Birchbox Man February 2018 Review

Birchbox Man

This month’s theme was Pit Stop!

Birchbox Man

Birchbox Man

Each delivery comes with an information card that details the items in your box. One thing to note – the values on this card represent the full-size values. I’ll break down the values based on ounces for each item!

Birchbox Man

Anthony Glycolic Facial Cleanser, 1 fl oz. – Estimated Value $3.50 (Buy an 8 fl oz. bottle for $28)

I’m typically particular my face washes; new washes tend to leave my face dry and I’m hesitant to try new ones after finding something I like. After trying this new cleanser from Anthony, I am happy to report that I didn’t have the issues I usually run into! After washing my face, this didn’t leave me feeling dry, and I felt totally clean and fresh. If you have dry skin issues like myself, I suggest you giving this one a try!

Birchbox Man

Billy Jealousy Combination Code Face Moisturizer, .5 fl oz. – Estimated Value $4.33 (Buy a 3 fl oz. bottle for $26)

Like I said in earlier, I’m hesitant to try new face products as my skin is more on the sensitive side and am hesitant to try new products. I definitely don’t have any issues with this face moisturizer from Billy Jealousy, though! This cream is very “light” and isn’t overly scented, which is something I really appreciate in all of my skincare products. My favorite part was that after applying this in the morning, my face felt moisturized for the whole day, which was a huge win, especially during this winter weather!

Birchbox Man

Billy Jealousy Gold Standard 4-in-1 Wash, .5 fl oz. – Estimated Value $1.13 (Buy a 16 fl oz. bottle for $36)

This 4-in-1 wash smells great, especially the papaya, it’s nothing like I’ve ever washed with before and I can definitely see myself using this in the future. My only complaint is that I wish they sent a larger size because this only lasted me one wash and I’m wanting more! Either way, this stuff works great and smells even better!

Birchbox Man

Level Naturals Bar Soap, 1 oz. – Estimated Value $1.38 (Buy a 5.8 oz. bar for $8)

Unlike the papaya body wash that was very fragrant, I didn’t care for the scent of this vanilla + charcoal bar soap. It wasn’t bad, just a scent I’d prefer to not wash with. I usually tend to stay away from bar soaps, too, as I feel they leave more of a residue and that’s not what I’m looking for when taking a shower! This one was a miss for me.

Birchbox Man

Hims Multivitamins Supplement Gummies, 10 gummies – Estimated Value $5.33 (Buy a bottle of 30 gummies for $16)

These gummy bear vitamins may be my favorite item in the box! Look how fun and delicious they look:

Birchbox Man

These gummy vitamins promote healthy hair, nails, and skin, along with supporting nerves and digestion. I already take a multivitamin every day, but they aren’t nearly as fun or tasty as these! I think I may have found a new morning multivitamin that basically tastes like candy 🙂

Verdict: I like sampling products and building up a little sample arsenal, especially when I’m always on the hunt for new and exciting products! The value received in this month’s box was $15.67, which exceeds the $10 (+ free shipping!) to receive. I think Birchbox Man does a great job of sending new products that the modern guy should give a shot, especially when you’re on the more hesitant side like myself.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You aren’t guaranteed to receive the same samples I did in my box, but sign up here if you’d like to test out new samples!

Coupon – Now through 3/1, use coupon code LIMITED to save 30% off all Birchbox and BirchboxMan Limited Edition Boxes!

Or, Use code LIPTHERAPY to get a bonus full-size Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 in Natural Mint & Shea Butter. And don’t forget to add a free mystery sample pack!

Value Breakdown: At a box price of $10, you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Bodywash: $0.72
  • Bar soap: $0.89
  • Face Moisturizer: $2.76
  • Gummies: $3.40
  • Facial Cleanser: $2.23

  1. Hi Rob! Great review! Thanks. I’m curious….was your BirchboxMan package addressed to “The Brave Rob Keating”? Because that’s how my husband’s box was addressed: to “The Brave” followed by his first and last name! This is only his second box, and we didn’t notice such an address last month, so we were just wondering if this is typical??? It certainly provided us with some amusement!

    • It is a common thing for them to give the customer name an encouraging adjective on each shipment. at least for me it has been.

      • Thanks for replying–we will keep an eye out for it!

  2. Good review!
