The Rachel Zoe Box of Style from The Zoe Report is a subscription box from Rachel Zoe. Each box includes a hero item which is revealed before boxes ship, and other fashionable items and accessories, plus a few beauty products and styling tools, too. I am a huge fan and love her taste, so this is one of my favorite style subscription boxes!

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Box of Style by The Zoe Report

The Cost: $99.99

DEAL – Use coupon code MSA20 to save $20!

The Products: Every season Rachel and her team will hand-curate more than $400 of our favorite fashion, beauty and lifestyle items.

Ships to: US, Canada, the UK, and Australia

Check out all of my Box of Style reviews!

The box comes with an info booklet with Rachel’s styling tips, and a letter from her introducing the box.

And this booklet also includes coupon codes for some of the brands featured in the box:

Now, on to the items!

Rachel Zoe Collection Palm Print Duster – Retail Value $150

This is an exclusive design just for Box of Style subscribers! (It is the same print in Rachel’s Spring 2018 Ready to Wear Collection.)

You can wear it open, or tie the top closed with the tasseled cords. Here’s the back:

And here it is open:

The fabric is 100% polyester, and it is dry clean only. (This isn’t your typical cotton, sheer, beach cover-up. I knew it wasn’t from the spoiler pictures, but I was still a little surprised when I felt the fabric.)

I absolutely love the palm print – this feels like such a glamorous poolside cover-up to me.

Rachel also recommends wearing it with a slip dress, cinching it with a belt, or pairing it with denim and a tee. (Box of Style shows lots of styling options on their Instagram account.)

I decided to try out the jeans and a tee recommendation:

I wasn’t sure if I’d end up wearing this other ways besides a swimsuit coverup or a robe, but now I’m liking it for a casual vacation style. What do you think?

And I’m wearing the next item in this picture as well:

Bonnie Clyde The Hill Sunglasses – Retail Value $64

These are my new favorite sunglasses! The clear pink frame is so cute and fresh, and the lens color is a perfect contrast:

And they are comfortable to wear, too! (No nose pads to get stuck in your hair when you wear these on your head, either!)

Jen Atkin x Chloe + Isabel Headwrap & Choker – Retail Value $48

This is a multi-use item that can work as a choker, a headband, a bracelet, and a belt!

It measures approximately 60 inches long, and it’s made from a burgundy faux suede with clear crystals and antique gold chain:

Here it is as a necklace:

And, my favorite, as a wrap bracelet:

(More ways to style it here!)

Lili Claspe Rope the Moon Lariat – Retail Value $115

(Subscribers could pick between gold or silver for this item.)

This necklace is 14K gold plated brass with cubic zirconia crystals. I’m very impressed with the quality of the piece, and I love delicate jewelry with just a bit of sparkle, so this is pretty much my dream necklace!

Here it is on:

I’m wearing it at the shortest setting.

KOPARI Coconut Rose Toner – Retail Value $24

Kopari is a great ingredient-conscious beauty brand and every product starts with 100% organic coconut oil. This Coconut Rose Water is light and refreshing and can be used throughout the day to hydrate your skin. (Hold it at arm’s length to make sure the mist is fine enough to keep your makeup pristine.)

Kopari Coconut Lip Love – Retail Value $20

This Lip Love is fantastic! It has a subtle coconut flavor, the formula is super moisturizing, and your lips get a slight gloss without any stickiness.

And with warm weather coming soon (I hope) it’s always good to have a lip product in my purse that can’t melt!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $413. That’s fab for $99.99! The theme this season is the “California Edition,” and I think that they did a great job on the curation. The box is a hit for me, too. The jewelry is perfect, I would pay full price for the sunglasses, and the all-natural Kopari beauty products are a treat! The duster is the one item that is pushing me a bit out of my fashion comfort zone, but that’s part of the appeal of this box for me. I want a box that feels like authentic Rachel Zoe – not something that is playing it safe.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box was still available!

CouponUse coupon code MSA20 to save $20!

Value Breakdown: At $99.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Duster: $36.31
  • Sunglasses: $15.49
  • Necklace: $27.84
  • Wrap: $11.62
  • Coconut Toner: $5.81
  • Lip Love: $2.91

What do you think of the Spring Box of Style? How are you planning on styling the duster and the faux suede wrap?

  1. To whoever I purchased from on EBay-Thank you! This duster feeds my unique style and I can not wait to rock it. Lol. I am almost giddy with delight!!!

