Dollar Shave Club February 2018 Review
Dollar Shave Club includes a monthly newsletter called, “The Bathroom Minutes” for some quality bathroom reading material with comic relief. This month features articles related to Valentines Day – It’s pretty great!
Let’s take a look at what’s inside my personalized add-on box!
Daily Face Moisturizer, 2 oz. – Add-on Cost: $9.00
I’m very picky when it comes to putting anything on my face as I tend to breakout when trying new products, but I had no issues with this moisturizer! The weight is very “light”, which is a huge plus and it’s non-scented, which is another big win. This SPF based (another win!) daily moisturizer does a pretty good job of keeping my skin hydrated while not making me breakout. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a daily face cream, I suggest you giving this a try!
Wanderer Calming Body Cleanser – Mint & Cedarwood, 12 oz. – Add-on Cost: $9.50
I love trying new body washes, so I was excited to test this out from Dollar Shave Club. I was instantly drawn to the mint and cedar smell; I love anything with a woodsy smell, so I knew this would be a hit! The body wash (while smelling awesome!), also felt nice on my skin both during and after my shower. My skin didn’t feel dry or over-exfoliated, just moisturized, just as it did the with other scents I’ve tried from Dollar Shave Club.
Peppermint Kick Toothpaste, 3.2 oz. – Add-on Cost: $5.00
I’m always on the hunt for new minty kinds of toothpaste, so I was pretty excited to test out Dollar Shave Club’s! This toothpaste, while it isn’t the mintiest I’ve ever tried, really did a nice job of making my mouth feel clean and fresh. If you like a mint toothpaste but don’t like it too strong, this one is for you!
Daily Face Cleanser, 3 oz – Add-on Cost: $5.50
Like I said earlier, I’m always hesitant trying new skincare products due to my sensitive skin, but since I haven’t any issues with Dollar Shave Club skin products in the past, I thought this would be a great product to test out. This face wash, which smells amazing (I love the scent of ginger!), does a really nice job of making my face feel clean, while not drying it out, which is an issue I tend to run into quite a bit. If you have sensitive skin and love a clean smell, I suggest you giving this face wash a try!
Verdict: This is my third experience with Dollar Shave Club and I continue to be more and more impressed with the quality of their products and how well they work! The quality is high and the prices are fair. If you’re looking for new grooming products, I suggest you giving their add-on products a try!
