  2. Warning people to avoid this sub! It is an absolute disaster. I had a deal that I signed up for (30% off for life of sub). Last month, without warning, they changed the price and charged me more. I contacted support by email, got a response that resolved nothing and could not get any further response. I contacted by facebook, and was told to call. I called, and got told I’d be called back. Nothing. And they just overcharged me again. Anyone I have spoken to just blames new ownership.

    • Change the credit card on file in your account to an empty Visa gift card. That’s what I do whenever I cancel a box because I don’t trust things to go smoothly.

      If you are using Paypal and you don’t want to be charged remove their permissions to auto charge you.

  5. Has anyone ever received a duplicate box but never charged? I received my initial box on January 16th. I then got an email on Jan 22 saying my box was on it’s way? I thought maybe the email was just behind schedule, as that has happened to me prior. Well long story short I got a duplicate box just two days ago? The same products I received almost 10 days prior. So strange. I checked my bank and I had never been charged for it. Crazy! I’ll be gifting this!

    • Yes. Over the years, duplicate free boxes have arrived at my house at random probably 8-10 times.

      I always let them know, they always say ” Our mistake, please keep it”.
      Thus far, I’ve never had a problem with their CS and I have subscribed from the first or second box.. I know the service side of things varies WIDELY and RANDOMLY though.

      • That is so strange that it has happened to you so many times. Well it is a plus no doubt. I had just told myself I would like to purchase some of that hair oil as I thought it made my hair feel ahhhmazing and poof another box pops up. Must be the universe helping a girl out!..

    • I received two December 2017 boxes, after three weeks of emailing back and forth with customer service. The first December box arrived (in January) and a week later a second box arrived. Two different variations.

    • Yes, it did say 6 items for February….

    • My guess is two sheet masks.

      • That would make sense!

      • I’m guessing that smaller swuare packet is shampoo and conditioner in travel size wrapped together. Looks like it’s two bottles in one pack when zoomed in.

  8. Still willing to try them after two negative customer experience (Rituals/Black Friday boxes) but need more spoilers plus they would be up against BeautyFix so tough fight for them for my coins which they don’t care about so far. Beautifully packaged boxes!

  10. I’ve tried all flavors of the
    Royal Apothic Scrubbie Exfoliating Lip Treatment – The packaging is nice – Yet the flavors are gross, not sweet, just off tasting ( just my opinion ) , I wish they would have stuck with flavorless or make them a bit more appealing since afterall lipscrubs are supposed to go on the lips.

  11. I’m hoping for a lip gloss. My guess for the large square item would be a sheet mask. For the long item, an eye pencil. No idea for the smaller square item. But I’m liking the spoilers so far.

  12. I would sign up in a minute but Everytime I received a box from Glossybox it was always different from the reviews. I would get so excited to get my box and then it was nothing I saw on spoilers. I don’t want to chance it again. Happened to many times.

  13. I hope I get the gloss and I am excited for the scrub. Hopefully that is it in the lip department. Excited for my box. If the picture with the wrapped presents is actual representation of what is to come. I’d say a huge eyeshadow pallet, a cheek/highlighter pallet, and a brush.

    • The smaller rectangle might be some kind of palette but my guess is that the larger one is a face mask.

  14. Was glossybox bought out by a different company? I have had AMAZING experiences with them lately and the boxes are looking better. The had sent me a wrong box for DEC I emailed on a Monday, got an immediate response and …get this….got my correct box Tuesday by Next day delivery FedEx with I thought was way out of the ordinary for them.

    • I don’t know, but I have not had the same recent positive experience with Glossybox customer service. I never received my December box and despite my repeated calls, all Customer Service could tell me was that my subscription was “accidentally cancelled” and there was nothing they could do to get me a box at the price I was paying ($10/month – I subscribed during a promotion)

      • I bought and paid for a six-month subscription and decided to tell them I wanted to cancel but instead of just turning off the auto renew I canceled. But I am still owed my January and February boxes to complete my six-month subscription. I have been trading back-and-forth messages to their customer service first person told me oh I’m sorry you actually don’t have an account anymore instead of canceling you should have just turn off the auto renew there is nothing we can do. I politely told him yes there is something you can do you can fill my six-month subscription and send me the January and February boxes that I have already paid for I finally got someone to tell me that the previous information I received was incorrect and that I indeed would be receiving my remaining two boxes. Of course it is now February 1 and I do not have my January box but have been promised several times that I still would be receiving it I guess I really don’t understand how hard it is for them to send me a January box and at this point I frankly have given up but it is very very frustrating to deal with this company

      • I never received December’s either. Talked to three different people. First told me it was being resent. Second that i was refunded-not. Third put in a request for a reissue. Wrote to them and was given different answers. Last messafe had completed and nothing had been sent to me. My daughter has not received hers either. Ever since buyout not the same.

        • Glossybox should not get away with treating their customers so poorly. No one should just “give up”!
          I still have not received my December Box. I have been dealing with them for over two months. It has been an infuriating experience. They are incompetent to say the least. The head of Glossy customer service is Lexie Hunter and here is her email address:

          Maybe we can make a difference if we take our complaints up the ladder a bit.

          I have been promised, lied to, put off ect.

    • Yes. The Hut Group (Look Fantastic) bought them out two months ago.

    • Same here. I contacted their CS in December and had a very positive experience with them as well.