  2. I cancelled in December after customer service issues with the winter box. I was very surprised when my credit card was charged last month. I contacted customer service again – before the deadline to cancel spring. I received two auto reply’s about how busy they were but would get to me as soon as possible. Now I have a second notice of cancellation accepted from RZBOS however my account still shows active and box has been shipped.

I see RZBOS is monitoring this page – maybe I can get some assistance through this channel. I received yet another auto generated email yesterday telling me that they are sorry it’s taking so long to reply to my email due to the holiday season. Seriously??? I can’t get help from customer service and am now stuck with a box I didn’t want. Credit card company is getting a copy of both cancellation receipts tomorrow. Shame on you RZBOS..

    • Hi there,

I am so sorry to hear of your experience and frustration you’ve had thus far! I understand the stress of the situation and hope to get it resolved for you as soon as possible. We greatly appreciate your patience. If you can please respond with your name and/or e-mail, I would be happy to forward to our Member Services team.

      Thank you,
      Team Zoe

    • Their customer service is the worst! They lost me as a customer over it.

  3. The duster pattern is so on trend for Spring. It is everywhere in clothing lines! RZBOS nailed it. I’m an XL (size 16) top. It fits my arms and shoulders fine but is easily 3.5 inches from closing in front. That said, it still looks terrific worn open. I would never pick this out for myself. At 53, it feels to YOUNG for me. That said, i own it now so it’s going over my faded cutoffs and white tank with my wedge slides this summer!!!

    • I agree! I think it is a beautiful print. Much prettier than the kimono from last summer’s box. I like the Kimono but I am LOVING this! The only thing I will not wear is the braided hair tie. It is pretty but not my style. But the rest of the box is AWESOME! I love anything Kopari makes!

    • Hi Karen,

We love hearing your feedback! Rachel loves the option of wearing the duster open, and we know you’ll look great rocking it! Tag us on @boxofstyle for a chance to be featured. 🙂

      Enjoy your Monday!

      Sincerely,
      Team Zoe

      • Is there anywhere I can get the measurements for this Duster please?

        • Hi Nicki!

Absolutely! Please see below for duster measurements:

          Length: 48”

          Chest: 41”

          Waist: 42”

          Hip: 44”

Sleeve length from shoulder: 14 ¾”

          Sleeve opening: 13 ½”

We hope to see you rock your Spring glam soon!

          Sincerely,
          Team Zoe

    • When I tried on the robe I just loved it, and I wasn’t expecting to! I am 5 ft tall 130 lbs. It fits perfectly with the ties tied in a bow and hangs straight down in front. My first thought was – “this will never fit a larger woman”. After seeing it worn open, I take that back. If you are larger it will not have the robe effect, but providing it fits your arms, would be quite nice. I wear it around the house with something underneath, pjs or a shift, and love the print and quality of the fabric. Could wear it to pool in summer also. I just read that the print is featured in Rachel’s regular collection!

The hair wrap is very inventive and looks sharp as a necklace or bracelet for me. The dainty silver necklace is on my neck right now and I love it. It is reminiscent of the gold longer chain from a few seasons ago. I am not wild over the sunglasses, so they will go into my “gift box”.

Here is an idea from the winter box that may help the gals who received it too late for Xmas parties. I use my white plastic purse as a small jewelry box on my bathroom etagere with white and ivory towels and accessories. Just throw the chain inside along with your stray jewelry!

  4. You know winter was a total miss for me, but I LOVE this box. I have a pool, so I am always looking for a coverup to throw on, and I love that this one is substantial. Kopari is always a win win. I wouldn’t wear the headband, but as a bracelet…genius. The necklace is pretty and love the fun color of the sunglasses. Totally restored my faith in The Box of Style. I will be using every single thing. I have worn the black printed kimono to death!! Thanks guys!

    • Hi there,

We are so thrilled to hear that! Thank for you taking the time to share your kind feedback. It’s appreciated more than you know! We can’t wait to see you rock your Spring box. Tag us on @boxofstyle for a chance to get featured. 🙂

      Have a wonderful week!
      Team Zoe

  5. I’m so baffled by people saying the duster looks old. I’m in my mid 20s and it seems very on trend to me. In my mind it’s like festival attire with high-waisted shorts, a crop top, and a large floppy hat. I wasn’t alive when Golden Girls was on the air, which seems to be the main reference people are making, but to me it’s a very youthful, fun, and bohemian look.

