Have a question about the Allure box. I am going to get my first one this mo. Do they have a personal profile for certain things, such as skin color, hair issues…? Is it just a chance on colors of what you get in the box, or am I missing something? TY.

cmc

no they don’t you get sent a box no profile

I just received my April box today. I got box number 2 except it has a collapsible WetBrush instead of the mini Makeup Eraser. I was really looking forward to trying the Makeup Eraser so I’m kind of disappointed.

After receiving the November 2016 box last month because I’m signed up through Amazon and Allure doesn’t have our emails to request our foundation shade preference, receiving something other than what was advertised yet again is extremely disappointing.

I’m hopeful for the upcoming months though. I think the reusable bags are a great idea as long as they have zippers unlike the Sephora Play bags. I find that small makeup bags are really nice for storing cords, earbuds, bobby pins, etc while traveling.

Don’t be disappointed. I received the ‘mini’ Makeup Eraser and it is literally a small, unfinished scrap of cloth.

Lucky.

I haven’t even seen the order date update from last month.

I have Amazon Prime and I was poking at their other beauty boxes, so I got an email telling me they have the Allure box.

Not super excited about May or June but that’s just personal preferences not products or brands. As far as the contents and brands, they’re killing it for June! My niece is SO EXCITED!!! Kat Von D!!! Lol! So worth it sometimes even if I’m not going to use products.

I really do not want more makeup bags and the one on this spoiler looks quite cheap…

Cindy, no. In my many years of experience with the top beauty boxes ( Allure, Glossybox, BeautyFix, BoxyCharm, Birchbox, etc.) UNLESS the box advertises as a vegan box, you are going to get non- vegan but lovely cosmetics and skin care.

IF you want Vegan and only Vegan, Petit Vour is probably the only one I’ve subscribed to which was totally Vegan. I think it still is, you can read the reviews here. Also, there is probably a Vegan list of boxes ( if there are more than one).

Cindy

Thank you for taking the time to respond and for the info.

Cindy

Are most of these boxes more or less vegan friendly? These ones here I would for the most part use.

I really hope I get box 2 or 3!! I’d be so disappointed with box #1

Grace J

I am really hoping for box 2

I took their survey about the box, and I said more than once that the new box needs to be as sturdy as the current one. I am okay with a bag but don’t need one. I think they should do something cute with a bag if they go that route.

I also would love to know how we tell what box variation we’d get!

Tempted to sign up for the June box… I love Kat von D.

Is there a way to figure out which box a person is getting?

Bruinkitty

April was not for me.
May looks back on track.
Definitely have to be subbed by June to get July to get the Sunday Riley 😘

Don’t really care for the box. Maybe they’re doing it for the Instagram pictures?

Don’t really need a reusable bag just because I would rather cut down on waste.

I love beauty and my beauty items, but get sad when there is so much plastic and other extra materials.

I know appearance and presentation is important, but at some point we have to start moving to a more sustainable model. Sorry for the rant.

But yay to Allure because these boxes look much better ❤

Allure still didn’t charge me, should I worry? 🙁

Danielle

No. I always get charged late in the month, maybe the 19th or so. I think they ship in batches.

I hope they don’t change boxes. They’ll probably be saving money because the new box’s cardboard looks flimsier, and plastic is cheap. A couple of clear bags for storage might be useful, but after a couple of months, I would have as many as I could possibly use, then they would just end up in the trash every month. Cardboard bio-degrades but the plastic won’t. That’s the main reason I don’t like the new box design.

Pink5

I like the current box design because the boxes are sturdy and a good size for reuse.

As for bags, I get Ipsy, so I have a batch of littlish bags cluttering things up.

Whereas the items look very good for June, I am terribly conflicted as I find Kat Von D to be a disgusting icon and if I had kids, I would not allow them to purchase anything from her line. I don’t understand how so many can overlook her many insulting and hateful actions.

And this is the good month for Allure? Egads….Allure, how could you!

Not a fan of any self tanner, self bronzing products. 🙁

Me neither I am old and pale and plan on staying that way…

Same here!

Okay, the lip powder could be fun.

Not excited about their proposed box redesign. I really do not need another monthly bag thing (something I didb’t like about Ipsy or Play!) and the foldy box looks cheap.

June looks rad! Kat Von D is my fave liquid liner!

IV

Ohh excited for June and July but I hope there aren’t variation.

magoosmom

Oookay. I’m not sure about a lip powder, but that color might actually work on me. Willing to give it a try!

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Oooh I really liked the last CLE item. I’m excited about trying the lip color!

Reply ButtonReply

Bianca

Is it another full size Sunday Riley in July or is it a sample?

Reply ButtonReply

Jill

I’m guessing(hoping) it might be the half size, which is a whopping 55 dollars anyways lol

Sephora had a Favorites box (not their monthly sub) that included the S. R. Luna sleep oil and it was a deluxe size (maybe about 1/4 of a bottle) so I’m thinking it might be similar for the July box. However, that small bottle was still enough to use nightly for about 2-3 weeks. I’m for sure getting 2 July boxes because Luna is Holy Grail status for me. Two boxes are $30 and still cheaper than buying a half bottle (at $55 RV) plus still getting another 8 items. I did that in January to get two of the CEO Brightening creams.
