Rachel Pally Reversible Clutch in Bloom

FYI – if you want to pick your clutch pattern, make sure to upgrade your FabFitFun subscription to annual!

And here are a few of us modeling the clutch:

From Anna:

I really love the fact that this bag is double-sided! Once we get closer to summer, the pink, palm-printed side will likely take center stage more often, but for now, I’m digging that I can just change the direction of the fold and have a really smart-looking mint-green clutch.

From Sara:

This clutch is the perfect color-pop to my typical neutral outfits. The mustard faux leather compliments black and gray perfectly, but I can also show off the floral patterned canvas for a bigger statement accessory.

From me:

I’m ready for Spring and Summer weather, so these patterns and colors are so bright and fun right now! I decided to try mixing patterns, and I thought the floral clutch added the right amount of pop to this maxi.

And in case you missed the first spoiler, this box will also include:

ISH Beauty Lip Statement Palette – Retail Value $42

This palette was done in collaboration with Alex Garza.

With these nudes and pops of color, your lips will create a statement! These 11 intensely pigmented shades and 1 tinted lip topper are enriched with rose extracts, shea butter, jojoba oil, and aloe vera for extra moisture and easy wear. Mix any shades to create infinite combinations of lip colors, customized by you! Add the tinted lip topper for a hint of sheen and a touch of added moisture. Paraben free. Gluten free. Cruelty free

Here are all the shades swatched:

The pigment is great throughout the palette, and the formulas are moisturizing and creamy, too!

  1. So disappointing! Cancelling

  2. Cancelled…all the boxes have disappointed me with the exception of the winter box in 2016. Everything is cheap. That salted thing with the grater, I found on Alibaba for $1.20. That is what it cost the manufacturer per unit plus packaging. Most items are made in china dirt cheap. The retail value of the boxes is super overinflated for the quality you are getting. The only things I have loved is the DL & Co. Candle and the passport holder/luggage tag..every wrap or scarf I received piled immediately or shed to a point I threw them out within the first wear..I missed the modcloth one…but my feeling is that one would do the same as their sweaters pile….all cheap junk. The Kate Sommervile exfoliant burnt my face…not for me anymore. Rachel Zoe is better quality, but that is hit or miss as well. Think about it, these companies are making a killing off these boxes, marketing them as a “deal”. Um nope..you put $20 worth of crap product in the boxes and your profit is 70%. Won’t do another box loaded with cheapness.

  3. I was wondering do any of you know what someone might get if they chooses the surprise bag in the add on section?

I love suprises and I am interested in trying it but I didn’t know if it would be junk or something worth having.

    Any comments appreciated.

  4. Thank you ladies for modeling the clutch for us. I bet you had fun with that. You three are my favorite three models and all the ones that you use. It certainly made me want this box.

  5. The rose gold items in FFF boxes always look so cheap to me. Does anyone else think so? I’ve been subbed for a year and haven’t been happy with any of the jewelry over that time :-/

The orange bag is my favorite, but screams fall, not spring/summer, so I might go with the pink/teal one…. Decisions, decisions…

  6. I have been a subscriber to FFF for almost three years, and I have loved every box until this one. This one looks like really cheap quality compared to what we have received in the past. I will be sitting this one out.

  7. Omg I love the peach earrings, all of the clutches are beautiful and the beach candle sounds yummy I hope I can get that one, as well as the guava lotion! If I order a box tomorrow can I still have a selection choice?

  8. I just went from annual to seasonal. This box is underwhelming for me and I almost cancelled but FFF customer service is great and this is the first box that I am not too keen on so I stayed but only as seasonal. However since “select” is an annual perk, I was told I may not get what I selected – that would be a shame, but I will take my chances. Just cannot spend $179 + taxes right now

  9. Ok just got access to add ons and there is nothing decent left. Can we just laugh about the fact that they are trying to sell those doucce eyeshadow palettes for $49! 🙄

  10. Underwhelming box so far….

  11. I’m having the weirdest reaction to these spoilers. I’m looking at them thinking “ooh pretty” and I want this box, even though the rational part of my brain is screaming “no! don’t do it!”

Lip palette- I love to rock a bold lip. I could have so much fun with this palette, and yet I just treated myself to some really nice, bright, NARS lipsticks.

