Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the March 2018 Glam Bag!

Hi,
I have used more expensive products from the mall and higher brands, but I love this product more than any other products I have used so far. First of all, my face has been getting cleaner (less pimples) after the use of this product. And I love the cool feeling when I use this product. I wish they had this type of body wash for sale!

Wow! Everyone sounds so happy. I’m however officially done with ipsy. A relationship I was hoping would work but after I saw those 2 markers I was like the g/f that finally caught accepted what everyone else knew. 10 bucks I thought I would just keep holding on. Almost two years I’m going to either save 10 bucks a month or use it towards another sub. I thought the req was a item was a great idea. At least you could be happy with at least one item.

This is the worse bag,in a series of bad bags, I’ve ever gotten from Ipsy. I wanted to cancel them a couple of months ago because I feel their quality has gone down but 1 of my friends convinced me just to skip, especially since I can see spoilers and sneak peeks on this site. I skipped January, got February because I thought the bag design was cute but the bag was flimsy so I gave it away. I get this bag and the only thing that IS nice IS the bag! The contents suck!! How many more black eyeliners am I going to get no matter how many times I ask for a break. How many BROWN/BRONZE/COPPER eyeshadows? It’s the same stuff all the time, and the samples are getting smaller and smaller. I didn’t get a brow product for a whole year and now for the past 6 months, there is a brow product in my bag. I emailed them and told them that every since they removed the sample selection, their quality has diminished. The only reason I haven’t cancelled yet is because I LOVE BUTTERFLIES so I am more excited about the bag next month than the content within it. I understand that it is only 10 dollars but there are too many competitive companies out there to slack off. The Target box is $7 and it was more exciting this month than my ipsy bag! They emailed me back apologizing and asking if i want to opt of eye shadows and eyeliners but they either didn’t understand my POV or refused to acknowledge what I am saying. I love eyeshadows and eyeliners but I want some color variety! Ask these companies you are getting samples from to give more of a color variety as well. Anyway, my rant is done, I’m just really disappointed in them but after April I am cancelling and sticking with allure and boxycharm.

Got my bag today – another disappointment.

Hikari eyeshadow in Shine – a dark gold almost bronze (hate bronze) – would have preferred the green

Glossier Mint gloss – green tint in tube, probably clear going on, I generally like mint though

Mellow lipstick in Nude – fortunately, their version of nude is more like anyone else’s rose. Still hate nudes.

Veneffect pore minimizing cleanser – don’t know the brand, will probably give it a shot

AND two tiny markers, probably to color in the bag. Orange and green are odd choices though.

No tools. I love getting tools.

Really getting iffy about Ipsy.

Has anyone actually received their bag yet?

I have the steve Laura t lip oil if anyone would like to trade for a brush or sponge they did not want.

So, I signed up for 3 bags this month, I really wanted that Finding Ferdinand Lipstick in Rose Gold (or even the nude). I tweaked my profile on two of them only selecting lipstick in nude colors and not selecting anything else at all.

Huge fail. Will never do that again! Not one bag with it in there. I did get 3 fan brushes, that I did not want at all. 3 glossier products, 2 eyeko mascaras and 2 aurora lip glosses in Fairy. I hope I like the Mellow Cosmetics lipstick, guess it will have to do, as it’s the only one I received.

I am new here, so not signed up for swaps. 🙁 What am I going to do with 3 fan brushes?

(Not crazy about loose pigment – I have very sensitive eyes and am averse to making messes. This might be gifted. I am intrigued by the brand, though – is it actually pronounced “furless” … meaning “without fur”? Is this a reference to the brand being cruelty free?)

TARTE Sex Kitten Eyeliner
I cannot… repeat… cannot wear eyeliner that is not liquid. I will probably gift this to my niece, if she and her mom don’t also receive this in their Glam Bag. No matter how much a product advertises “smooth, creamy, no tugging, etc.” it still does not work for me – I still have to stretch and tug at my eyelids to get a smooth line. The closest I’ve found is the Hourglass 1.5mm mechanical gel liner. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, have you found anything non-liquid that actually follows through with these claims?

I’ve never tried any Kokie items before. The description calls the color “mauve” but it looks like more of a nudey-brown in the picture, imo.

I get two bags, and they always have about three of the same items, which is sometimes bad, sometimes wonderful. I just signed up for a third bag cause I want a higher chance to get wha5 I want next month lol. But here are my two this month:
Bag one
* hikari Cream pigment shadow – yay! I really wanted the furless, but that’s ok
* glossier balm.com – I got this in both bags, and seem to be in the minority of people who aren’t excited. Will trade if I get mint
* city color duo highlighter. – I really wanted the wonky lux highlighter, but this is ok. Got this in both bags though
* tarte sex kitten eyeliner – in both bags, yes yes yes!!
* mellow cosmetics lipstick – hoping for the nude, as I’m vampire pale and have half pink half blue hair in neon shades, but happy to get this

Bag two
* royal and land nickel fan brush – I can’t even tell you how happy I am with this. More pretty brushes please!

