By engaging in this fun card game, children develop the ability to identify and express characteristics of human emotion through facial expressions they create using the pieces. This is an especially helpful process for children who struggle to relate to emotion in others, or who have difficulty expressing their own feelings. A vibration massage can be very organizing and alerting for a child with a low arousal level. Vibration gives children that extra sensory information to “wake up” their muscles. It can also be very therapeutic and calming for a child who is a “seeker” by giving them the sensory input they crave. You can give your child a vibration massage by rolling it up and down their back, arms and legs- or let them use it themselves.
