Looking for a clue about your February box? Well, we’ve got two!
Each box will have TWO lip products, but we’re only spilling one of them. Will it be Sephora Collection Rouge Matte in Rebel Chic or Sephora Collection Ultra Shine in Perfect Nude? We can’t wait to share the love.
XOXO,
Team PLAY!

Ugh I don’t look good in red lipstick and I got that exact gloss in a box a few months ago…

Jen
Same here! I have gotten it twice. I’m always annoying by all the complaints but I’m stating to understand how people feel… there are so many products so why sample the same things over and over? Smh
Katie
I just re-subscribed today, I’m not sure if I’ll be receiving this months box but I’m super stoked anyway. I decided to treat myself to a few of my old beauty subs since my birthday is coming in March. 🙂

I have box 177. Can’t wait for spoilers!

I got box 169 this time, just hope it’s a good one with no red or really dark lippy.

Well after all this time I have finally found my box #😳
I am getting #177
This will be my last box for a while.

Miranda
I’m new…. Do we find it for sure what’s in the box before delivery like ipsy?
Reply
Glenna Turney
Not really. Ipsy tells you exactly what you are getting. Play tells you about all the products but it doesn’t tell you that is exactly what you’re getting. More of a real surprise and disappointment all in one. Don’t get too excited about anyone product because that will be the one you don’t get.

I hope I don’t get a red lipstick because I’ve gotten a one from them every other month and red lipstick doesn’t even look good on me. That’s the last thing I need.

have you updated your beauty preferences? (you get to choose the colors you want or if you don’t want lip products at all just de-select). so far i’ve found that they always have respected my preferences in product selection

Mar,
Where do you go to update your beauty preferences? I can’t seem to find anywhere to do so!
Thanks
Annie
I don’t see anywhere in the beauty profile where I can give color preferences or really any makeup preferences. They’re all about my skin and hair types and what I value in a beauty store.

Maybe “head over heals” is actually the clue? Shampoo and Conditioner? Nail Polish and Foot Scrub? I’m not quite sure EXACTLY what Sephora carries in the way of variety in products. Sorry ladies, shame me if you want. I’m not a hor… (It’s a joke! You’ll GET IT with the completion of my sentence) I’ve never stepped foot in a Sephora store or went to their website. I was looking at the reviews because I was thinking of doing the subscription box for my Niece who will be 21 on the 26th. Is it worth it? She’s not a super girly girl. Wears a little bit of makeup, gets her nails done on occasion, wears perfume daily, more of the t-shirt and jeans kind of gal, wears flip flops daily (we live in South Carolina) I’d appreciate some feedback from any young ladies her age. Would this be something for her, or a waste of $10?! Thanks, this spoiling her Niece Auntie appreciates it! lol

Personally I’m still cracking up but hey I have a sense of humor

Hi Heidi! I would say that for $10 a month for the sort of young woman you’re describing, the box probably isn’t worth it. (I’ve been a subscriber for nearly 2 years.) I’m a huge make-up/skin care woman myself and I find the box is great for telling me about new products, but rarely offers the right color lippy, eyeshadow, etc. for me. If she’s big into skin care, this might be a good choice. You said she was into wearing perfume daily, so you might want to check out one of the monthly perfume boxes instead. BTW, you sound like a cool auntie.

Head over heals? No, people just can’t spell any more.

Meg
it’s spelled correctly for usage in the Sephora email featured above.

Don’t be rude. That wasn’t necessary
Jay
My guess/want is their sephora lipstories line lipsticks as a sampler. And a lip mask(please no Bite)

Christine
Im guessing laneige sleeping lip mask and tarte color splash lipstick
Reply
Jen
Yep cause those are the 100 point products
Reply
Julie
I hope this is the combo, the Laneige lip mask is fantastic and I loved the Tarte lippie we got last year!
Reply
Laurie
I hope one is the Laneige lip mask. I received one in a Sephora Favorites box a week or so ago and it’s fab!

I think I’m the only one who never has enough red lipsticks lol. I’m over here chanting “lipstick lipstick lipstick!”
Reply
Sharon
I hate nude lipsticks. Hate hate hate them. My lips are pretty dark so literally everything makes me look washed out and sickly. Pinks are a hit or miss. But I LIVE for cool-toned red lipsticks.
Reply

I never have enough red lipsticks! And Sephora Play keeps sending me the light pink and nude colors so I sit here jealous of those who get the reds.
Reply
Pink5
Me, too. I think I got one or two, every other time, if there was a pink or a nude, I got that.
So RED LIPSTICK RED LIPSTICK RED LIPSTICK.
My box ends in 144, too soon to tell what that means.

I’m guessing lip products, heh.
What I’d LOVE to receive is a lip scrub and a lip plumper! Those two products are definitely on my wish list.
I really don’t need any glosses, lipsticks or liners right now.
Reply
Laurie
That would be great!

Toni
My guess … lip scrub or a lip moisturizer =feel the love and definitely some red lip product

Charlotte
Also says-fall head over heels for. Maybe a hair product too?

Veronica
I hope one is a lip mask and not 2 lipsticks. I have 50 plus lip sticks, glosses, liquid lip, etc. I don’t wear anything but a very light pink gloss or on rare occasions a nude lipstick.

I’m so glad I cancelled. I’m trying out Ricky’s cult fav and Ipsy in February instead. Fingers crossed they are good to me. Wasn’t feeling the love any more from Play

I’ve been with Ipsy since their October box. Been loving the brushes they send, not overly wowed by everything else.

I get kinda bumbed when I get alot of make-up. I love this box but the other stuff that’s in the boxes is why I keep getting it. I know it sounds silly. If you look at a ad for ULTA recently. Most of the stuff I’ve gotten from Sephora in the last year. It’s nice ive tried almost everything. Just wish less obvious things we have alot of lipsticks, mascara. I would love to see more tools and foundation or powder. I never know what color kind or what things are for.

I hope I get some red or berry lip products. That nars color they sent last month is awful color.

From the post, it looks like two lipsticks. I cancelled before they charged my card. Whew!

Yeah, right? Can they be any more vague???

I don’t like spoiler teasers that are completely vague and non-specific. It’s like we are getting a tease for the spoiler tease….just tell us already!!!
Keshia Figaro
Can it please be confirmed that 2018 Play boxes will include the “Signature Sixth Item”, moving forward??? I enjoy the fragrance sample and treat it like a “pro” for this box.

justmissjamey
I think they only switch it up rarely. Most of the time we get perfume samples, which I love as well.

Angie
Very interesting. Well they already charged me so can’t wait either way! Just hope I don’t get yet another lipstick bc I have had one for 3 months in a row 🙄
Reply
Katherine
I think the spoiler is telling us that we’re getting two lip products.
Reply
Mikayla
I definitely thought that’s what it meant too
Suzanne
From how their spoiler read, I’d assume it’s two lip products. Hopefully for your sake not lip sticks. But there will probably be a red one in there, LOL!!
