Now, on to the items!

Julep Nail Polish in Yvonne - Retail Value $14

This shade is described as a "Moonbeam Matte Shimmer," and I'd say it reads as light pink in certain lighting.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Julep Nail Polish in Jesslyn - Retail Value $14

This is a honey gold matte shimmer.

Here are the shades on:

The matte shimmer polish is pretty amazing - you get the soft matte finish, but the shimmer still catches the light. And some matte-finish nail polishes can have a chalky finish, but this finish is smooth.

I found that these formulas took a little longer to dry than the standard Julep creme or shimmer polish, and I needed two coats for full coverage.

Julep Dream Big Nightly Renewal - Retail Value $36

This skincare stick is designed to be both your serum and moisturizer in one. I LOVE the application. You apply the stick directly to your face then massage in with fingers.

The formula is paraben and fragrance free, and it felt gentle on my skin. Since it's a balm, it heats up at contact with your skin, but the serum doesn't absorb quickly. (Not a problem for nighttime skincare.)

Lastly, Julep always includes a tiny extra like a piece of candy, nail stickers, etc. This month it's a sheet of shamrock nail decals - perfect for March!

Verdict: As usual, I'm happy with all my choices this month. The serum stick is a great skincare discovery for me (it seems perfect for travel, too), and I'm liking the matte shimmer polishes, too.

I highly recommend this subscription if you love nail polish and/or you like having control over your beauty box items! (And I also recommend doing the 3-month subscription at $19.99 a month for better savings!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You have to sign up by the 20th to get the next month's box. Then on the 24th, you'll be able to sign into your Julep Maven account and select the items you want for your box!

I’ve been a Julep subscriber since 2012 and, while I like the products, their sub/QC has really gone downhill. It’s the littlest thing but I didn’t receive the nail decals this month (was looking forward to them). Also, for about the last year, it seems like almost all of my past orders/boxes I’ve taken have had something wrong with them. Customer service takes care of it when I reach out but who wants to keep having to do that EVERY time you place an order? 🙁

mine was missing the decals too, I don’t care if it was missing candy but I was looking forward to these.

I almost bought the gold polish. . . it looks lovely. Another good polish color for st. patricks day.

I got both serum sticks for my box. So far I’ve only tried the daytime one, but I love it.

It’s so weird – the past two boxes I’ve received two eyeshadows in each (in one box the other item was a sheet mask, and in the other box it was an eye pencil) , and the box before those I received only two items. I don’t understand how I’m not getting better items. I don’t even wear eyeshadow. 🙁

For 24.99 or so in my opinion you should get more than two products that’s just crazy that’s why I’m canceling with boxycharm I get 5 full sized products for 21.00 and they are good quality this is just not worth it to me 🙁 my first maven box they allowed me to pick out 3 items and I had added a few more things too that actually felt worth it but my second month they gave me two items to choose from:-/

Its been awhile since Ive been subscribed, but I’m pretty sure you have the option to completely customize your box each month. You can either choose one of the pre-done ones or choose your items.

Amber

You know this is customizable. You log into your account between the 24th and 29th, and go to “edit my box”. They have curated boxes with the month’s new items based on your profile, but you can swap out the items in your box for pretty much anything. You get a total retail value so the number of items you get in your box will differ month to month

It is actually available from the 20th thru the 24th if you want to customize. Or you can skip altogether if nothing looks appealing. 🙂

Rosemary

I love Julep. I might have to cave next month and try this serum stick.

With the mixed box, is it always 2 nail polish and 1 makeup/skincare product or does it vary (if the latter is there a pattern or is it random)? I just subscribed for the free box but did all makeup/skincare because I didn’t want two polishes. It looks like I can change this – can you change box type each month?

Becky

Yes, it is completely customizable each month and you can skip each month and stay a member and continue to buy their specials, sweet steals, etc., there are nail polishes as low as $3 and $4. But be sure you go in before the 24th and let them know.
