Now, on to the items!

Trifle Cosmetics Angel Cake – Retail Value $42

If you saw the name of this palette and hoped it smelled as good as it sounds, I have good news for you! It has that classic fruity, sweet Trifle Cosmetics scent!

The palette includes 4 different colored highlighters:

The formula consistency is close to a lip palette – these highlighters are creamy and easy to blend. The colors look a bit intimidating in the pan, but they blend out well so that you just see the shimmer and a hint of the color. (I found all of them to be flattering with the exception of the green.)

Swatched in lower photo.

So Susan Cashmere Matte in Chesnut – Retail Value $21

Another makeup item with a delicious scent! This one reminds me of chocolate cake! It’s a matte brown/red shade. I didn’t find it to be long-lasting, but the pigment is great if you are OK with reapplying throughout the day.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Jelly Pong Pong Eye Smolder in Good Intentions – Retail Value $24

This, however, has staying power! It’s a rosy metallic that has excellent shimmer, pigment, and it doesn’t budge!

Here it is swatched beneath the highlighter palette and the lip crayon:

(FYI – I didn’t blend out the highlighters so that you could see them in the picture, but they do blend out to make the colors almost invisible.)

Jelly Pong Pong Cupid’s Arrow Powder Brush – Retail Value $24

This is a big brush perfect for applying powder blush, bronzer, highlighter, etc. The multi-colored bristles are super soft and densely packed, too:

And each So Susan Lip Love comes with a new makeup bag:

Limited Edition Makeup Bag – Value $12

As usual, I prefer the non-text side of the bag!

The bag is made of a spill-proof vinyl material with a fabric lining.

Verdict: This month’s So Susan Lip Love bag has a value of about $123! I think that value is fantastic for a $21 ingredient-conscious makeup subscription box. Plus, I appreciate that they sent a palette that pushed me out of my makeup comfort zone!

If you are looking for a vegan, ingredient-conscious makeup subscription, I can’t recommend this one enough. The value is great, the formulas are great, and the bonus bag is always super cute!

  1. I just got my bag. I’m open to swaps. 😃

  2. I want the bag! I will swap for it. I have lots of items, especially sheet masks and ipsy bags.

  3. I’m loving the fun and different colors in this vegan and cruelty-free bag. And I like the anti-Valentine’s day message too.

  4. These prices are way way over what they are truly worth! I cancelled my subscription last month!

    • They are all worth half or less than what the retail price is showing! Don’t waste your money!

    • Agreed!!!

    • I don’t think so myself. I think the Jelly Pong Pong Brush is worth more than the price I paid for the bag. It’s sturdy and beautiful and very high quality. The Palette is gorgeous and smells heavenly. It’s very gorgeous and I even took a nap and woke up looking the same. For the eyeliner, another great item. Very pigmented and gorgeous as it glides perfectly smooth. I think for 20.95 this box is a must have. I am a fan of So Susan and Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics.

      • Me too. I think the quality of almost everything they send is excellent.

  5. I was able to swap for the palette! I’m so excited to get it in my hot little hands! It looks like so much fun!

  6. Didn’t they change their name to color curate?

    • Yeah they did.

  7. This is the first one I’ve really wanted in a long time. *sigh*

  8. I’d love to use this bright colors from palette as eyeshadows. Is it possible what do you think?

    • I purposely blended them out to get just a subtle highlight, but I think you should be able to wear them a bit bolder. (Maybe not as bold as the swatches, though.) Hope that helps a bit!

      • Putting them over a white powder shadow should give you both more intense color and longer wear.

        • Ooo! thank you for the suggestion!

    • I thought of that exact thing! I think I will try them at a time when I don’t need them to be long-lasting.

    • I used mine today for eye shadow and lipstick and I looked like a highlighter girl lol. It looked really cool. Hubby loved it. I highlighted my face first then used the colors for eyeshows. They blend very nice too. Yayyy and I love my brush. So perfect.

      • Thank you! I’ll try to swap for it then. 😜

  9. I need another beauty sub (or more makeup for that matter) like a hole in the head. But this one always tempts me. The only thing, since it’s basically the same price as Boxycharm, I would rather have a fifth item than yet another makeup bag. I wish subs would do away with makeup bags altogether. I think we’re set, thanks.

    • And here I’m always collecting ipsy bags, though I skip every month I don’t like the bag.
