Yummy Bazaar World Sampler March 2018 Review
This month, I got a coupon code for $10 off my next order from the Yummy Bazaar shop + free shipping.
Every World Sampler Box also comes with this “Hello, World!” info sheet briefly describing the contents and where they hail from. This month includes treats from Italy, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Turkey!
On the other half, they’ve listed their social media addresses.
Inside, you’ll find descriptions of all the snacks included in the box, plus their country of origin and ingredients (if the ingredients on the package are not already in English.) This is super helpful for anyone who needs to know what goes into their food, and definitely a best practice for international food boxes
Basak Grilled Chicken Seasoning Mangal Tavuk Harci, 2.1 oz. – Retail Value $3.95
The description of this seasoning sound AMAZING! It includes curry, sweet and hot peppers, and mint (among others). Chicken is probably the number one protein I cook at home, so this will go to good use in my house. You just need to coat the chicken in this with some olive oil and water before cooking to make it more delicious.
Green Tea Kit Kat, 1 mini – Buy a bag of 12 of $6.45
I am VERY well versed in Japanese Kit Kats at this point in my subscription box reviewing career. Green Tea certainly seems like the most popular of the 200+ unique flavors offered in Japan, and this one tastes just like one of the yummy lattes I tend to get. It’s sad that I only received one mini though- I would have liked to get a few of them to share.
Chaokoh Original Roasted Coconut Chips, 1.4 oz. – Retail Value $2.95
I’m a huge fan of coconut, and dried shavings like these make a really great snack instead of reaching for a candy bar. I will say that these kind of have a bit of a strange aftertaste to them, compared to other coconut chips I’ve had, but it may just be the added sugar and salt. They are all natural and have no preservatives, colors, or flavors added. This full-size bag should last me at least a few days of snacking.
Kasugai Melon Gummy Candy, 2 pieces – Buy a full-size bag for $1.95
I used to buy these all the time when I was in high school and my early 20s from the local Asian market in my hometown. They come in all sorts of different fruity flavors and have to be some of the best gummies ever! The melon flavor I received are particularly juicy and taste so much like honeydew melon!
Dongwon Seasoned Seaweed Sheets, 1 pack – Buy a pack of 12 for $6.99
Another excellent snack that can replace something unhealthy. Seaweed sheets are a light and crispy way to tackle any salty cravings you may be having. These are especially good wrapped around rice but can be eaten alone like you would eat chips. These seem a bit more oily than other brands I’ve had, so I had to keep a napkin handy.
Gran Pavesi Rosemary Crackers, 1 pack – Buy a pack of 8 for $2.25
Mmm- I love rosemary anything, so these crackers are going to get gobbled up quickly. Although super tasty alone, these would be even better with some cheese on top for a perfect charcuterie tray ingredient. A little buttery, and not too salty, these are like saltines w a touch of delicious rosemary.
Verdict: Yummy Bazaar World Sampler Box sent me two full-size items and four sample sizes to give me six different experiences from around the world. This is an awesome way to discover snacks and foods from places I’ll probably never get to visit. There was nothing in this box that I didn’t like, and I’m super excited to try out the chicken seasoning in the near future.
