I bought this for the Show hair fragrance and the Lancer primer. I haven’t tried the primer yet but the Show is disgusting. There is no other way to say it. I know that fragrance is very subjective but this smells awful to me. It’s like a cheap burned Carmel/artificial vanilla. Why would anyone want their head to smell like that? I tried to give it to a friend who loves food fragrances. She gave it back and said the smell was sickening to her. What a dud.

I feel the same way about the hair fragrance. I’m a cosmetologist and it smells exactly how you described. I’m going to throw it away, no one’s hair should smell like that.

I asked for a spoiler on Instagram and I was told that April is natural beauty month, only one item in pic I liked was natural brand. This one photo has some This Works item in it … we won’t get that item but I think something from the brand … Liz, Please use your MSA superpowers to get us a spoiler though I know they usually “spoil” late in month.

I grabbed this one and after recieving it today, I have to say ,sadly,I regret it.
I don’t think its worth the price (whether you pay full price of box or use the $25 discount) ,I wish I would have passed …

Missy

What 25$ discount????

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHIPPING EMAILS IF YOU USED YOUR $25 CREDIT!!! My discount “fell off at processing” and I was actually charged full price. I almost didn’t notice it until I was browsing my bank transactions.

Reply ButtonReply

Choo-

THAAAAANK YOU! I had the same thing happen, I just ran a quick chat with customer service and they are crediting the $25 back to my account.

Honestly, I probably never would have noticed without your comment. Thanks again for posting.

xoxoxo

This happened to me too! Had to call and get the $25 refund even though it showed the order in my history with the $25 taken off, it charged my card the full amount

Reply ButtonReply

Sam

I am SO glad you posted this! I just checked and the same thing happened to me. The $25 credit “fell off” between the receipt and the shipping email. I hope everyone goes back and checks!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh wow, thanks! I didn’t even notice that. Ugh… I just had this exact same experience with the Birchbox kit discount that was recently posted. 🙁 Now I’m off to send an email to Dermstore too. Wah!

Taren

Gonna hold off. Was hoping for a coupon. It’s a bit pricey for what you get.

Reply ButtonReply

Nancy

I will wait for the Mothers Day box…hopefully it will be more to my liking…It was last year.

Reply ButtonReply

dany

ladies, if this doesnt exite you- hold out for the Mother’s Day or even the Father’s Day boxes.
Both are awesome

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I am going to hold off on this one. I am hoping they have a really good Mother’s Day box for sale next month that I can use my $25 code on. Does anyone know if the code has an expiration date on it?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I read someone say that it expires in one year.

Addressing the elephant in the room, I don’t think this is a very special bridesmaids’ gift. There’s nothing keepsake about it or wedding-related for that matter. The hair fragrance, maybe. That cute little jewelry dish in the picture pushes that direction, but that’s not part of the deal. Ha!

Reply ButtonReply

amber

It’s not meant to be a bridesmaids gift. These are all things that can be shared by everyone and pamper themselves the night before or day of.

I do wish the ring dish was included though, it’s really pretty

Reply ButtonReply

Jess M

If this box was half that price, or at least $20 cheaper, I’d be all over it.

Reply ButtonReply

Bethany

Ditto!

Reply ButtonReply

Adele

Yep!

Nicole

I had $40 in rewards points so $10 for this and a 2 yr shape sub works for me!

Reply ButtonReply

Misti

This box would cost me $50 bucks and I can get a whole lot of samples that I really want on Ebayfor way less than these . It is a Major Pass for me .I just do not see a $202 value in these sample am I missing something?

Reply ButtonReply

Jeanette

A bit steep for the products. But I hope everyone enjoys it. I never recouped the $25 gift card for making the mistake of buying two March boxes. Beauty Fix is not my favorite sub right now on how they handled that situation for my two purchases. They only allowed one credit instead of two since I made the mistake of believing their ad.

Reply ButtonReply

Snowhitetwin

Seems like a nice variety of high quality products, but $50 seems steep and I already used my credit 😭

I feel like I’m turning into a beauty junkie…

Besides of brush, is there any other full size item? I do not think so.
I am saving my $25.