    • It is because some people’s mindset is stuck in the past and are not open to the new. It happens to some people as they get old.

I never watched Mrs. Roper (whoever she us) or Blanche what’s her name but evidently it means something from the past to some of these people. I never have watched much television. I prefer to read.

I love the duster and will hem it and wear it proudly and I don’t care what a bunch of snickering old ladies say about me. It is very on trend. Floral patterns were all over the runways for the Spring/Summer season.

    • Hi Molly,

That was one of our favorite looks we had in mind when creating the duster! Rachel loves the versatility, and so happy to hear you’re excited to wear it. Tag us on Instagram for a chance to be featured! @boxofstyle.

      Thank you!
      Team Zoe

    • I grew up watching The Golden Girls (Blanche was all the things and the original Samantha) and Three’s Company (Mrs. Roper is among my style beacons – so much swoon!). Personally I think a lot of cool/funky/interesting clothing is inspired by the way the “senior set” dress (see advanced.style for reference of what I’m getting at). I think as we get older, we are less willing to care what others think and more willing to let our personalities shine. So branching out fashion-wise is natural and it has a trickle down effect, where it starts to influence younger people (“retro” is a fashion notion that remains consistent across generations). I can understand why some think the duster looks “old” and is reminiscent of something out of Mrs. Roper’s closet. But to me, it’s a lot of fun. Just like Mrs. Roper.

  6. The shape of this duster reminds me of choir robes we had to wear for choir concerts in high school. In a Golden Girls print.

Cheers to everyone who can pull this off. I can just hear my family calling me Blanche DuBois…

    • Whoops. Devereaux. DuBois is Streetcar Named Desire. This is what happens ro me working nights, lol.

  7. I dont see “California style ” at all. I love the Golden Girls but I dont want to wear their curtains…yet. 😄

    • Oh great! Well I guess I won’t be buying this box. I’ve been so undecided and I was just going to go for it now. But then I read your review. I guess I’ll skip now. I can just see me wearing the duster out and someone yell,” Blanch”to me. No, thank you.

  8. This Company has the WORST customer service.
I am really disappointed the have my Spring box in hold because of my address but in my profile the address is complete. but first send me a tracking number for another person that lives in Virginia. Too bad I have to wait a year to be able to cancel my subscription.

    • Hi Yadira,

I am so sorry to hear of your experience, and understand your frustration. We had updated our shipping process, therefore our shipper flagged a few addresses for verification, which is why you received that initial email. We are hopeful for a streamlined shipping process for upcoming seasons, and appreciate your patience in this process.

      Sincerely,
      Team Zoe

      • Thank you for your response. But I would appreciate that the people who work in customer service know what they are doing and will not send information that does not belong to me. Because what it appears is that they do not know what they are doing.

P.S. the spring box is my second box and the first- select edition- the experience was exactly the same. My address was “incomplete”.

        • Hi Yadira,

Again, I’m so sorry for the trouble regarding the shipment. As mentioned, our warehouse has implemented a new address check system that holds shipments if the address provided cannot be matched to the USPS database.
I have been informed that the representative did indeed provide the wrong tracking url, and I’m very sorry for that confusion. It has also been relayed to me that your address has been confirmed with Member Services and your order has been released so you should receive your box shortly! Thank you again for your patience.

          Sincerely,
          Team Zoe

  9. Omg!!! I’m so glad I passed!! That duster is the most ugly thing I’ve seen yet!! The choker… that seriously could be dangerous. The necklace is ok… although if you sweat it will turn green. I think this is the worst RZB in history! No fomo here.. sorry but that duster is Hidious looking on!!

    • I am with you Kristin!

    • I agree…. gave everything away except the skin care items …. had a hard time finding anyone to take the duster…. definitely golden girls:-( my first box.. yuck
Still debating on wether to cancel or not .

  10. I forgot to cancel my membership in time and I just got a shipping notice I am to receive the box. Can anybody tell me if the duster can be hemmed by a professional service?

I am five feet tall and obviously can’t wear it since it is so long. It is beautiful and I do like it but I can’t wear it as is. I am going to the beach on vacation and would wear this over a swimsuit, with a black dress or around the house.

I have no use for the hair band and my wrists are tiny. I am just a small person. Not skinny but small.

What is the material composition and do you think I can hem it? I would appreciate any help.

