Art Snacks March 2018 Review

This is the information card that came in the package. It lists each item in the box with suggestions on how to use them. My husband is an artist, and he was completely excited to play with all these new toys! A piece of candy was also included.

Art Snacks Stickers Bonus Item

Art Snacks is turning five this month, so they sent us these fun birthday themed stickers to celebrate!  Nice!

Lyra Color Giants, x2 - List Price $1.94 each (Buy a set of 12 here for $19.79)

These are bigger colored pencils from what my husband normally uses, so he said they took a little getting used to. However, he did say that they are great for coloring larger areas.

Copic Ciao Double Ended Marker - List Price $5.49 (Buy a set of 12 here for $43.08)

My husband loved this marker and wishes he had it in many colors! He loved the color, first of all, and he also really appreciated the two ends, as they are different widths. It's very versatile because you can use the chisel point for precision coloring and the brush tip for broader strokes.

Copic Multiliner - List Price $3.99 (Buy a set of 4 here for $14.99)

All my husband said about this marker was that it is extremely useful and he loves it! He said it has a very fine tip and is great for making super fine lines.

ArtSnacks Pencil Case - Retail Value $13.25

This pencil case was really well timed, we needed a new one! It also has double compartments with two zippers, so it is great for holding two different categories of pencils.

art snacks march 2018 sketch

Art Snacks is not a project box like we sometimes review with instructions and everything, but my husband always likes to do a sample drawing to show what can be done with the materials provided. His sketch this month is super cute! I love the characters he comes up with, like this super confident knight. This also qualifies as an #artsnackschallenge, which is Art Snacks' monthly challenge to create something using only the materials provided plus paper.

Verdict: Art Snacks is always so much fun! We get to try new fine arts drawing supplies and tools, and I really think my husband enjoys the Art Snacks Challenge! This month's value comes to about $27, which beats the cost of the box by about $3. That's actually great for a fine arts box, so I'm really happy!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the April box.

I never understand the “Snacks” in this box name. One piece of candy is not a snack. I would have liked to have seen the markers opened and examples of the widths for each. It also would have been nice to see the interior of the pencil case.
