  1. Most good holo nail polishes are a bit more expensive than normal polishes. They are usually hand-crafted in relatively small batches. They range from about $8 to $18, and you almost always have to pay about $5 in shipping per bottle.

Taking these factors into account, $11 per bottle is fine. I admit it is not a giant discount, but it is something. I have taken to using holographic powder to create my own holo looks (using a no-wipe gel as a base), as I get a better effect with this system.

  2. The polishes are always so pretty, and I’d love to get them, but something about the website makes me hesitate. Maybe how basic it is? Or maybe it’s the fact that I can’t create an account to see a record of my order. Whatever it is, I haven’t yet pulled the trigger, but would love to.

    • Hi Luna!
Holo Hookup is unique in that you buy the subscription each month- you’re not automatically charged. Each month you buy it (during their designated “pre sale” time), you get an order number and email confirmation. While this website is basic, the websites of the brands included are a lot more detailed. Sorry if this is redundant information, but I was hoping to reassure you. I love getting this box every month— everything is so unique.

      • Hey there! I understand it’s a one time purchase, but I guess the lack of not being able to create an account, like on a typical site (I’m thinking of KL Polish, for example) that keeps track of my orders, plus just how the site looks makes me hesitate. I’m being picky, I know. haha

  3. I just don’t see spending $44 for 4 nail polishes. Am I missing something?

    • You and I both must have missed something. I pay almost $10 for my Essie nail polish but I can choose the shades I want.

      • I’m with you guys. These polishes are all $10-$13. I get that I’d have to pay individual shipping, but if I end up hating one or two of the shades, it’s not a great deal anymore.