  11. I just got my box today and I’m obsessed with everything! Fun, seasonal pieces that I wouldn’t necessarily have picked out on my own but will look fab mixed in with my boring basics. This box is such a great value for the money!

    • Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback! We are thrilled to know you love your Spring box, and know Rachel will be happy to hear our Members are enjoying styling the duster into their current wardrobe. 🙂

Tag us on Instagram @boxofstyle, we’d love to see your look!

      Thank you,
      Team Zoe

    • Can you tell me if this can easily hemmed? I forgot to cancel my sub in time and have this box coming.

  12. I really don’t understand all the hate. The duster is os, which we all know isn’t really possible, but I’m a size 18, wore it today, and got several compliments on my outfit (by middle schoolers no less!). Yes, it’s a little more fitted on me than it is the models and Liz, and I do have to wear it open. But it still works and us hella cute! If it’s not your style, fine, but the sizing will work for most people, the fabric feels nice against your skin, and the print is trendy. So I feel like this is a great item to include in a box for a transitional season.

    • Hi there,

We are so thrilled to hear your feedback! Thanks for sharing, and we are so happy to know you love your Spring Box of Style! We’d love to see your #ootd rocking these Spring finds! Please tag us on @boxofstyle, so we can feature your look! 🙂

      Thank you!
      Team Zoe

    • Strange I’m size 16 and it is too small. It is way too open. But I have a huge rack so that’s likely the culprit. Otherwise I would have loved it.

    • I am on the bigger side, certainly not overweight but I do have a large chest area and some weight on my back. This duster does not fit size 18 and up. It was SUPER TIGHT ACROSS MY BACK and feels like I was trying to put on a junior’s Sized duster. Everything else is great, so order it if you like all the other stuff and gift the duster, but I’m telling you it is def NOT one size.

  13. I am very sad to say that I had to cancel. Not because of the box, I love this box. But its just too much $$$ right now. Dear Zoe Report, I will miss ya!! My last box arrived today and it was so awesome to get my add ons and my lovely box. UGH, I’m so sad!! 🙁

  14. I hope she steps it up in the Summer 2018 box. The duster is too old looking for me and I’m 60. Thanks to the duster and faux fur in the winter box I will be cancelling my subscription as soon as my year runs out unless the summer box is a lot better. Love the Kopari!

    • Hi Cindy,

We really appreciate your feedback! We hope the Summer 2018 box will change your mind, as it is one of our favorites. 🙂

      Enjoy your weekend!
      Team Zoe

  15. Can’t wait to get my hands on this box! Nothing will be going up for swap. Mrs. Roper is my spirit animal, and I’m married to a Stanley (he even does the open-mouthed, silent laugh).

    • Hi Eva,

We can’t wait for you to receive your Spring box! Tag us on @boxofstyle for a chance to be featured. 🙂

      Have a wonderful weekend!
      Team Zoe

  16. I like the duster (I did live in Southern CA for a long time before I moved east, so maybe that helps). The IG spoiler where they toned it down w darker colors looked really nice. To me it just looks like something to throw on over jeans and a tank if you’re going to a bbq or brunch. I have a conference in FL at the end of March and I’ll bring it to lounge around in off-duty. I think the headband is my favorite item.

However, a couple of things bother me about BOS. 1) they need to either mark down the price, stop putting it on sale so much, or do more for annual subscribers. I could save $100 a year by cutting out my annual box (it renews after summer so I can’t do this yet). They never seem to sell out, so there’s zero motivation to be loyal to them and even here you can see people waiting for the markdown. 2) This is almost identical to a summer box from two years ago that had a print beach coverup and similar necklace. They shouldn’t be repeating that much. Plus didn’t we have more sunglasses this past summer when we had another printed kimono?

I like most of the items (except sunglasses, which I need in prescription). The box clutches were great, the makeup, skin, and hair care have been great, the fur stole was awesome…there’s a lot that’s good about this box. Looking ahead, if I had an ideal summer box, it would include some sun protection (even if that’s repeated we ALL need it and go through bottles of it), some kind of hair tie or barrette to put hair back when it’s hot, lip stain or something else that won’t melt, a home item for summer entertaining, some kind of sheer solid-color wrap that you can dress up or down, and a travel bag (large or small, either way).

    • Yes! I would purchase your ideal summer box in a second.

    • Hi there,

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback! I will be passing it along to the appropriate contact so they can take this into consideration. We are always striving to provide an even better experience for our Members!

