appear more natural, so just the sound of that has me rushing to get this product open. Enough talking, let's get this on……
Here is a picture of one brow done (two coats).
And here is both brows complete. The tiny brush applies the product better than any brow product I own. The moose formula is very light almost feels like nothing at all. Its claims are to wear ALL DAY and if that is true, then this just may be my favorite brow product so far! Let's get into our eye look:
I already knew that there would be five different amazing Eyeshadow Palettes from Colorpop and I received the Semi-Precious palette. Because this particular palette only has shimmers, I also used two matte colors that you guys can get from anywhere (dark brown & black matte) so I began my eye look with a simple dark brown matte that looks like this.
I could hardly wait to jump into this palette gorgeous Semi-Precious palette. Although you only get 8 shades in this palette, the pans are bigger. They are highly pigmented & very creamy! This particular palette has the best of both worlds! It has your everyday neutrals and a few slight pops of color. I placed a tiny heart on the colors so you guys can get a better look and follow along with me. On top of the dark brown matte, I added the shade “West Star” to create this cocoa brown color. It may be a bit difficult to see against my skin tone but it's there lol.
Next, I took my finger and picked up this amazing cranberry shade called “Easy Go”. I used my finger because I plan on packing this color in the center of my eye and I believe the finger method is best! Lol
This is how it looks so far...
Then I took a nice fluffy brush and softened out the harsh lines, leaving a hint of that cranberry color.
Next, I thought this beautiful champagne shade called “Celestial" would be a great brow bone color. I placed it right underneath my brows making sure to blend it very well.
After adding my brow bone color, I took the matte black I told you about and added that to the outer corner of my eye look.
After adding some simple black eyeliner, I added the color “Up & Atom” into my inner corners.
Here is my entire eye look completed with mascara and my favorite go-to foundation!
Next, I added the Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow Liquid Highlighter in the color “Exposed" and for the record, I only use powder highlighters because I have very oily skin, and every liquid highlighter I have ever used only looked ashy or turned into a complete oily mess on my skin. However, I will give this my best shot!
Here is how it looked after adding it to the highs of my cheekbones, tip of my nose, and my Cupid's bow. Just as I suspected guys, liquid highlighters are not for me which is really sad because this color is simply gorgeous. It went on beautiful but turned into an oily mess on my face not even ten minutes later! I would love to know how these beautiful highlighters looked on you guys!!!!
Now let's finish this makeup look with the liquid lip I got from, Adesse Hi Definition Liquid Lipstick. It's an everyday nude color. I could not find the name of this color on the product itself or the box, so I looked it up and I believe it called “Haute Cocoa”. I usually add a nice nude lip liner (plum from MAC cosmetics) with these light nude tones because it looks better on my skin tone, so I will close this tutorial with a before and after photo and let you guys decide.
Before
