Wantable Fitness is a fitness styling subscription service similar to Stitch Fix. You fill out an in-depth survey about your fitness clothing preferences, and your stylist picks out items for you. Wantable Fitness has been around for years, but they just announced in December that they were expanding to include plus sizes, and I could not be more excited! I signed up right away!

Wantable Plus Fitness January 2018 Review

This month only, subscribers can earn a $20 credit for keeping just three items! Cool!

When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Christina. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.

This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $436. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $107.20. That's a deep discount!

Essential Tech Short Sleeve Mesh Back Tee by ActiveZone - Cost to Keep $40

I am amped for new workout clothes for a new year! This tee is a good example of why. I am really interested in trying out the new fabrics and cuts used in activewear! I like the idea of this cotton-blend top a lot, and I think the big open area in the back would help to keep me cool! I like it.

I absolutely love these leggings! Have you ever seen tweed looking leggings for workouts in your life? I think they would be nice and warm, even with the super cool mesh panels. My only issue is that I seem to have ordered the wrong size in leggings. Both pairs I received this month are saggy and could not be trusted to stay on during a workout. I like a bit of compression in my leggings. I need to size down.

I have never seen such a stylish workout jacket! This is so flattering and cute! I love it! I love the thick knit fabric, and the draping in the front is so flattering! Plus the little zipper is such a nice detail. It feels really well made.

I love this tee, too! The color is beautiful. It has small mesh vents and is supposedly "sweat-wicking". It was about 20 degrees outside when I took this picture, so I will have to trust them on that point. But I can't wait to find out!

I love the moto detailing on these leggings! They are so cool looking, and they feel very well made. But again, I seem to have ordered the wrong size in leggings and need to size down.

Do you know what I absolutely love in wintertime? Thumbholes! This jacket is just gorgeous. It's super thick and sturdy, too. This spandex blend jacket also has a great cut and is fairly figure flattering, too.

As much as I love the back mesh detail, and I really do love it, this top is just too big for me. There is excess fabric everywhere. This cotton blend top looks so cute on the model in the picture, and it was the piece I was most excited about when I pulled it out of the box, but it just doesn't fit right.

The Verdict: What a great first box from Wantable Fitness Edit! I wish I could keep everything, but there were definite sizing issues with the leggings and olive top. I especially loved the pink tee and black wrap jacket, though! I think the prices are fairly reasonable, and I love the way everything was carefully arranged for me into outfits. Here's hoping my new workout clothes keep me motivated to work out this month! Happy New Year!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual's preferences as well as what's available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $436.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I'd end up spending $328.80 for the whole box. Ultimately, that's a savings of about 25%. The average price per piece is $62.29.

Unfortenately, I’m not impressed with these plus-size wares, a lot of this stuff seems extremely average stuff you’d see at Target. Everything seems like Anna is swimming in it as well. I’m hoping the next box is a little better in fit at least, but also some more interestting tops.

Christine

I have to agree with you. The fit seems to be off. I also feel like they are something you could get at target ect…

Looks nice but unaffordable for me.

I couldn’t even take one picture in a dress outside when it was 20 out. And you did everything for a whole box!

Anna

Lol! I did several boxes in that mess, Ragan! I can’t believe how cold it has been!!!

“ The average price per piece is $62.29.”
*choke gasp*

Sorry to say I think that’s a rip off. You can find much better clothing deals with online coupons combined with store sales. Even boutique clothing. I like to cultivate my own wardrobe because I enjoy styling myself and finding low low prices. Though I wouldn’t like getting a “stylist in a box” myself, I can understand the fun appeal of it. I enjoyed reading your review. It’s fun seeing the joy you get from it!

IMO: Keep both leggings. Cool mesh cutouts and nice fabrics. Sizing looks like it fits you great on those too. Keep the Odyssey asymmetrical jacket. Flattering and great color (though wayyy overpriced). Fushia shirt looks great but again can get similar with same wicking fabric for sale under $10 in athletic women’s plus clothing at any mall. Floral jacket has a Golden Girls vibe. You’re right about the last shirt. Should’ve worked but is “off”. The leggings are the best score of this haul and the most reasonably priced due to the elaborate detailing and mixed media. Love that wrap jacket on you. Looks awesome!

THank you Mwah!

I agree the prices for these pieces are in my opinion ridiculous. Even at yogaclub much better brands , quality and styles and cheaper.

Morgan

Can you exchange the olive top? That and the first jacket were definite winners.

Anna

Good thinking Morgan!

I liked both leggings but voted to return them only because they need to be sized right! They are cute though and you should definitely try a different size! Thanks for the awesome review, I’m still not subscribing since $300+ of workout gear isn’t something I need at the moment or can come close to affording (and fabletics sales are my go-to) but I’m really happy to see this subscription is branching out in sizes! That berry top looks so good with your skin tone though and paired with the wrap jacket and even jeans would be cute to go all around town in 😀

$50 is an awful lot for a t shirt. You look great in everything!

I finally had to cancel my order 🙁 I ordered and never got any kind of tracking or anything waited and waited so decided to go another route and found a fitness clothing sub and they already shipped my box. Idk if I just had bad luck or if it always takes so long. I also notice they don’t have a whole lot of items I really liked same kind of stuff over and over. Not much to choose from on their stream. Oh well….

Anna

That is really odd Christine! I have subscribed to all the Wantable subs at some point or another and never had that problem. I’m sorry that happened to you!
