Nourish Nails Water-Based Nail Polish in Like a Queen - Value $12.50

Every month, subscribers will get a new shade of nail polish from Nourish Beauty's own line. This is a water-based formula. Here is a bit more on the difference between this formula and your standard nail polish formulas:

The ultimate, ultra gentle nail varnish formulation with a revolutionary water-based resin that creates a high shine coating that is both air and water permeable. This allows for oxygen and water to reach the nail bed to help nails stay healthy, stronger and to help reduce discoloration. The unique nourishing formulation provides a super high-shine coat, long-lasting color and a fast-drying finish.

Here it is on:

What a Spring-y minty green!

Good to know about these formulas: They are 1 coat full-coverage and quick drying. (Amazing!) But they tend to peel off pretty easily after a day or two. (Apply a top coat to take care of that!)

Peony Sparkling Serum - Retail Value $25

This serum is designed to help diminish the signs of aging and provide hydration. It has a subtle, light fragrance, absorbed quickly, and felt hydrating and gentle on my dry, winter skin.

Seraphine Botanicals Love + Light Highlighter Cream in Veil - Retail Value $25

This is a golden shimmer highlighter with great pigment, a brush applicator, and an easy-to-blend formula. Here it is swatched:

Dirty Lamb Organic Turkish Coffee Mask - Retail Value $44

This mask had hardened due to the cold weather, but the instructions to run the jar under warm water pretty much worked for softening it. Even so, I found this worked better as an exfoliating scrub than a mask. The organic coffee powder was fine enough to be able to use this several times a week, and the organic coconut oil left my skin moisturized.

Verdict: This box has a value of just about $106.50 which is good for a natural box that costs $34.95 with free shipping worldwide! If you're looking for an ingredient-conscious beauty box and you want a new nail polish color every month, I recommend this one!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! The 25th of every month is the cutoff.

Value Breakdown: At $34.95 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Nail Polish: $4.10
  • Serum: $8.20
  • Highlighter: $8.20
  • Mask: $14.44

I like everything and am considering subscribing. I have a couple of products from Seraphine botanicals and I really like them (but I do have enough highlighter but maybe I like theirs better) I also like nail polish and that is a loverly color the mint.

I wish Nourish Beauty would go back to either their old subscription model (3-full sized products from various (higher-end) green beauty brands + a super cute tote bag) or not always include two products from brands like Seraphine & Peony, etc.. I would have re-subscribed to this box in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the guaranteed inclusion of those brands. I know those brands are good quality, but they’re not brands that gets me excited to receive. Cute packaging though! I personally don’t mind the nail polish in every box, and do like that they still do include one product from a different green beauty brand in each box (btw, that Dirty Lamb mask can easily be found at Marshall’s!).

I also wish that they would return to the previous model with the tote bag (even though I didn’t think that it was worth the $23 noted value). I was a subscriber from the start and have received every month except for a handful last year.

I wish they didn’t always include nail polish, I don’t wear it, so knowing every month there will be one item I have to gift or swap is a bridge too far. Everything else I’d enjoy trying though.

I would have preferred a winter polish. Spring will come soon enough.
