The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. I've noticed a lot of these have multiple uses, and at the end of the day, you can really use each brush for whatever suits your needs best!

It's good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well. I am by no means a makeup guru, just a regular gal trying to do her best with these brushes!

This is the first month I've received four brushes (I normally get three)! Each one has a matte black rounded handle with rose gold metal accents (though they don't look as rosy in the photos) and two-toned bristles.

As the name states, this little short-bristled brush has at least a couple uses; shadow and concealer. I decided to use it with shadow this time as a dabbed some orange color tightly around the corner of my eye. The short dense brush gave me great control while the slight point allowed me to be more precise.

Next, I took the angled blush brush to add some color to the apples of my cheeks. The angle seemed a lot nicer to use than a normal puffy plush brush, and I felt like I had a little more control to bring the powder further up my cheekbones.

I always do a very minimal amount of contour shading right after my blush, which is why I am making this silly face (I'm also looking in a mirror for all of these). As I suck in my cheeks, I'm able to tell where I should add a darker shade to give the illusion of a slightly thinner face since mine is so round. The fluffy pointed contour brush allowed me to blend it in softly so it's not as severe as when I spread on the cream color I use.

Lastly, I used the short and dense but puffy blender brush to add more concealer under my eyes (which have pretty dark circles) and blend out. I think this brush was the most unique this month since I don't have anything quite like it in my personal collection.

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent me four new brushes for $19.99 that have a retail value of $32.00, so it's like I got the pointed contour brush for free! As someone who enjoys experimenting with makeup but is still a novice, I really enjoy seeing what comes in each month and discovering the best ways to use them. I would have loved to received another lip brush or an eyebrow brush, but hopefully, those are in my future!

Great review Marne! Thank you for including the pictures of the brushes “in action” – it’s helpful to see how these should be used by a real person. 🙂

I have been so excited waiting for these brushes. They are just what I need for my collection, bc I don’t have these ones and they are gorgeous. I traded my lippies for more brushes that I seriously don’t need bc I’m so sick of matte lip. I think I got August 2017. You can never have enough brushes!!