Candle- I have a candle problem. I really do. The Manhattan Beach candle is calling to me. I have a shelf full of candles to burn, but oh how I want this.

Clutch- Again, I own several clutches like this, thanks to all the boxes I’ve gotten over the years. I need another clutch like I need another hole in my head. But the colors are so pretty. Still, none are as pretty as the bright, multi-colored one I once got from Julep.

Jewelry- I have no trouble saying no to the bracelet. I really like the black tassel earrings, though I highly doubt that I can pull that look off. With my thicker glasses, short hair, and love of wearing a bold lip, I really can’t go beyond a stud earring, otherwise it all becomes too much.

Beauty- I’m intrigued by this lip mask idea. I also love anything from Korres. I have plenty of lotions and body butters.

I don’t need anything here. I just want it so badly.

    • You could probably pull off the tassles if you match them to the earrings. Like a darker Kat Von D and the black tassles?

  12. I am thinking about adding the tassel earrings and turning them into pasties.

  13. I was up for renewal, and I had a few add ons (love living proof products), but the box itself didn’t interest me, so I cancelled. Realized I’d be spending $179 just to have access to the add ons, and it wasn’t worth it. Still recommend the box, but this season’s is underwhelming, for me. Too many brands lately that only appear in sub boxes, and that jewelry choice (to me, if you like it, no offense meant, just not my style) is horrible. Hope next one is better

  14. Wow I’m so glad I cancelled. The biggest irritation for me is the insane price the jewelry is supposedly worth. The quality of everything can literally be bought for under ten dollars and assembled at home from Michaels craft store. It’s so insulting. They are making a killing selling this stuff from China.

  15. To the lovely model in the green maxi dress; where is the dress from. Love it!

    • Forever 21 she posted a link a couple days ago

  16. I’m not impressed by any of the spoilers. FFF used to be my favorite box, but the Winter one was just OK for me and this one is an easy pass. Shame, but I’m glad I didn’t commit to an annual sub tbh.

  17. So I got the Black Tassel Earrings (my husband picked it) and I like the earrings better than a bracelet with LOVE inscription it is so cheesy! Don’t get me wrong, both selections are meh. Then Manhattan Beach candle, the body butter, and the In Bloom clutch. I was thinking of the Sahara clutch too but I just couldn’t take my eyes of In Bloom even though it is white… Anyhow so disappointed with this box.

  18. I just hit Upgrade Me in my subscription and they just billed me 179$. Then I saw these spoilers. It sucks!

  19. Haven’t like fabfit fun since summer 17 whats another similar subscription you guys like let me know

  20. Haven’t like fabfit fun since summer 17 whats another similar subscription you guys like

  21. I’m just Curious what everyone picked for their clutch? I picked the Mint/Peach, Rose Gold and body butter, Manhattan Beach for the Candle. I’m also very disappointed in this box! The White Clutch screams Elderly to me…. the orange and Yellow Screams Fall to me… The Braclet I hope it fits I’m usually a 7 and a half but this says 7. The only thing I’m actually liking is the Lip Pallet. Other then that very disappointing!!!

    • I agree with you on the other 2 patterns of the clutch but everytime I look at the mint one I can’t help but think of those 80s/early 90s wicker Florida couches. I’m not sure how old you are (and I’m probably showing my age) but think Golden Girls or Jerry Seinfeld’s parents’ retirement community home in Florida. Don’t get me wrong, the patterns are very tropical and cute, but I’m just not really drawn to any of them and I get a weird thought about each one. LOL. I chose the orange/yellow which is VERY unlike me. I’m hoping it does work as a pop of color for my mostly gray/black wardrobe or is at least easy to find if I throw it into a bigger bag. 🙂

  22. Very Disappointed in this box!

  23. I picked the silver bracelet, body cream, paradise purse and the beach candle!
Kinda glad my annual subscription is now complete. Will try a different box next.

  24. Not really thrilled with this box. Maybe because I am not in the spring mood here in the gloomy northeast.

Earrings – was going to get black and then said, get the peach. It’s different. I like the two tone thing as well. If the black was black & silver, I would have gotten that.

Lip masks – I actually own a lot of lip masks, so I went with the body butter. My skin is so dry.

