Tribe Beauty Box is a bi-monthly subscription box that sends you 4-5 full or deluxe size products in each box: 1 face product, 1 tool, 1 eye product, 1 lip product and/or 1 skin prep product. This box caters to makeup artists or anyone who wants to build their makeup collection.

I had the box in my cart today at 11:55 am and was going to finish checking out but I decided against it. FOMO made it hard to stop clicking, but when I saw the cost was $34.99 US funds plus 13% Ontario tax (I live in Ontario) then $7 shipping = $46 US dollars I stopped myself. That would be at least $60 Canadian dollars for the box. 🙁 We have put so much money into kitchen renovations lately and I get other boxes so I decided to let common sense prevail.
I will keep stalking the box and maybe I will consider trying to get the June one. They have great reviews and the person running the box seems to have amazing customer service and wonderful communication. I hope they can keep it up. 🙂

I just signed up for this box today, so I am new to this whole process. Can the boxes be personalized in any way (like by complexion, etc.)? I was hoping there might be a survey or something during the check out process to give my preferences, but I didn’t see anything. (I am really hoping I don’t get that bright purple lipstick!)

They’ve only sent a customized item once before and they send out an email to pick your skin tone . I’m also worried about this spoiler and how many shades there are, too many chances of getting a terrible shade that may not work for your skin tone: Would hate to get the bright pink, purple or brown lip color :/ Also if you just now signed up you are probably get the latex lippie that was added for this last restock. That is what they did last time (they added an extra item for the newer subscribers)

Thank you so much for the additional information — I really appreciate it. I debated for months about signing up for a beauty subscription box. I have Sephora flash 2-day shipping, so I’ve found that it’s a better deal for me to buy a full-size or value set of items I actually want and then select 3 free samples rather than to risk a monthly subscription for items I potentially have no use for.

I finally decided to pull the trigger and get Tribe after seeing the quality of their products and good reviews on customer service. We’ll see how this goes, but hopefully ultra bright lipstick is rare for Tribe. Ipsy is already providing that sort of thing in their boxes for a lower price as far as I can tell.
