FYI - BeautyFix has shared this with us regarding the discrepancy in the Peter Thomas Roth Mask:

It has come to our attention that our warehouse has made an error in shipping out the wrong size of the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask to you. I get two boxes, but only received one $25 gift card. It’s fine though. I used it already! My daughter-in-law and I have a lot of fun sharing my beauty box subs. We both wind up happy.

BF/Dermstore was already a favorite of mine but IMO they have done a great job responding to the mask discrepancy and compensating their customers. I’m thrilled with the $25, especially because I didn’t really want the mask but buy from Dermstore quite frequently. Every experience I’ve had with their CS has been exceptional!!!

I received my apology email and $25 coupon this morning. Not entirely happy as the advertised value of the PTR mask was listed as $42 (the sample size sent is worth $5.80).
I don’t usually shop with Dermstore, but I see if there lots of good choices close to $25, including a PTR Moor set for $38 that has the same mask.

This is the info I got. I really wanted the larger size mask. The one I got is only big enough for maybe 2 full face treatments if I am lucky, and they took the right size down from their store and had it as 40.00 so the credit wouldn’t even let me purchase the right size :((

I received my email from Dermstore today. It is nice they acknowledged the mistake and made it better. I was happy with the box and excited to try the size they gave, so this credit is a bonus to me!

I got my code today too in the email around 8:00am et. I was excited to try the mask and have a big size, but the $25 code is a nice gesture. I didn’t even receive my box yet, it should be delivered today. I agree with some other posters about having mixed feelings, mostly because the value is not the same but also now I’ll probably end up spending even more money with the $25 coupon! Also now there definitely isn’t a hero item in this box. The rest is mostly small samples. I’ll see how I feel when I open it today.

I just got the email this morning for the $25 code. I’m surprised how many people are happy with this, given its not equal to a full size PTR mask and some people were actually shipped a full size mask when they first complained. I have mixed feelings about this.

Yeah I’m not happy with the $25 credit. I would much rather have gotten the size of mask that we were promised and was advertised. It’s also upsetting that some people were sent the right size mask. I wonder if they got the $25 credit as well.

Same. I’ve been subbed 2 years now and with the last 2 months being flops for me the one thing I really wanted was the mask and it’s not enough to really do 2 full face treatment, and the 25.00 is not even enough to repurchase the right size ssample they took out of their store.

Oh.. and for those asking if the $25 can be used for their BeautyFix box, I would imagine that you can.. but you will have to cancel your current subscription in order to be able to do it. Then you reorder and put the code in. Otherwise, there is no other way to do it being they set it up as a code. It’s easy to cancel now being they you can cancel on your account page now.

I agree. I’m happy with this. Since I was happy with the box regardless, I was just going to ride it out and see if they did anything to fix their mistake; so the $25 code is just a cherry on the top of a great box for me. Since I rarely purchase anything from Dermstore, I just now need to remember to use the code when I do!

A rep online told me we could but I don’t see how that’s possible without unsubbing and then starting a new one and using the code. Annoying since I just wanted the mask and was going to unsubscribe anyway, guess I’ll just need to do that process twice unless anyone hears of another way without the reoccurring charge going directly to the card on file instead.

Talked to a rep already about this- you have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to get April’s box.

You can’t since the $25 coupon has to be entered into coupon slot when placing an order and subscriptions are paid automatically with credit card on file. The same goes for store credit. You can use that $25 on Beautyfix only if you unsubscribe and resubscribe entering the code at checkout.

I commented a couple of hours ago, but it hasn’t posted. I had included the text of the email reply from customer service. I should receive a detailed email within the week and will receive a voucher to use on my next dermstore order. The value of the voucher was not disclosed

I received my box today and when I saw the mask and its size I couldn’t believe it, that size is way small. I was one of the few people to defend this box, comb and all. How come as a customer we have not received an email from Beauty Fix with instructions or info on what we can expect? Not all customers get blog updates from MSA (they should 🙂 ) but Beauty Fix should do a better job of communicating about this. They have now had time to have a solution and they need to communicate to all of their customers. I am so disappointed in Beauty Fix. Not because they made a mistake, but how they are handling and communicating about the situation.

Nope no email….I noticed that too with their post and since I got no response with emails and over the phone the rep actually pretended like she had no idea what was going on…I got a bit annoyed so I messaged them on Instagram with my order number and email

I just got done with live chat with April. She said that they were aware of the problem and they would be back in touch. There was no mention of a $25.00 refund. Guess it depends on who you talk to. Not a real happy with the cs at this point.

I was told they would be emailing gift codes to everyone and to keep a lookout for the email. Only time will tell what they will really do, cause so far everyone’s gotten different answers:/