I’m very happy with this months bags! While there are a couple of things I would rather have had, I feel like they usually nail it as far as following my profiles. I’m curious to see how the third bag goes, as I made that profile very very different.

I’ve been on the swaps list for like six months… how do we get off? I really want to get the fur less pigment, tini eyeshadow, and winkylux highlighter. Anyone know how to get off the waitlist?

I’ve gotten my reveal yet. Shouldn’t I have it by now?

I am feeling very grateful to Ipsy’s customer service this month, frankly.

Last month’s Ipsy bag was the first one I’ve ever completely disliked. I gave the bag and everything in it the lowest reviews (I normally don’t, even when I’m not thrilled, because it feels so impolite).

I just looked at my spoilers and almost every single comment or complaint was responded to with something corresponding to my requests. I’ve had great experiences with Ipsy’s customer service when I’ve contacted them directly, but I honestly didn’t expect that response to my reviews.

Here’s what I’m getting:

– The Eyeko mascara and the Faith in Face sheet mask (sheet masks and mascara are two of my favorite products and I hadn’t received either in months).
– The Mellow Cosmetics lipstick (dark brown or nude aren’t great colors for me, but I’m SO delighted to be getting an old-fashioned stick lipstick, which I’d pretty much pleaded for, and not a liquid one, so I’m determined to make it work somehow).
– The Doucce eyeshadow (if Ipsy sends me purple I’ll be delighted because I’ve been asking for purples instead of frosty browns for months. Crossed fingers.)
– The Royal & Nickel fan brush (I’ve never used a fan brush, but that one is so pretty that I’d be delighted even if I had ten of them).

The coloring bag is a cute idea, and the markers are a thoughtful inclusion. I’m still hoping for another adorable Japanese cartoon bag like last year’s Gudetama (perplexing controversy it generated notwithstanding), but I like the novelty and creativity of this one too (although I may end up giving it to a friend’s daughter).

I have never believed that any of these boxes are personally “curated” to subscriber’s preferences…especially Ipsy, who allegedly has around 3 million subscribers. Impossible.
So when I first signed up, I did fill out the profile, but didn’t put much effort into it.
The only request I really made was in all caps: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SEND ME BRONZER OR HIGHLIGHTER
I usually get one or the other of these in every other Ipsy bag😶

I’m cautiously pleased with mine (though I was really hoping for the cloud cream…sigh…), but I also just noticed that the eyeshadow I was excited about will come in Shine OR Envy…and I’m not super-thrilled with Envy. I’ve been wanting to try more warm eye shades, and that Envy looks like it’ll bring all the yellow out of my complexion in the worst way.

The lip balm and highlighter look nice. I don’t have a fan brush yet, so that’ll be handy (and if not…well, it looks cute!)

The mud mask…huh. I get so many masks, and sometimes I don’t do well with mud masks. Maybe I’ll see if that’ll swap later.

I didn’t see my bag listed, I’m getting:

Nip+Fab scrub fix (I like the brand but have so many things like this)
MEG Cosmetics Good Night PM Mask (Happy!)
Furless loose pigment in Sinister (ugh)
Tarte Sex Kitten eyeliner (I have 100 black eyeliners but like the brand)
Skone Large Shadow Brush (I would have rather got one of the pretty colored brushes available this month)

I’m going to email them to see what else I can do to stop getting loose shadows. Got one last month and the Furless this month. I keep rating them as “not for me” and low, yet here we are! Basically happy with 2 items this month, I was thrilled with my Feb bag tho, so hopefully for next month!

I’ve been subscribed since august and this is the first bag I get that I’m not really happy with any of the items.. I’m getting:

*Hikari eyeshadow – I’ve gotten a gold shimmery eyeshadow in every bag I received…

*Make-up sponge – always good to get but really they sell them at the dollar store so..

*Tarte eyeliner – I don’t use black eyeliner ever and it’s not in my profile

*Labotica liquid foil mask – I love masks so I’ll try this out but I received a mask in every bag as well so I have enough masks to last me quite some time

*Steve Laurant lip oil – intrigued but I don’t think I will like it, reminds me of the glosses I used to wear when I was 12

I really was hoping to get the cloud cream, but I didnt.. 🙁

I got Hikari eye pigment (said ‘no’ to this), Glossier balm (said ‘yes’ to this), Tarte eyeliner, City Color highlight duo, & Skone shadow brush.

I’m disappointed, but overall there isn’t a whole lot I would have preferred.

I’m very iffy about this month’s bag. A lot will depend on what colors I get.

I changed my hair color from red to black and added a couple of “creatives” to my cosmetic colors, but there’s no guarantee I did it it time.

Oh, boy, they’re doing Doucce shadow singles, too.

Last year Allure sent a case with three shadows, then a new single every quarter.

If the shade shown is what they’re sending, I got one and it arrived broken. It was very odd swatched.
