Frank And Oak Style Plan February 2018 Review

Frank and Oak Box February 2018 Box Contents

Before I dive into my picks for this month, here's more information about the Frank And Oak Style Plan sign-up process:

After choosing a preferred style, you can select a monthly or bi-monthly plan, set your sizes for various types of clothing (tops, pants, skirts, shoes etc), and set a budget for each box (Under $150 or $150+). Overall, the clothing is minimal and sophisticated, a big trend that I am seeing everywhere right now!

Once Frank And Oak Style Plan has an idea of your style preferences, they present clothing options that match your style. In addition to several images and fabric and sizing info, you can either pick from your style recommendations or skip the month.

This month I received an information card that is in English and French. It highlights that all of their products are designed in Montreal by their team of designers and created with ethically sourced materials from around the globe. They also list how you can share your pieces on social media.

Fluid Muscle Tank in Rust, Size L - Retail Value $24.50 (Member's price: $17.50)

We are deep into winter right now so I haven't shown my arms in what feels like forever! I was really excited to see this style though because it matches what I was wearing pretty much all last summer, and it has me thinking ahead to warmer days. The rust color is stunning, perfect to wear in the summer or even now with a cardigan layer over it. This tank is a modal and polyester blend and is extremely soft! It has a nice stretch to it while also being very breathable. I love the overall fit and thought it was very flattering to my shape. This is a keeper!

The Boy Tee in Washed Rust, Size L - Retail Value $24.50 (Member's price: $17.50)

I am officially obsessed with this rust color! This is another style that is very similar to what I was wearing last summer. The best part about this tee though is that the fit is incredible! It has that boyfriend tee structure that I love, I don't particularly like the way women's tees fit my body-type. The sleeves are a great length and don't hug too tightly. As an added bonus, this tee is 100% cotton and incredibly soft! It moves with me in a way that is comfortable while still making me feel confident and cute. I want to live in this boy tee, catch me in the summer and you might see that I actually am!

Fluid V-Neck Tee in True Black, Size L - Retail Value $30.50 (Member's Price: $21.50)

I love a v-neck in a solid black, to me, this is a style that I will always want to have in my closet. This tee has a unique fit of being a bit shorter in length with longer sleeves. I really the shorter length as it allowed me to pair it with high-waisted jeans. I also thought that the longer sleeve length paired nicely with the shape of the v-neck, allowing this shirt to really move with you. Like the other shirts, this one is extremely comfortable and is a modal and poly blend. This is a piece that I could see having in my closet for many years to come and always putting it on knowing I am going to feel my very best while still being extremely comfortable.

Verdict

I was very excited to see that Frank and Oak changed their style plan model to similar clothing boxes with a monthly styling fee. Frank and Oak pieces can be on the higher price-point side depending on your budget, but the new plan offers you to try on their high-quality pieces without as much risk. Plus, free shipping both ways! I was extremely impressed with this month's box, mainly because I live in tees most days, but I don't like to risk my style for comfort. Each of these shirts had everything that I was looking for! They were the comfiest tees I have ever tried on, you can really feel the quality, and the fit on all three shirts was amazing. I felt comfortable, confident, and dare I say sexy! For me, Frank and Oak provides quality pieces that I am looking at as more of an investment to my wardrobe. Each of the styles this month are something that I know I will wear constantly, and the quality appears that these are going to last me over the years.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, each box is customized based on your style plan. Under the new $25 styling fee plan, boxes ship automatically on the 1st of the month, and you can log in 2 days before shipment to add or remove items, or skip the month altogether.

Value Breakdown: I paid the member's price of $56.50 for the three items I received this month, which would have cost me $79.50 at their regular retail prices– a savings of about 28%! If I decide to return all three items, I will pay the $25 styling fee and will be refunded the remaining $31.50, but I can keep any one item at the discounted price and no styling fee will be charged.

Be aware that you are charged for everything upfront. You don’t get the 7 days to try things, decide what you like, return what you like, and then get charged. I was shocked when it all came out the moment I made my selections. I have only tried Frock Box before and you don’t pay anything more than a styling fee upfront.