Thanks again, and have a wonderful weekend!
      Team Zoe

  17. Sooo glad I canceled before both Winter and Spring Boxes. This box is double triple confirmation that it was a good call. Didn’t even look good on the models in the BOS emails I get. The duster blech – material blech, christmas pattern blech and soo similar to other duster like things that have come in BOS boxes of past. Ditto with the sun and moon necklace — its that just like one received a year or so ago? Boring boring seen that done that,

  18. Oooh I LOVE the moon and star necklace!!!!!

    • You are lucky you got your necklace. Mine wasn’t in the box and I’ve emailed customer service twice with no response. Not happy!

  19. I really need to see how this looks on people of different sizes before I take it out of the plastic.

  20. If anyone likes the sunglasses but requires prescription lenses, Zenni has a similar pair for $7 (plus additional for lens tinting). I have them as regular glasses and sunglasses with a mirrored rose gold tint – love them both. The style number is 125619 (I’m not sure why it says they’re square – they’re pretty round in person…)

I do want this box, but only if it goes on a better sale and if I can dream up what to do with the duster to make it better. I’m tall and average build so the length is not an issue, but I work with all guys around my parents’ age, so they aren’t exactly fashion-forward. I felt like an idiot wearing the kimono to work with jeans and an olive tank/blouse. I see this going over about the same, and am not really into coverups….

  21. I am a Canadian resident who is an annual member. In the past, I have had to pay about $28 extra in duties and taxes. I just got an email to pay a $38ish fee this time. Is this what others are having to pay as well? I think these fees are absolutely ridiculous especially since I don’t incur any charges through the Fabfitfun box which ships out of the same area.

    • I am up to a $43 fee. The first box I didn’t have to pay but the last two I have had to. I will likely cancel after receiving the spring box.

      • I am Canadian too! It is absolutely crazy the duty fees that are associated with BOS! You can’t honestly put a five dollar valuation on a perfume sample that is 1.2mL and have that count towards duty calculation. Unfortunately, I trapped myself with a year’s subscription. Nothing but problems with this box….

  22. I don’t have any regret about canceling as the huge earrings and faux fur scarf were also a bit much for me from the last box. The clutch wasn’t useful. This duster just doesn’t work for my location. I think BOS is a lot of fun and I’ve gotten great products in the past, but something feels kind of a miss now. The hero items aren’t wowing me.

  23. I love the the palm print, but a duster is not practical for me at all. Maybe as a beach bag/tote instead.

  24. That duster is hideous.

  25. I think I would rather cut up the palm tree duster and use it to do some actual dusting around my house. Get more use out of it that way.

    • LOL🤣. That IS a good idea.

    • its actually gorgeous on,- i have work it with a short black dress as well as with dark skinny jeans, heels and belted an I received compliments. its very fashionable for the season- and will be in my beach bag this summer. dont knock it before trying !

    • You could cut strips and sew them to Terry towels on the edges. Do thick zigzag stitch on edges. It would go with palm candle set for bathroom or outdoor shower

  26. This is a fashion forward box; BOS brings LA styles to the masses, at a completely reasonable cost. Given that everyone’s body shape is different, I don’t mind paying a seamstress to cusomtiz pieces…I do it regularly for a pair of pants or jacket I buy in my exact size. I’ll likely hem this into a cardigan or wrap shirt and add a cool snap button.

Palm prints are everywhere for spring summer…even Adam Levine was sportin’ a palm shirt on The Voice this week 🙂 …I grew up in the 80s with similar wallpaper in our porch, but hey, it’s a trendy item…some are seasonal…some are timeless like jean jackets 😉

    • When I saw the first spoiler my first thought was Ugh! But, palm prints ARE showing up everywhere. At 5’ 1”, I would have it hemmed to a shorter beach/pool cover up & use some of the remaining fabric as a band on a beach hat.

    • I understand bringing LA style to the masses and that’s great. I guess I must be really “out of style” in Austin, Texas because if I saw someone wearing that duster at our SXSW music venues next week, I would think, “oh that’s interesting” and not necessarily in a good way, lol. I’m all for floral print shirts though. They are stylish! I understand what RZ is trying to do and I know everyone has different tastes but the past couple boxes have been disappointing for me. I loved RZ in 2017.