Candle – I went with linen. I like the jar it comes in. But the scents were really not appealing to me overall

Clutch – I dislike ALL THREE in different ways. Either the patter was awful or the colors (I am having flashbacks to the 1980’s with that Paradise color scheme). Bloom was nice, but then they had the white faux leather and that will be a pain to clean (if it was navy, that would have been the one). I went with the orange one, as i did like the pattern, and even though orange is one of my least favorite colors, it will work nicely with jeans and being casual.

Lip palette – I will never use this ever. It will go into a giveaway or swap pile.

This spring is awful. I am on an annual, so I am hoping summer and fall will be nice. I like being able to pick my own items/colors, but I don’t think it is worth another annual sub. I will cancel it.

    • Hahahaha. YES! I could not agree with you more on the clutch colors. I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought of 80’s wicker furniture in Florida when I saw the paradise pattern and the white “leather” made the other one a no-go for me….so I ended up with orange which totally shocked me.

      • LB-That “mint” clutch does scream Florida!! I think you have to live their to choose that color. It looks like it’s a scrap from a curtain. I almost chose the orange until I zoomed in on a picture and noticed the color/texture of faux leather-looks so mustard orange. Ugh. It looks so cheap on that side. I picked the white bloom that’ll get dirty in no time.

  25. It’s funny to see people hating on the candles, but that is the only item so far in this box I am excited about! I would have bought a 2nd one if I could. All the other items look really childish and kitchy this season. That jewelry is stuff you;d find at Claire’s for sure, and I know people are excited about the clutches, but I do not think the patterns are attractive at all, but more than that for me they are just so impractical. It seems like you could fit very little in it without it looking bulging and weird. Like, is it a purse just made for your phone and keys and a lipstick? If you put anything else in there it would not look cute. And what’s the point? Just not for me. But you can’t satisfy everyone with every item!

    • I take it back. Did a little research and found on their website these 8oz candles only have a 7 hour burn time!!! That is CRAZY fast for such a large candle. The quality must be really bad.

      • Based on the stated burn times for smaller candles on the Anderson Lilley site, I’d bet it’s a typo and should say 70+ hours.

    • I’m thinking I might put my iPad mini or a book in there and a little packet of tissues, or just one of my ipsy makeup bags, to keep it more or less attractively shaped. Then it would go in my big purse or travel bag. I would def not put keys in there, though.

  26. Does anyone know when she will review spring box ? Thanks in advance 😘

  27. Another candle?!? Maybe they need to send another items like notebooks or pens- I do not know- something different! Spring box does not look the great that I expect- maybe need to wait if there are more items. But the add-ons are REALLY REALLY GOOD!

    • I have subscribed to 6-8 sub boxes for the last year, and I have never gotten a single candle from a sub. So far, the candle is the only item I am looking forward to! Everything else looks lame.

      • What subscriptions im looking for other s beside fabfitfun

    • I know! I am SO DISAPPOINTED in this box – like WTF FFF really? this is the worst box ever!! do you think they are trying to save money??? I will be cancelling for sure! but I sure will miss the add ons……..I really hope FFF redeems thereselves with an AMAZING summer box cause if they don’t I’m gone!

    • What do you mean by “Another candle?” I double-checked the boxes from the past year and they haven’t sent a single candle. The only other candle that was sent out in the past 2 years was Winter 2016.

      • I was thinking the same thing

      • I’m outta here, too. Awful box. Winter was better. So was last spring.

    • This is my 4th consecutive box from them… thank goodness my sub is over now, but I haven’t received a candle in any of those boxes. It’s actually one of the only things I’m actually looking forward to. My hope that the other 5 items are going to blow me away, is quickly dwindling.

      • Sorry, meant to say 5th box 🙂

  28. As a retired beauty blogger, I definitely had subscription box overload for a long time and everything was disappointing to me. I canceled every box after taking a hiatus and 2 years later, I have just subscribed to FFF annually, and I’ve gotta say, I’m SUPER excited about this box! The jewelry is definitely a little meh, but I love rose gold so I’m hoping the bracelet is cuter in person. If not, it’ll make a great gift! I chose the Korres body butter because I go through lotion like it’s my full time job. The manhattan beach candle and the cream colored clutch. I’m boring when it comes to lipstick and only switch between two of my favorites, so the palette will also be gifted. Having said that, I was shocked to see all the negative comments here- I think this is such a fun box- but I suppose that might also have to do with being away from sub boxes for so long and getting rid of/using up a lot of my overstock of stuff!

