Bombay & Cedar is a luxury lifestyle subscription box for women that focuses on essential oils, diffusers, skincare, books, snacks & other products.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Bombay & Cedar

The Cost: $49.95 per month + $6.95 shipping

The Products: Each box features full size and deluxe sample size products including essential oils, diffusers, skincare, books, snacks & other products.

Ships to: Worldwide

The box comes with a booklet with tips and details on the items included:

Now, on to the items!

Ujjayi Wonder Mist - Retail Value $24

This spray can be used as a pre and post yoga mist, as well as a toner.

This mist is super fine, and the scent is light and refreshing. It's a nice pick-me-up!

Serene House Pirouette Personal Scent Diffuser - Retail Value $14.95

How fun is this?! It's a wooden spinning top with a ceramic stone. (You place drops of essential oil on the ceramic stone then spin to release the scent!)

A pleasing, peaceful desk accessory with a side of Inception!

Justea Little Berry Hibiscus Loose Leaf Tea - Retail Value $12.99

This is a fantastic tea in every way. The packaging is pretty and comes with a wooden scoop, the tea is all-natural, and this company only uses fair-trade ingredients and supports Kenyan farmers.

The tea is a blend of pink hibiscus petals, purple berries, green lemongrass and red rooibos. This is just a bit tart, caffeine free, and works as iced tea, too.

I love the beaded accent on the spoon!

Pinky Up Stainless Steel Infuser Stick - Retail Value $11.99

I've seen a lot of tea diffusers thanks to subscription boxes, and they all work pretty well, but this one IS THE BEST ONE!

How slick is this design? It hangs on to the edge of your glass/mug with the curved handle.

And just slide up the screen to fill and release the tea. (They recommend hand washing it, but since it's all stainless steel, this is going in the dishwasher!)

The Little Book of Quiet - Retail Value $9.95

Book Summary from Amazon:

Some of the most influential people in history have made themselves heard despite their quiet voices and personalities, such as Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Bill Gates. The Little Book of Quiet takes a broad look at the need for, and the benefits of, achieving more quiet in your life. It will teach introverts how to harness their many positive qualities, and help extroverts to allow more quiet into their lives. Now that everyone is connected digitally 24/7, more emphasis is being placed on achieving higher emotional intelligence (EQ) to empathize and negotiate with others.

The ability to be quiet is not only a key people skill, and a basic requirement of being a good listener, but it is also known to reduce stress, and help you find inner calm as it brings your focus back to the present world around you. The Little Book of Quiet explores the different ways of achieving more quiet in our lives, through tips, exercises, inspirational quotes and through the teachings of mindfulness.

This little clothbound book is so cute, and it totally speaks my language. I found the book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, to be a life-changing book, and this is a nice little reminder of some of the lessons in that book.

(If you are an Introvert, I highly recommend Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. It helped me see the strengths in some of the things I considered weaknesses, and I learned about the benefits of things like restorative niches!)

Sticky By Socks "Be Mindful" Grip Socks - Retail Value $15

These grippy socks have a padded footbed, elastic arch support for compression, and are made from 80% cotton, 20% spandex/elastane.

Great for yoga and other mat excercises. (And I totally use these types of socks for just not slipping on our tile floors, too.)

Awesome Sticky Pad - Bonus Gift

This was an additional item included for all subscribers as a thank you for sharing their box on social media!

Munk Pack Double Dark Chocolate Protein Cookie - Retail Value $3

Munk Pack is one of my husband Eric's favorite new brands, so he was happy to sample this cookie for the review!

This cookie is gluten-free, NON-GMO, vegan, and contains no sugar alcohols, no trans fats, no dairy, no soy, and no eggs. And it still tastes good! 🙂

(Eric also recommends the Munk Pack Oatmeal Fruit Squeezes.)

And each Bombay & Cedar box includes essential oils!

Bombay & Cedar Cypress Essential Oil - Value Listed $16

They also include a card listing the benefits of the oil, and blending recommendations.

Bombay & Cedar Frankincense Essential Oil - Value Listed $16

This oil is certified organic, as well!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $124! I think that’s great for a $56.90 box that focuses on quality-ingredient items. This box is just such a thoughtful, inspired treat to open. This would make a great gift, too!

Gilt.com has great deals on this

Updating this to say that the price you pay on Gilt for the sub does NOT cover shipping. So in addition to the $99 for a 3 Mo sub, I was just charged $21 for shipping. So it’s $40 a box, not the $33/Box I thought I was getting. Still better than $56.40 retail, but a surprise nevertheless!

I was able to get in on the gilt city deal for this box and will receive my first box this month! I would love to have that book as I am an introvert that was once an extrovert! Great review Liz!

This is a really nice box – I always hate when boxes charge shipping though! Why! Just include it into the price of the box, it’s such a turn off.

That book is a great one, I read it a few years ago and it’s really insightful and a short read! I should pick it up again!

I’m an introvert and I never got around to reading it. I will now. Maybe thats why I enjoy MSA far far above all others.