      • I completely agree with you! It seems like this push toward LA style makes a lot of assumptions and it simply doesn’t translate well. Obviously it’s alienated a lot of her customer base if the reviews are anything to go by. As a matter of (my)basic taste, I wouldn’t wear that duster in LA or anywhere else for that matter but I imagine it works for a lot of people. It doesn’t mean any of us are out of style or not fashion forward for not wearing it, and I’m sure many girls are going to rock the heck out of it.

      • I’m from California and this Duster is perfect for us. We see this all over. So I’m caving in. If it’s still available tomorrow I’m getting the box. Liz you look awesome is the duster. It’s elegant looking. I showed my hubby and he said buy it! 😃👍🏼

      • I’ll be turning mine into a sun dress and rocking it all of southby. I dig it. And if you live here then you know this print will be the least of the “imteresting” outfits you’ll see……

        • I love your attitude! I think style is so often about not looking at any thing ‘on the hangar’. She is supposed to get us out of our comfort zone. Make the piece your ur own! Btw, my son lives in Austin and will be at SX. So if you see a really handsome 29 year old with a beard, say ‘hi Jake’. Ha-ha that’s probably true of thousands of attendees…..

      • I’ll be turning mine into a sun dress and rocking it all of southby. I dig it. And if you live here then you know this print will be the least of the “interesting” outfits you’ll see……

    • Hi Tami,

We greatly appreciate your feedback! We are so happy to hear that. 🙂 Love your creativity, and hope to see some photos on Instagram! Feel free to tag us at @boxostyle.

Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!
      Team Zoe

  27. Eek. That duster will be super long on me. Also I think of Christmas when I see it. I know it’s a palm print, but I see a Christmas tree and holly.

    • I’m glad I do not subscribe to this box because now I can only see a Florida Christmas ensemble when I look at this duster. Oof.

    • Hi
If you are receiving the Rachel box of style please let me know I seen your comment on MS a and I would be interested in swapping it or buying it

  28. I’m glad i didn’t pay full price for this one, but I will jump on it if there’s a $30 coupon and/or try to swap for everything. Other than preserving the tassels, I don’t see any reason to dry clean polyester; hand wash or delicate cycle should be just fine. I don’t love the duster print, but I don’t hate it either. I can see myself styling it very similar to Liz; the key with dusters is simplicity. If you try to hard to make it an ‘outfit’, that’s when it starts to look matronly, IMO. I like the head wrap and the necklace a lot more than I thought I would from the initial spoilers.

    • Hi I seen your comment on the Rachel box of style on MSA I am interested in the duster please let me know I am interested in buying you or swapping for it thank you

  29. I’m actually happy with most of these items. The duster is really the only questionable item for me, but I’ll try it out. I may have to see if I can hem it though. Although, if I can’t, I like the idea of turning it into pillows. That’d be great! I will enjoy the Kopari items & the necklace for sure though. I think I’ll even get use out of the headwrap/bracelet/necklace item. The sunglasses may work with my face shape, but they may not.

  30. I’m reserving judgment on the duster. I don’t know if I’m bold enough to pull it off for an everyday look, but I definitely think I’ll use it as a pool/beach cover up. We shall see!

  31. I’m excited to get this box! May be the first one that I don’t try to swap anything in it. I am a little nervous about how the duster is going to look me since I’m short – but it would make a great pool/beach cover up. The sunglasses look great – not so big like last summer’s box (although they were cute.. just too big for my face unfortunately). The jewelry looks nice and can be layered; the skincare is a brand I’ve been wanting to try.

Honestly, my favorite part about her boxes have been the beauty items – I’m always the most excited to see what she’s going to include.

Anyone get their shipping notifications yet? Hoping mine ships soon!

  32. Sorry, but that robe (or whatever it is) is hideous.

    • Agree…and the “one size fits all” will not work here. This reminds me of the long, loose house dresses my late grandma once wore. Petite ladies will find it a total miss. And unless you are headed to the beach or pool (I wish!), I don’t see this being worn around town.

  33. I love this box and love her curation, but the duster is a total miss for me! I agree that all sizes need to be considered and I’m barely 4’11 and 95 pounds so I would be lucky if it I didn’t step on it, lol and look like I’m wearing my mom’s clothing, lmao. I find the Mrs. Roeper comment hilarious although I bet with the right outfit, shoes, and bathing suit, and body type this would look fabulous. I’m also just not a huge fan of toners. Give me a skin product with some meat in it! I don’t want a product whose main purpose is to bring the PH of your skin back to 4.5 (although I understand it has some hydrating properties). Otherwise, I love everything and by far, BOS is one if not my favorite box b/c of the curation!

