Jontéblu High Definition Matte Lipstick in Esmeralda tube closed

Jontéblu High Definition Matte Lipstick in Esmeralda worn

Jontéblu High Definition Matte Lipstick in Esmeralda - Retail Value $7

This is a bright red matte lipstick that has opaque coverage with one swipe. The formula is smooth and thin and feels comfortable on my lips. The finish is more of a creamy matte than true matte. In this shot, I probably needed a lip liner or lip brush to smooth out the edges of the color.

Profusion Eyebrow Pencil

Profusion Eyebrow Pencil

Profusion Eyebrow Pencil spoolie

Profusion Eyebrow Pencil - Estimated Value $5

This dual-ended eyebrow pencil has a traditional pencil on one end and a small spoolie brush on the other. The shade is a little too warm for my brows but I like the formula because it is easily blended out and stays all day.

Luna Highlighter in Crescent compact with box

Luna Highlighter in Crescent compact open

Luna Highlighter in Crescent, .3g - Retail Value $23

In the pan, this highlighter looks white but once applied it has a pink iridescent shimmer. The baked powder is soft and easily buildable. I think it works really well in the corners of my eyes and under my brow bone.

Bellápierre Cosmetics 12 Color Pro Matte Lip Palette

Bellápierre Cosmetics 12 Color Pro Matte Lip Palette - Retail Value $50

It looks a little strange to have such neutral lip colors in a palette next to vivid brights and heavy darks but it makes for perfect blending of custom colors. I like that the formulas are creamy and thin so they easily mix and blend on the lips. They also have a satin finish and feel very moisturizing.

Here I played with 3 looks with this palette. Please excuse the lack of face and eye makeup, I would definitely have a coordinating look if I were to wear these out. The first is a simple pinky-nude lip using Nude. The second is a gradient purple lip using Black Dahlia and Vivacious. The crazy blue look is a gradient blue-pink using White Out all over, then blending Cobalt Blue on the outer lips with Aloha in the center. While I probably won’t be rocking blue lips out and about, you can see that there are a lot of fun possibilities with this palette.

swatches

All of the items swatched. The lip palette shades are all on the left and bottom 5 on the right. The highlighter is top right with the brow pencil and then the lipstick below.

Verdict: Yes, Oh Yas! has a value of $85. That is a good value for a cost of $12.99 plus shipping! I’m glad they included a lip palette because I don’t have one and it’s fun to mix colors for a customized look. The highlighter is also a great addition to my makeup bag. I’m not crazy about the lipstick being included when the was a lip palette too and the brow pencil doesn’t work with my brow color. I think this box is a great value altogether if you like playing around with more dramatic makeup looks. Also, their Instagram is a great way to check out inspiration from other makeup lovers.

I just saw that palette at TJ Maxx for $4.99 on Sunday.

Same. And at Ross stores also. They have a lot of that brand. And a lot of Manna Kadar and profusion . I mean that’s fine but I can’t trust a company that has it for fifty dollars on their website when it’s always under ten dollars everywhere I look

I would of loved to play with that lip palette. I think I will try this Sub. Not bad at all and for the price it’s very reasonable and if there’s something I don’t like I can give to the homeless shelters. It’s a win, win. Great review and beautiful as always Tiffany.

I was not happy with what was in my ipsy this month so I was thinking of trying this box out next month and pausing ipsy! I think it looks good for the price

I’m tempted! I wonder if the palette could be used as cream eyeshadows? Thanks for the fun lip looks, you should do a tutorial!

Good box!

I know the Luna brand has been creeping into more & more sub boxes, but so far my only experience with it has been this “Crescent” baked highlighter, & I was pleasantly surprised.

A lip palette is a cool item to receive in a box — it’s not something that I would buy for myself at full price, but it sure looks fun to play with!

I was just going to post about that Luna brand re: so much in sub boxes these days. It reminds me of MannaKadar now. If I had one wish, I’d like to see more sub boxes do vivid/bright/bold colors such as that (I know some do, just wish others would venture out from the neutrals/nudes).

I wish the highlighter craze would slow down as well.

I caved and ordered. Not sure if I’ll be getting the January or February box though. Not a fan of Jan, but Feb looks amazing!! Really loving that Bellapierre lip palette though. The colors look fun!! Thanks for reviewing!!

What did you use to mix and apply the lipcolors? I’ve never done anything like that before and am curious!