Reply ButtonReply

Barb

The Show hair fragrance is full sized and it retails for $70. That and the primer make it worth it to me. Plus, there are two day time moisturizers to try, and two night time products, plus the cleansing oil and the brush. I talked myself into it! I tried every discount code I could find on the internet and none of them worked. I got this box last year and enjoyed it.

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana7e

Barb, you almost pushed me over the edge, I added it to my card. I have hard time balancing at the edge, but ready to fall down and hitt hard “submit my order” button.

LB

And I guess that hair fragrance is full size at 1 oz and $70 too. Wow! That stuff better make me smell amazing. LOL.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

The Lancer primer (rv $58) and the Show hair fragrance (rv $70) are full size. The rest are sample/travel sizes.

Reply ButtonReply

Misti

It is $49.95 not $24.95 a month box. You are correct $50 bucks for samples is a bit steep plus factor in if these are new products to you as a consumer you may like 1 or 2 items out of all of them and that would be a waste of cash that you can spend on full size items you want.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

She’s probably referring to saving her $25 discount code, which would make this box $25 for her. 🙂

LB

It looks like the Lancer primer is full size at 1.0 oz and $58…even on Amazon. That’s what I’m most interested in trying because it sounds like it would be perfect for my skin so I used my $25 credit and bought the box.

Reply ButtonReply

TK

I got it for the Lancer product too and also used my $25 credit. I figured if I didn’t use the credit soon I would forget about it and the box is certainly worth $25.

Tara

My guess is this is priced at $50 because of the $25 credit everyone has. They are normally $35.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Haha, that’s pretty good! Very smart of their marketing team. 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

But the products are worth it. Those ar3 some high end products. Even the brush is great. I use mine from a couple years ago all the time. Keeps your hair shine too. Nobody’s a sucker for getting this box. Because it’s really worth it.

Michelle

And now I feel like a sucker. At least I got it for $10 cheaper than the normal price?

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

I thought the same thing. I actually thought it was pretty cool they came out with that sale strategy so fast. Very smart. I’m impressed with their sales team.

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

I’m a sucker. I used my 25 $ Credit.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

@Liz Cadman Could you possibly find out what the size is of the SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E?

I checked Dermstore’s site and saw that they don’t say. So I blew up the picture to try to see the size of the bottle but couldn’t make out any size.

Thank you!!

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

Idk if you’re still curious, but mybox just arrived today, and the tube is teeny. It doesn’t even have a size listed on it. Just “sample only. Not for resale”. I would guess it’s good for 3 or 4 uses. This is something I’d toss in a swap as an extra

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

This sounds like a good box, but not one I’m willing to spend $50 on.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I just bought it, using my $25 credit from the PTR mix up. I was disappointed about the mask, but I think this is a better value for me.

It also included a free 2 year subscription to Shape magazine.

Reply ButtonReply

Margie Moore-Cooper

Would someone fill me in on these brands? I have a 25 credit as well. Is this a good value?

Thanks

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Monetarily speaking, for $25, on a value to cost ratio, it’s definitely a good value, but the true value is if these are product types that you’ll use. The included brands are well known and highly regarded, so if they’re products you could incorporate into your routine, it could make for a good “investment” to try something new. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

sara

This is a great response! Luna, you would be a wonderful personal beauty adviser!

Ana

I’m passing on this one–too many hydrators. My skin is oily, oily oily.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

I just used my $25 credit to buy this box! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

Really considering using my $25 code for this. The hair perfume and primer sound amazing, I can always use a new wet brush, and I LOVE DHC cleansing oil

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oooh, yes!!! Thank you for the reminder about the $25 code! I was just thinking that it’d be nice to try those exact products you mentioned (the hair fragrance & primer) & the other products look good to, but $50 for those samples (plus the hair brush which I would gift)? I was already starting to think…. I wonder if this will go on sale sometime in the future. I’m off to use my code right now! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Tami

@Luna Skin Medica is amazing! As crazy expensive as it is, I’m hooked on the TNS serum and they often have accompanying creams as gift with purchase…I just started on the HA5 and love it! It will likely last me a few weeks…I’m really sparse with the high end stuff…

Colleen

Thanks for the reminder about the $25 credit from the March box. I haven’t used mine and I would love to try the Lancer primer.