  34. Only item I love is the necklace. It is so pretty. I hope they Bounce back with a better box for Summer.

  35. I’m not thrilled about the dry clean only (and I know the duster would be too long for me anyway) but the rest looks great. I’m just afraid after all the reports of people having trouble cancelling…

    • For the last 3 seasons I have signed up when the boxes went $30 off and then sent the cancellation request within a few days of receiving the box and I have never had any issues with cancellation. Just my personal experience.

      • I did that for fall. I signed up for this one at $25 off a few days ago and am looking forward to it! I have plenty of time to cancel before summer.

    • I’m one of the people who had trouble. It took them over a week to cancel my account with only one day to spare before I would have been billed. It was a giant hassle. Glad to see that that hasn’t happened to everyone though because I do usually like this box.

  36. I think the duster looks nicest as a dress for summer/get away as they posted on IG. I hope they spoil all boxes prior to release and include all these styling vids! I love that they did that this time around.

  37. Received my box and love everything except the duster. I’m not sure how BOS thought this duster was a one-size-fits-most item. It looks great on Liz who is tall and slim. However, unless she has it pinned in the back for the photo I can’t see how this would work on anyone over size 12. And it will be ankle length on petite girls. For sure a bold pick by RZ! But the sunnies, jewelry and Kopari are all great so the value is still there for me.

    • I got my box today and am well over a size 12 – I cannot tie the duster. I guess I can physically tie it but it looks silly.

So, I left it open and turns out I really do like it! I had it over a pants/tshirt combo. It’s different in person. Maybe someone else will think I look like a short, fat golden girls ripoff but I don’t care. 🙂 I am packing it for vacation next week! It feels amazing, and just fun and glamorous.

      • Girl, you sound fabulous! Love your attitude! I am sure you will look fabulous-have a great vacation!

    • Hi I seen your comment on the Rachel box of style I am interested in the duster please let me know I am interested in buying you or swapping for it thank you

  38. Are the sunglasses heavy like the Raen ones were? Those felt just too heavy for me to wear. I’m looking for a light summer pair and can’t tell from the photos.

    • Super comfy and a better fit for me than the Raen and not too heavy.

  39. I would 100% buy this if the duster was cotton. Polyester does not breathe and it shouldn’t be that much more expensive to produce something in cotton. Living in Southern California there’s no way I’m wearing a polyester robe outside 🙁

    • That was my thought – wrong fabric choice for the print! A duster meant to be for poolside wear or warm summer weather (not sweater-like) should be cotton or some form of other breathable fabric. The print/style is not my personal taste, either, but the fabric is a far bigger issue. Clothing needs to be functional – and a polyester duster on a hot day is sweating and discomfort waiting to happen. (At least it probably will have decent sun protection, though.)

    • I get where the duster is going as far as trendiness, but I’m having trouble imagining wearing palm trees where & when it’s chilly enough to want to be covered shoulder-to-calf in 100% polyester.

  40. Wow. Just not impressed at all. Rachel Zoe is a world renowned stylist, and this is what she came up with. Please.

    • It’s great! Wait until spring and summer, your going to see the same print on shoes and sandals. That’s a very hot print right now. I think I might have to grab one.

      • I don’t like something just because someone says it’s in.
I’m not into wearing Blanche’s curtains.

        • If you don’t like receiving an item that someone else says is “in,” why do you subscribe to a fashion lifestyle box? The whole point of the box is to be exposed to new trends. The palm print duster isn’t my favorite RZ item of all time, but I’m open to trying it (and if it doesn’t work for me, I still appreciate its inclusion in the box).

          • Polyester is a cheap choice. This fabric wasn’t chosen to make a fashionable piece. It was chosen to make the rzbos more profitable. It’s gross to me, and looks nothing like the gorgeous Gucci prints that are out, as a matter of fact, this hideous print isn’t even as nice as any Lilly Pulitzer print I’ve ever seen. Nice, fashionable pieces aren’t normally produced in polyester. I recently moved from Sarasota FL, and trust me, no one I know would be caught dead in this robe, and Florida is usually a place one chooses to wear fun, fashionable prints.

          • This is a forum where people can express their opinion and shouldn’t feel attacked. I’m really surprised at some people’s rush to defend a $10 cut of fabric. Vamaine and Laura don’t like it. Neither do I. You do. All’s well that ends well.

