Olia Box Jewelry Subscription Review – January 2018
Olia Box is a jewelry styling box that sends you 2-3 pieces that complement your style each month. Subscribers fill out a questionnaire when they sign up to let your stylist know what tones of metals you wear, what necklace style you prefer, and any other comments you might want to tell them (like pierced ears or ring size).
When you sign up, you’ll get to answer these questions:
- Which metal tone(s) do you wear? (Gold Only, Silver Only, Mix Gold & Silver, or Surprise Me)
- Which necklace style(s) do you prefer? (Everything Dainty, Bold & Chunky, Long Pendants, or Surprise Me)
I chose Surprise Me for each of these. You can change your preferences anytime by sending customer service an email.
There is also a comment box that you can add any additional info you want them to know. I added that I have multiple piercings in each ear.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Olia Box January 2018 Review
This month’s jewelry includes a necklace, bracelet, and earring set that coordinate. Let’s see how they look.
Each month’s box comes with this “handle with care” card.
Sparkly Cluster Statement Necklace – Estimated Value $24.99
Yay for something sparkly! This is the most statement piece I have received from Olia Box, but it still has a dainty quality to it. I love the blush, cream, and clear tones and how they work with so many different outfits. My favorite way to wear necklaces like this is with a jacket so that the sparkly-ness peeks out from under the collar. There is a short extender and I’m wearing it at the shortest length above. The back is also nice and smooth so it doesn’t irritate my skin.
Three Stone Thin Gold Bangle – Estimated Value $9.99
This subscription loves to send super delicate bangles. I think they look cute on their own but they look great stacked too. Kudos to Olia Box for that. This bangle has a thin gold band and three tiny bezel set crystals. It fit comfortably on my wrist as-is but is flexible so you could adjust the width as needed.
Gold Crystal Studs – Estimated Value $7.99
These are the perfect little studs for me. I have several holes in each ear, and depending on the look I’m going for, these work in all of them. They are even tiny enough to fit in my helix piercings (top of ear). They come with the wide backs which are very comfortable but I tend to replace the backs with the little silicone backs so they are low profile.
The Verdict: I’m so happy with my Olia Box this month. Actually, I’ve been thrilled with my Olia Box every month so far. I love the style and simplicity of everything and I really love the fact that all of the pieces from every month can be worn together. There are no brand markings on the jewelry, but compared to prices for similar pieces (at Target.com), I estimate a retail value of $42.97 for this box. This box seems less about getting a huge discount and more about curating jewelry that works for you. So, if you like dainty, simplistic jewelry and you want to choose your metal tones, this may be a great sub for you!
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Olia Box chooses jewelry for you based on your answers to the style choices. You might not get the same items I did, but you may end up with pieces that are even better for you. Sign up now to see what they pick for you!
Value Breakdown: This box cost me $34.99 which means that each of the 3 pieces of jewelry in the box has an average cost of $11.66.

I find this really interesting because my wife would have liked what you received. However, instead of selecting “surprise me” she selected Silver and Bold and Chunky. What we received for January 2018 was sliver very dainty.
What’s worse was that we didn’t receive January’s shipment in January. After not receiving anything in the month of January we reached out to Olia via email and they apologized and said “they are sending our January shipments tomorrow (this was on February 16th), and would ship out February’s shipment the middle of next week”. Well, it’s March 7th and we still haven’t received a February or March package.
My advice, buyer beware. It might totally work out for you, or you might not receive anything.
That necklace is perfect on you! Such a gorgeous piece.
I love that necklace!
Obsessed with that necklace. I have several accent pieces that would look great.
