BoxyCharm April 2018 SPOILERS – Full Product List

This is my first box and I’m actually quite happy with it. I got Variant #1:

Adesse liquid lipstick in that nude color – I don’t have many nudes and this one isn’t too warm and looks defined without being too dark or light

You Had Me At Hello Palette – Perfect Go To for me use, with a good mix of matte and shimmer in my preferred day-to-day color range. I recently frankened all my old Box of Shadows into one mega palette with so many choices, so this is a nice quick grab alternative.

Tartiest Glo in Sparkler – Been wanting a liquid highlighter to mix in for summer and the rose gold will be perfect with a tan

BrowGal in Brown 02 – Fav product of the box. I have medium brown hair and hate leaving the house without something to define my brows and this gives a great no-effort look for when I’m running out to do something and don’t want a full face.

Vacuum Cleaner – Been wanting to try this for years, as blackheads are my only really annoying skin concern. Doesn’t smell great, but that fades quick and leaves my skin looking clearer. My skin was pinker where the mask was, but that also faded quickly.

I got the semi precious palette and I already have that one. Does anyone want to swap? I would really appreciate it.

I’m new to subscription beauty boxes but signed up like crazy! But I’m wondering, how do you guys know which variant you received? I’ve seen, for instance, “Variant 2” on Glossybox but I didn’t see a similar marker on this month’s (my third!) Boxycharm.

The BrowGal – this was the only one I didn’t like, my hair is extremely dark but I got “Brown 02” which is too light for me.
But overall, I was happy with my new items and I’m definitely keeping my subscription.

I was mostly happy with mine. I got the Element of Surprise palette, brushes, mask, mac lipstick in dionysus (very dark shade) and the brow gel was my disappointment (got light when i have very dark brown hair! If anyone wants to trade me your dark brow gel for my light one, please let me know!

New items in the charm shop

I got the semi precious palette if anyone is interested in swapping. Lol, it was the only one I didn’t want as I already have so many similar shades.

Meh….of course I got everything I DIDN’T want out of the “luck of the draw” and I wanted the Mac lip, but low and behold the “adesse” wasn’t in my box like it said.

I’m starting to think they send the good boxes to people promoting the boxes that have a following. And they are getting too big too quick and just throwing stuff in so many different boxes.

I really wanted the Mac lipstick…..did anybody get a Mac red they would be willing to trade for the tarte highliter?!

If So, I can throw it on the swap site here and we can trade for it

Hey all! I got my box yesterday (variation 4) and am interested in trading the MLP palette for any of the others, the brown hair Browgal for the darkest color (I have black hair) and the Tarte highlighter in Stunner for a MAC lip color.

Anyone have golden state of mind and want to trade for mlp? Brand new hasn’t been swatched. MLP is just not my eyeshadow colors.

I think for the price of almost any of these subscription boxes, you understand you get what you get. Like we tell our kids, you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit. Even if you were to buy drugstore or Walmart makeup, you’re not going to get as many products to try – which is really the purpose of these boxes – for $21 as you do with Boxy Charm, unless you just go straight for the Wet’n’Wild. I read the comments to see what people got, but every subscription box, it’s the same thing – 75% of the people commenting are unhappy with what they received. Unsubscribe if you guys don’t like them. Otherwise, just be happy and excited when you get these, and pass along the items you can’t use or don’t like.

Received my box today with the EOS palette (and no highlighter, which I am bummed about).

I haven’t seen anyone mention it, but is anyone concerned that the EOS palette has 3 colors that are “Not intended for use in the immediate eye area” due to their use of Red 7 Lake dye, which is not FDA approved for eye makeup?

Got my box today. It was .9 and 7x5x2. I received Golden State of Mind, Tartiest in Sparkler, the Adesse, Dr. Brandt, and Brow Gel #2. This was my second box, I received March box but didn’t actually pay until April 2nd, they told me to just keep it. (Shrugs). I totally loved the April box, looking forward to more.

Disappointed in the highlighter. I’m not 22. I can’t use it. LOL I would prefer a different palette because this one is really neutral but I’m excited to try Colourpop shadows.

April Boxy 😐 this is my first boxy I wasn’t happy with to start I got the 1 pallet I did not want MLP the Brow gal was light for fair skin light hair I’m black with dark hair the Tarte Glow thing in summer not appealing on my Carmel skin an off brand lippie I threw away and the mask smelled like a Perm 🤢 I guess u win some lose some April Boxy was depressing for me

I got my box today – variation 7 and I like it. I’m not putting any stock in box dimensions from now on. Tracking said 6x6x6 and it is 8x5x2 as usual. Does anyone else think the Adesse wand is a little floppy? I like the shade but I’m afraid to press too hard when applying because it feels like it’s going to snap off.

I got variation 2:

Colourpop golden state of mind (not into shimmers}

Browgel (my favorite item!)

Adesse liquid lip ( heavy, and uncomfortable on lips)

Tarteist pro glow in sparkler ( too dark on me, would have preffered lipstick)

I got the worst variation (for me) The only item I would use is the browgel, because the doctor brandt mask is not made for my extremely dry skin

I got variant 6;
– Mac liptstick (shade: Doe). Don’t wear lipstick
– The Browgal in brown.
– Jelly Pong (it’s sealed by the way)
– Element of Surprise (palette)

All in all it’s fine.

Was anyone else missing the clear plastic protector in their palette? It makes me feel like this was a returned item…

My question is this: if boxy said every charmer would receive either the Tarte liquid highlighter, or a Mac lipstick and charmers are getting neither but instead another brand of highlighter, what is boxy going to do for those customers? If they are not keeping up to their claims?

This month was a total miss for me. I received the only cp palette I already own–EOS–the tarte in stunner, and a light, almost Auburn brow product. If anyone has the MLP palette and wants to trade, please comment!! Or if you have the MAC, but not in the color Doe.