        • Same here, Laura. I think your opinion is valid. Trendy does not mean good to me. It means trendy to me. If it’s ugly, it’s ugly. I’ll happily wear a bold, TRENDY print if it’s attractive. But I don’t only find the pattern difficult on the eye, I think the cut is completely shapeless.

      • It’s not just the print, but the fabric. Polyester might provide some sun protection, but it is a horrible fabric to make any sort of hot weather garment of. Even a tiny bit of sweat is going to get trapped as moisture against your skin and get yicky very quick.

  41. I guess I’m in the minority. I really like this box and am debating on subscribing. Don’t they usually offer a Gilt deal after a bit? I guess I should wait.

    • Yes, some seasons they go on sale at Gilt, but at the very least they should eventually put out a $30 off coupon. I imagine you wouldn’t have any trouble swapping for everything in the box, too, as many subscribers are unhappy with this curation.

      • Is there anyway that you could email me the code for $30 off please I am in love with the duster and would like to get my hands on it I understand some people are not willing to trade that would be the ideal but my last resort would be to just go ahead and purchase the box but I would like the $30 off if I could thank you

    • They definitely have offered some boxes on Gilt…and at the very least, they normally end up offering $30 off the box.

    • I really like this box too! I think I’ll wait for the $30 off.

  42. This is actually one of my favorite box of style boxes! I love the duster, sunglasses, and necklace!

  43. No on the duster. Just. No.

(Brings out the sewing machine – the fabric might work as decorator pillows.)

Graduate students at Florida universities might pull off wearing this as a labcoat. Life gets drab in the lab, plus you have a responsibility to keep your labmates awake.

    • I actually like bold fabrics like that, but the style reminds me of a hospital gown. Just put it on backwards and tie it and there you go.

      • Too true. Blanch at the hospital.

  44. The only thing I found truly enticing in the spoilers was the head wrap, but I actually like it less in these pictures than I thought I would

    • Completely agree with you. I wasn’t willing to resub for one thing and now that I see it, I’m not impressed. I don’t understand why RZ would have the most expensive item in the box, the duster, be the item that’s unlikely to fit or be liked by most people. I’m 5 feet tall and that would look ridiculous on me.

  45. I usually love this sub, but I saw the spoilers and wasn’t into the duster or chocker at all. And I’m sure the toner and lip love are amazing. Is anyone else just about over the coconut scented stuff? It seems like the past three years have been coconut, coconut, coconut…

  46. That print is just WAY too bold. So glad I canceled!

    • Me too! I wouldn’t pay $40 for this box.

      • Yeah…I’d be hard pressed to pay $20! That’s really sad…

    • Go to a Rachel Zoe spring 2018 runway show and zoom in on the palm print – it’s a high quality fabric and print that makes the palms more subdued (sort of a desaturated blue tint) and classier.

On the polyester duster, though, it’s super saturated – like a cheap knock off. Giant palm leaves aren’t really my style either way, but the print is far better in her spring runway show than in the duster.

      • I like a lot in her Fall 2018 collection. Those models were beautiful in her fashions. But I didn’t care for her Spring show at all.

  47. My goodness that looks like something Mrs. Roper would wear. I’m really disappointed that I forgot to cancel.

    • Hahahahahaha! I snorted over that. I agree.

    • That’s what I thought!😂

    • Yes!!! It’s so matronly!

  48. I dunno, the thing looks like the height of frump to me. Yuck. Of course Liz looks great, but she’d look great in a burlap sack. I’ve been wavering over subbing to this box, but I think I’ve finally decided on NO WAY.

    • I’d take a burlap sack over that print…

      • LOL yeah no kidding!

  49. Your styling with the tee/jeans/duster looks terrific on you!
(The duster fabric was just a bit too loud for me personally, but I hope people who like it will get great use out of it.)

  50. Although Liz looks beautiful, I would look like Dorothy from the Golden Girls in that!

    • lol! Me, too!

    • You say that like it’s a BAD THING.

      Dorothy = amazing.

      • @Shawna – I always loved Sofia personally, but I like where your head’s at.

    • I was thinking Mrs. Roper on Threes Company.

      • lol!!

    • I am actually the Blanche so I am glad I canceled!

      • This fits in with my muumuu aesthetic nicely, so this duster is a WIN for me.