Excited to see what the rest of the items will be!

    • If the box was $29.99, that would be fair IMO. But the last several boxes have been fail after fail for me personally. Now, one of my faves in the winter box WAS indeed the lotion, so there is always a need for that… but I’m over the palettes, the jewelry is kiddie jewelry (just like every other piece has been in my last 4 boxes, all of it has been just bad with ridiculous retail values). For me, at THIS point, without knowing what the other items are, is not worth $50 (or $45). If all the other boxes recently had blown me away, I would be fine with this one just being a dud… but I had already chosen for my sub not to renew 2 boxes ago. I was hoping before my last box I would change my mind… sadly, this box sealed the deal for me. I WANT to love FFF, and I look at the older boxes and I’m so jealous!! But this past year, for me, has been a let down for sure. I’m glad you are excited about the box… that’s the thing with subs, hard to please everyone.

  29. NO FOMO. So glad I canceled. The only thing I like in this season’s box is the Korres body butter. Everything else is a big whopping NO.

  30. I think this is a great box so far! I have never purchased tassel earrings and they’re super on trend right now – so I’m excited to get the peach pair. I think they’ll be a great statement earring for spring and think I’ll wear them often. I LOVE the orange clutch, and am a fan of lip masks. I burn candles all day in my home office while I’m working – so I can never have too many of those. The thing I’m the least excited about is the lip kit – because I’m drowning in lippies as it is. But – all in all – I’m excited about the options they provided us with and I scored some great add on deals as well.

    • I was so sad to see the earrings are posts and not fish-hook. My holes are too stretched out and I can’t wear posts so I had to choose the bracelet but I thought the earrings were pretty cute too!

  31. So I realize that I’m probably in the less popular camp here – but I think this is a great box so far!

  32. I’m excited for this box, too. I chose the silver bracelet, the body butter, the Bloom clutch, and the Fresh Linen candle (I love sandalwood). Looking forward to the rest of the box!

    • Ditto!! This is a fun box from my perspective. Fab fun!! Can’t wait! And I’m ordering a few things in the add – ons, a new pair of sunglasses, wallet and shaving cream…. Bring it on fff! I’m looking forwards to discovering the other items in the box.

    • Also excited over here! The few things I’m iffy about can easily be gifted. I loveeee the candle and the clutch!

  33. I had just subscribed a few weeks ago for the editor box and I cancelled this today. I’ll leave it cancelled unless there are great other spoilers. I MIGHT have stayed subscribed if I could have picked my clutch or candle, since I was just seasonal I couldn’t. I didn’t like either jewelry, not really the clutch either but could have gifted, and would have only maybe enjoyed the candle and cream. I’ll eBay or swap for those I guess! I’d really like access to the add-ons but this box wasn’t worth it to me.

  34. Maybe because it’s already spring-like weather here (too warm, too soon IMO) but I’m excited for this box. I chose the rose LOVE bracelet (agree the tassel earrings are a mess), the Manhattan Beach candle (love the scent), the lip masks AND the Korres body butter (dry AF here; can never have enough butters and lotions), and the Bloom clutch. I wish there was the option to purchase additional clutches and candles. Will be looking to swap for them.

  35. I think I’m going to cancel FFF and get Sundae Home instead.

  36. It doesn’t seem as though I’m alone when I say “yuck” to the jewelry options. I too am considering canceling my annual membership, as I’m finding that I’m not using the items very much.

For what it’s worth for other bibliophiles out there – I often use clutches to put books in so they don’t get damaged in my handbag.

    • Yuck to the jewelry. I liked the winter box, tho.

    • I love your clutch/book idea. I have a thing about keeping books pristine.

      Thank you!

  37. wow, the ettika website has numerous much much prettier earrings, with more unique and interesting designs, for significantly lower RVs. in fact, these are the 3rd most expensive ones and are the most dull. other similar tassel ones with the same RV even have more interesting designs. clearly these were made specifically for this box, and the inflation is blatant.

  38. I must have subscription box overload. Although the clutches are nice,, I don’t use clutches. Candle will make nice decor. I am still not over the cheap bracelet and earrings in a previous FFF box. I want to get some items in add-ons then I will probably cancel my subscription. Time to move on to something else for a while.

  39. $45 for a candle? Really? Will it bring me my wine as it burns?

    • 😂😂 nailed it.
