Bookroo is a subscription service that sends books for children every month. They have a board book plan (for ages 0-2.5), a picture book plan (for ages 2.5-6) and a chapter book plan (for ages 7-10). They offer the option to alternate between picture and board books each month which is great if you have children in different age groups like I do.
Bookroo sends the books individually wrapped each month.

Bookroo April 2018 Review
Bookroo always includes an insert that gives a brief description of each book and also includes a link for some extension activities. This month they had some cute ideas such as making your own jam or writing a story using your own big ideas. These are always fun ways to explore the stories a bit further.
Bear Likes Jam by Ciara Gavin- Retail Value $16.99
This story is about a bear who just loves jam. He’s an adorable guy who lives with a group of ducks and Mama Duck decides that bear needs more in his diet than just jam so she takes the jam away until he eats his vegetables. Bear is disappointed and unwilling to try new foods until he gets a little help from his duckling friends. This story features some cute characters and has a good storyline about trying new things. It keeps it very simple which is great for little ones to follow along with. I even got some new ideas for how to get my stubborn kids to eat their vegetables!
The Big Ideas of Buster Bickles by Dave Wasson - Retail Value $17.99
This story is so different from the other, which I appreciated. Whereas Bear was simple and mellow, this book was bright, colorful and full of excitement. Buster Bickles is a boy who has a lot of wacky ideas that aren’t always appreciated so he goes to visit his uncle and together the two of them experience some wild adventures based on those ideas. This was a unique book full of all the things my kids love including ice cream and dinosaur robots. Both kids enjoyed this one - there was so much going on in these illustrations that it easily held their interest. Definitely a fun read!
Verdict: This was another fun Bookroo box for my kiddos and me! I love that the books come individually wrapped in fun paper and have an elastic ribbon to hold them together making the book opening experience feel extra special. Plus, we discovered some new books that we have never heard of before, which I always consider a win. The retail value of the books was $34.98 which is a great value for a $24.95 box ($19.95 a month + $5 shipping).
